Booked the station for mothers day dinner and was not disappointed in any way. In total there was 6 of us including a forthcoming centenarian and it was wonderful, we was sat in the newly refurbished dining room, plenty of friendly banter, food was great in every meal and everyone had something different , all served on hot plates, and...

This is the 2nd time staying in this hotel. The first being in December 2016 as it is not far from Capernwray Dive Centre. Despite being under renovation, my friends and I can't fault this place. The staff are amazing - Carol, Nigel, Callum (those are the names I remember)plus all the others we met. The food is fantastic -...

Last Wednesday, my sister, mother, a good friend and myself visited the station for afternoon tea and we couldn't have been made to feel more welcome They are having some alterations to the main entrance and restaurant so we were in the bar area, but this didn't matter. The room had a fire lit and was warm and inviting We...

We called in here on our way through Lancashire and back down to the Midlands. Firstly we were greeted by an extremely friendly and helpful young man behind the bar (what a delight to find these days!) We weren't expecting a lot from the food to be honest... how wrong could we be! The beef and Yorkshire pudding was amazing,...

We ate here for the third time in a couple of months. The food was beautifully cooked, all fresh and nicely served. However the real story is the transformation. From being Run down and unloved the present owners have started a very ambitious programme to restore this splendid building and make it the focal point of the town. Already the...

My friend and I travelled to Carnforth Royal Station Hotel for a short two day break on the 27/28 December 2016 and were delighted at the choice of hotel. Glen and Maggie are doing a power of work on this old hotel and are successfully transforming it into a must venue for all. We were greeted on arrival by Maggie...

To be honest, I tend to avoid lower cost hotels that have "Royal" in their name, as they usually turn out to be pretty poor, and this one was no exception! I had to be on site in Carforth Railway depot early on Monday morning, so needed somewhere local to stay. This hotel is badly run down and nothing but...
