I was attending a photo workshop for a week in Cortona and then ventured eastward, first to Montepulciano for a couple nights, then to Terrapille for a two night stay. I had driven by this beautiful farm the year before and was determined to stay. My host Lucia was very kind, hospitable. She prepared a healthy breakfast and delicious cappuccinos.... More

This was my first trip to Southern Tuscany and my sweetheart's third...I hadn't stayed in an agriturismo and didn't know what to expect. Staying on a "working farm" --I had no idea if I'd like it for five days. My experience was wonderful! Our room was spacious with a very comfortable and firm king bed and most amenities offered in... Our stay at Terrapile in Pienza was the highlight our month long trip through Tuscany. We stayed in Moggiaglie for one night and then stayed at Terrapille for three nights. The properties are very close to eachother. Our Room at Terrapille was lovely: bedroom, bath and sitting room. Open the shutters on one side of the room and you see... More

After traveling to Tuscany on 8 trips I finally found THE place for the perfect Tuscany experience!!! We've stayed in Castellina, Montalcino, Montepulciano, Pitigliano, but I've longed for the perfect place with the scenery that is quintessential Tuscany. This is it folks!!!! Terrapille is a restored ancient building sitting atop a hill with a 360 degree view of the greatest... More

The only thing that could make this place more perfect is a jacuzze next to the pool to soak in after a day of exploring. This place is not for the yuppie crowd, but if you want to enjoy an absolutely stunning view in a modest but but very nicely done working farm. Then this is your place. Lucia is... More

Very clean, and professional. The family that lives there is delightful. Not very geared towards small children. The pool was beautiful but stays cold during the day. Close to the town of Pienza great for shopping and restaurants.

There are few places that have such a stunning backdrop, from the rolling golden hills to the picturesque village of pienza on the hilltop. It's just utterly breathtaking. However points of interest to be considered: Rooms are large and homely, although with no air conditioning, the nights can be very long!! (there is a fan in the room but it... More

Several amenities that were in the Rick book (e.g. olive grove, vineyard) were no longer there. While the buildings themsevles were luxe-rustic, the overall experience was a bit sterile. This was our first trup to Italy; during our tours, we ran into other agriturismos (wine tasting, restaurant) that were much more feature-rich ang guest-centric.

Terrapille was truly beautiful and the view of Pienza and the countryside is spectacular. We expected it to be a little more bustling with activity and other people in the dining room etc. otherwise we would have booked our own villa. The place was really quiet and we had to call once we got there and wait a half hour... More

If you tour Tuscany, definitely stay in an agritourismo - preferably this one! It is located just outside Pienza. a beautiful medieval town, busy with tourists by day, and yours to enjoy with the locals by night. It is ideally situated within striking distance of Tuscany's hill towns, about halfway between Montalcino and Montepulciano. The B&B is modern and clean,... More
