We travelled here as a family to celebrate my Mum's 80th. The setting is a delight; peacefully located up in the hills an hour or so north of Seville, and when you walk through the gates you'll think you have found paradise - beautiful flowers, tinkling water and a rustic charm which has been painstakingly created over many decades. Having been given a very positive build up, Trasierra sadly proved to be quite a disappointment apart from the staff who were efficient, charming, friendly and hard working: particularly George the son of the owner and the girl who inter alia managed the small shop. The mostly walled property consists of a series of converted farm buildings, which have a... More

Doesn't get any better than Trasierra. Most relaxing holiday you can go on, the people are wonderful and the surroundings are idyllic. The food is excellent, especially lunch, where they put on very fresh Spanish food. There is a help-yourself honesty bar with great rosé and before lunch and dinner they bring out olives and almonds and other small tapas-like... More

I have travelled all around the world looking for quiet places with the right energy to relax, rest and restore my energy levels. Trasierra location, facilities, food and second to none service makes you feel at home without much effort. The food quality and service is great. The bedrooms are superb.

The perfect place get away and relax, George and Charlotte are wonderful hosts and the hotel is stunning. Delicious food and great service. By far the nicest place we've stayed in in Andalucia, a must if you're planning a trip there!

Great out of the way place to unwind in beautiful surroundings-restored olive mill adjacent to national park. Lovely pool; great walking trails among olive and cork trees; excellent food and staff. Only negative was massage which took place on a stone floor.

We spent nearly a month in Spain and Portugal, using airbnb all the way, except for our one night at Trasierra. I work in the travel industry, and have had the pleasure of staying in some top notch accommodations, and this is one of my favorite places ever. But do yourself a favor and stay more than one night. The... More

This is a difficult review to write, as its a really unique place. First off, it is way off the beaten place, and far enough away, that it's not particularly easy to get to Sevilla. So be prepared to stay at the house and find things to do there. It's HOT in that region, so the pool and pool house... More

We stayed in Trasierra a couple of years ago and so enjoyed our few days there that we decided to use it as the wind-down at the start of our holiday this year. Trasierra is a wonderfully comfortable and welcoming place, offering lovely accommodation, superb dining and just as much or as little interaction as you choose. Unlike a hotel... More

Having travelled the world and stayed in some stunning hotels I did not know what to expect as we approached Trasierra across the stunning countryside. After a heavy week of travel and business I was wound up like a clock spring... until about 10 minutes after I arrived in this paradise. Trasierra is a home, and Charlotte and her family... More
