The Atrij Superior Hotel**** was inspired by the story of an apple - the fruit that maintains and restores youth, being the natural source of health and energy. The importance of the „red gold“, as apples are sometimes referred to, had been already recognised and accepted by our ancestors, which is testified by numerous orchards boasting with several decades' old branched apple trees. Thus, they are covered in luxurious white blossoms in spring, lush greenery in summer and juicy fruits in autumn, but in winter, they rest quietly covered in a soft blanket of powdery snow. The old apple trees that have succumbed to time and modern methods of farming are caught in the interior, the colour, warmth and vivaciousness of which promises them eternity. A look through the window reveals a green fairy tale which has been whispered about by the Pohorje forests for thousands of years. An oath to tradition does not represent a retreat from modern trends, which can be felt and experienced in cosy rooms and suites equipped with unique apple tree veneer and surrounded by fine fabrics and warm colours evoking a sense of domesticity and comfort.Enjoy moments of peace and relaxation in the Gala Suite with a Finnish sauna and a massage tub with a heated ceramic bed, the Gala Prestige Suite with a Finnish sauna, steam shower and a massage tub on the large outdoor terrace, and rooms with massage tubs and French balconies. For a totally unforgettable time off with your loved one, experience our „Svilene Sanje“ (Silk Dreams) or „Cvetlična Noč“ (Flower Night). The family rooms, which are connected to one another, are suitable especially for families. Spacious rooms, equipped in a sense of comfort, allow you to spend some quality time with your family.

I am giving this mark for a single reason - the restaurant sitting policy. During our first dining at the restaurant, there was a lady at the Restaurant reception desk at the entrance that showed us to the table that she picked up on her own (without discussing it with us). Although the restaurant was almost empty she has sit us near to other guests. Considering the COVID situation this was odd, as gloves and masks were mandatory. After a while we did not feel comfortable with the situation so we asked to change the table. Her reaction was everything but polite, as she insisted that she don't see the reason as we all have EU COVID certificates ?!! Two days later, during the breakfast the same person has literary sit down the other couple at our table. Imagine that. A table for 4, 2 couples that are not in any relationship with each other are sitting together. During the pandemic. Even regardless this specific situation, having a dinner/breakfast - so eating in general is kind of an intimate thing, that you enjoy with people you know. I have never been treated like this anywhere, and I have travelled a lot. This is a 4 star hotel, not a BB or hostel. I have chosen and paid for a room with personal sauna and hot tub in order to avoid contact with unknown people considering the specificity of my profession. At the end I have ended up having a breakfast with unknown people, sitting at the same table WITHOUT THE MASK with distance lest than 0.5 meters. Sad, but true.

If you want to stay relaxed choose this Hotel. It’s very comfortable; swimming pool internal and external, air conditioning in the room , near to supermarket. Everything it’s in the right position, it’s in the middle of a good restaurants and other place that you can visit. Staff are very gently and available. Attached the photos of external swimming pool and the view from 2nd floor.

We went for a four day ski&spa trip to Terme Zreče. We stayed at Hotel Atrij where we enjoyed spa, saunas and pools in the afternoon while we were out skiing on Rogla during the day. Room was spatious, clean and comfortable, the food was tasty and fresh and there was variety of dishes to choose from for every meal (there is an option to eat lunch on the slopes).

Typical style as I remember from the days gone by. Surly staff until you handed over a big tip which they didn't deserve. Rooms were ok. Beds were never made up other than re-arranging the duvet. Shower bracket was loose and it was never fixed. Breakfast was boring, same everyday, bread was mostly stale, toaster didn't work. Dinner was good apart from last day which was soso... They serve Kaiserschmarrn as hot pudding but no fruit, or sugar to eat with it. Next door Terme is a public pool and not only for hotel guests. Weekends it was standing room only.

Dear NomadicForever. Thank you for staying in our hotel. I am very sorry that we didn't reach the level of your expectation. Your comments on the overall experience have already been shared with all of the team and will take immediate actions in order to avoid similar situations. I am trully sad to read that and I do hope, that you would give us another chance to show you that this was just exception. Mateja Vidnar Stiplošek, Hotels and catering manager
