As Belinda Carlisle said, "ooh, Heaven is a place on Earth"... And she was right. Don't be put off by the ripe similes used by the previous reviewers: it is hard to resist purple prose and hyperbole in attempting to sum up the virtues of this splendid Italian retreat. If we were wearing any socks when we arrived ,they would...

An incredible week at Cassina Valloreci! The setting was exquisite, pastoral and peaceful with all of the simple ammenities as well as a lovely pool overlooking the Tuscan hills. A wonderful relaxing counterpoint placed between our vacation in hectic Rome and culture filled Firenze. Access to so many beautiful and historic places - hill towns in Tuscany and Umbria, lovely...

This year we spent our holiday in Tuscany. It was our first holiday without children so we looked for a quiet, traditional accommodation in the Tuscan countryside. What we saw on arrival was much more than we had expected. The beautiful surroundings, the stunning views, the secluded garden with swimmingpool and the traditional buildings. It was like heaven. Moreover, Angelo...

Cassina Valloreci was amazing! It was my second time in Tuscany and talk about a step in the right direction - the fig trees, olive groves, grape arbors, and we were there, in a traditional Tuscan country farm house, with the best hosts. The location is central to the villages, small and large. The setting is an agricultural eden. The...

We were very lucky to find Casina Valloreci at the last moment, through friends. The proprietors, Angelo and Umberto, have created a little paradise out of an old farm. Set amidst olive groves, the premises’ garden is full of flowers, fruit trees and cypresses, with stunning views over rolling hills and century-old hilltop villages. During the pitch dark starry nights,...

If you read our friend’s review of Casina Valloreci, I’m the one who burst into tears. It is almost impossible to put into words how idyllic Casina Valloreci is – everything about our stay there exceeded my wildest dreams – and I had dreamed of going to Tuscany for a long time! Every direction you look is a picture-perfect view...

My wife and I spent a week at Casina Valloreci with one of our closest friends. We had hustled and bustled through Rome and Florence and soon were headed to Cinque Terre and Milan. The week in at Casina Valloreci was definitely the highlight of the places we stayed and offered a very necessary respite from the rest of our...

Linda and I spent one week of our four week vacation in Italy at Casina Valloreci and it was the highlight of our trip! Angelo opened his property to us as if we were long lost friends and directed us to the finest sights, restaurants, and local wineries--even lending us gallon jugs so we could fill them at the local...

My husband and I stayed at Casina Valloreci for five nights, following a group tour to Florence, the Cinque Terre, Lucca, Volterra and Rome. The tour was great, and we needed a restful home base to continue our exploration of Tuscan hill towns. From the first email contact with the owner, Angelo, we knew it was the place for us....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The first time I fell in love with this place was several years ago while watching the movie, "The English Patient." I loved these forests, cypress trees and valleys. I was impressed in particular by the Abbey where the movie was filmed, at Sant'Anna in Camprena. And now this movie is repeated for me every night, and every night is always more beautiful. I would like to share these feelings with you. ... more   less
