We only stayed here for one night, wish it could have been longer. Such an interesting old building that has been thoroughly modernised inside. Our hosts were lovely people, very welcoming and informative. A lovely room and also a cosy, snug shared sitting room on the ground floor. One of the best B & Bs we have stayed in, highly... More

We booked for the weekend and the indifferent weather did not spoil our stay. The place is immaculate and furnished to the very highest standard and the welcome is charming and warm with fresh cakes and the basics provided too such as bread, milk, eggs, bacon and fruit juice. Absolutely marvellous! The location is stunning with views of the cliff... More

We had a fantastic stay. Penny and John were so welcoming, breakfast was fantastic and the view was amazing. We will definitely be returning and we've been recommending it to all our friends and family. The master bedroom was beautiful and a very comfortable bed. Easy to find and a perfect location.

When I was in Cawsand 5 years ago, I noticed this B&B and decided to stay there if I ever came back to this wonderful village. And this year I did go back, and I stayed with Penny and John for 5 wonderful days :) From the moment I rang the doorbell and John came to greet me and carry... More

We stayed here for two nights over New Years Eve having been invited to celebrate with friends who live in the area. The Schoolhouse totally exceeded our expectations; the accommodation, the hospitality and the breakfast were all outstanding and John and Penny were wonderful hosts. We arrived later than expected on New years eve and John kindly waited in to... More

From booking our stay to arriving was a personal and professional experience. Our hosts were friendly and full of local knowledge. The room we stayed in was breathtaking and comfortable. The breakfast lacked for nothing and the views from bedroom to the kitchen diner were faultless. We will be back and intend to bring the rest of our family so... More

We were going to a wedding at Polhawn Fort and stayed for 2 nights. We stayed in the master bedroom which has a 4 poster bed which was really comfy. The room was a good size and very clean. The best part was the little balcony looking directly out to the sea. John and Penny are excellent hosts too. Very... More

Stayed here for a short break with family. It was really lovely. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the owners were incredibly kind and chatty. Breakfast was to die for. Home cooked muesli, fruit salad and yoghurt followed by full English (looked great) or any cooked of your choice. I had smoked salmon and scrambled egg which was... More

The only thing better than the hospitality was the ever changing views from the balcony and breakfast table. It felt like the perfect balance between staying with a friend (in an amazing setting) and a romantic b&b We stayed in the master room which was cozy clean had the most beautiful views over the beaches and sea. And you are... More
