Stayed at the Potter's Heron between Christmas and New Year, whilst visiting family locally. The hotel staff were helpful, friendly, approachable, and professional. Room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. Breakfast was excellent, and lunches/dinners were also excellent. Only slight niggle was to have to pay double room rate on New Year's Eve, but not to have any...

we arrived on Christmas Day evening and left four days later. The room was super king-size (twin beds joined) with a good bathroom (shower over the bath), balcony and view over woodland. It was quiet. Breakfast provided a substantial start to the day with a fair range of good quality choices. We stopped to dinner once and that was a...

I have stayed here many times over the years. But never again. I don't mind that the hotel has become a bit sad and run down. I don't even mind that the staff now struggle to speak English. I also don't mind that as a result of this the staff come across as being rude (And regard customers as nothing...

I checked in to this hotel after a cold uncomfortable week at jury's in Southampton. The contrast is amazing and a relief. The bar has plenty of atmosphere. The restaurant is great. The food is great including breakfast . All a big improvement on jury's. My room is warm and comfortable. Well worth the move. I'll be staying here again...

We've stayed at the Potters Heron twice now, because it has been convenient for where we needed to be. It is a vast old place, now with rooms added on to it as bedrooms and function rooms. Despite an interesting non-corporate decor, it still has that 'conference' feel to it. Our room was large, but the bed was small. The...

The food, entertainment & service we received was first class & it's almost certain we will be booking again for future event at the Hotel. Thanks to all the Staff who made our stay a very enjoyable one.

Three of us ate lunch at the Potters Heron this week, the food and service was very good. We had the Thai Chicken, Braised Beef and a Caesar Salad, all dishes looked good on the plate and tasted well, I would highly recommend the slow cooked braised beef which just melted in the mouth. Drinks before and coffee afterwards were...

I attended a Christmas Party Night at the Potters Heron last Friday in a group of 25 work colleagues. We were in the Garden Room which was beautifully decorated. The food service was efficient and all the meals were delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful and the DJ played great party music. A good time was had by all.

Went here for the company Christmas bash. Lovely function room, well laid out. Good disco. Nice touch with the strolling players from the local Round Table. That's the good bits. Now the average bits: * For most of the time before the meal, only one person serving. Took ages...and the drinks are far from cheap. * Again, took ages to...
