When we booked this we were half expecting some kind of 'modern' castle (think Neuschwanstein), but were totally wrong. This is the real deal, a real castle, complete with old turret that winds up to a spectacular view on the terrace! It has a dual bridge over the moat - one for guests to the castle and the lower one... More

We booked a Romantic VIP weekend in a special room. On the friday before arrival I recieved a call from the staff with the remark there was a double booking problem that they were trying to solve. I ordered a long time before so declined a request to reschedule. On the day of arrival we got the message there was... More

The castle was beautiful and most of the staff was wonderful, however, the owner Alex acted VERY inappropriately.. He came into our room unannounced while my 11 year old daughter was having a bath and refused to leave when asked. All because he was doing a tour and wanted to show a group of over 15 people all the rooms,... More

Ever wanted a night in a castle? In the Netherlands you can! A superb place to stay for business or just to get a rest. Very popular for weddings. Take a room in one of the castle towers during full moon and you think you live in the 17th century. You have to book the special rooms a few months... More

I stayed here after a wedding party. The surroundings are nice and soothing. The castle itself and its rooms are nice, but not top notch. What does make the difference here is the personell. I had a coffee at 3pm on Saturday, when I woke up on Sunday and went to the breakfast room said: "strong coffee, no sugar right?"... More

There are three rooms in the actual tower itself, one of which is the Owl room which we stayed in. The room was amazing, with a circular shape and high ceiling. It has an old cooper tub. The downside to this room is that the toilet has no walls around it, so you need to be staying with someone you... More

We were staying with 7 people for 2 night. we stayed in the rooms in the building next to the castle and the rooms are special. The bathrooms are modern and the bedrooms are very simple. No TV, no hairdryer but they are nice anyway. I had a room that was very dark due to the trees outside. The staff... More

This castle makes for a very special experience of historic grandeur and modern comfort. It is also very suitable for groups and family outings that can have their own gatherings, cooking and dining facilities. Definitely worth its pricing.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and was really disappointed. It was a rather scary experience for me, as I came for business trip. It shall not be called 4 star Hotel on booking.com... it is more a B&B type property. The Castle itself is nicely maintained & has lots of nice old furniture. A lady who served... More

We arrived 'late' around 6pm Had to call duty manager to get through barrier and in to room Very helpful - carried luggage up the stairs for us We were in a tower room, which whilst lovely and authentic, we really hadn't considered the toilet being right next to the bed - as I wasn't feeling great that wasn't ideal....
