A quite modern complex with a huge bar, dining and patio complex on the ground floor. It was all a bit 'disco' for me so I avoided it. The receptionist was great. The room was very spacious and the bed comfy. Very reasonably priced. BUT - the walls are paper thin. There were two guys sharing in the next room to mine and they seemed to have two showers each in the morning. I could hear their conversation without any effort. From rising at 7 to finally leaving at 8:15 it would have been impossible to sleep. Now, I was up anyway so it didn't really affect me but it could have. Also, the Wifi was extremely wobbly, I guess I could access it 50% of the time when I stood by the window.

I recently returned home from a 6day holiday with my friend at the oyster Fleet. Every aspect of this holiday was very good. Our budget room was small but adequate.Only had a couple of meals in hotel but what we had were excellent. All staff, especially the reception and bar were very helpful. The outside setting by the lake was very pleasant especially with the great late summer weather we had while there. Overall would thoughly recommend!

I work away from home constantly, and thus I see many hotels, The Oysterfleet did something I have never experienced before, due to lack of a fridge, something common in most hotels I keep milk in the wash basin, I'm sure lots of people in my situation do the same thing, obviously the water reaches room temperature during the day but it preserves the milk for a day longer than it should last, now the hotel provides plenty of milk for tea etc but I like to keep some just incase the staff forget to replenish, they are only human after all. I've just returned to my freshly cleaned room and found a small plastic bucket with ice water in the wash basin and my milk inside it, that to me is excellent service to the customer, they have seen an issue and reacted upon it. Good parking, great bar, comfy huge rooms, good nights sleep and tasty food and hot showers with enough water pressure to take the skin off your back, that's why it's my chosen hotel when working in this area of the UK. Congrats to the staff for the inspiring work.

We booked a Thursday and then the following Sunday to fit in with visiting family. We had 2 different rooms and both were clean, spacious and adequate. The staff were great and due to Covid we had to book breakfast for the following day and it was good, but maybe a bit pricey at £12 a head. Car parking is free and plentiful and the bar meals are very good.

As checkin was from 4-9 this gave us the opportunity to drive straight to Southend pier from London and spend the day there. We then decided to head to the hotel for dinner- we were running late (kitchen closed 8:30pm)but Mandy on reception called though and they said it was fine! Check in So when arrived, Mandy checked us in She was warm, friendly and made us feel comfortable straight away. - Room key given - Car registration given (ample free parking) - Booked and paid for breakfast for the next day. Food and outside seating We sat in the most beautiful location with the Sun setting in front of us alongside the lake. The menu had a wide range of yummy dishes We had chicken linguine, seafood paella and burger chips and coleslaw. Food was presented well and tasty. - Mally who served us at the bar was patient, helpful, friendly and honest. We paid for our food and went to our table but moments later he arrived with some change and said he’d overcharged me-was very nice of him to do that. Rooms Booked a family room (31) for 2 adults 2 kids with two single beds and one double. The room had Tea and coffee facilities, hairdryer, Power shower, tv, table, chairs, hangers and towels. Beds were medium soft and clean. Quite and slept fine. Unfortunately there was no mini fridge which would’ve been very helpful to keep our things cool in the heat, bathroom floor a bit worn, tap dripping and No phone in room to call reception which was closed at 9pm anyway. Arrrr and no WiFi - there was however Bt WiFi that you had to login and pay for yourself. Breakfast Amazing- loved it- so tasty! We had a full English, toast, jams, sauces, juice, coffees and tea. Micheal who took us to our table and served us was wonderful - friendly, cheerful, polite and professional- made us feel so comfortable Check out Super super easy! Key given and we left! Area This hotel was just off the High Street (4mins). We were in walking distance from Greggs, Costa, Sainsbury’s clothes shops, boots, pound shop etc We walked 25/30mins straight to the Canvey island sea front. Nice, calm and relaxed atmosphere. Really easy walk from the hotel… turn right from hotel walk up past High Street right to the end of the road and you come to the funfair with £5 wristbands and the seafront! Ice cream, food and drinks can be had here -we had Brunos fish and chips which had great portion sizes and was very yummy! Southend - now this hotel is a bit far from Southend we drove it a few times and it took us 30-40minutes but if don’t mind the drive And want to explore canvey and Southend then this is the hotel to stay in. Before we arrived we called to get some information about the area and where to visit the lady on reception was most helpful- So thank you Michaela and also thank you Charlene and Mandy too who were very helpful over the phone. Overall the staff WE interacted with were polite, friendly and welcoming which made a big difference to our stay. Covid secure with signing in, track and trace and masks worn too also Cleaners didn’t enter our room throughout our stay so dirty towels were left outside door and new ones given. Thank you Oysterfleet we enjoyed our half term stay with you. :)
