Being from the wine area of California, we wanted to understand the Chianti region. But not from the perspective of the big producers. We didn't want to hop from winery to winery. We wanted to understand why Chianti is different, how the wines are made, and get to know the people who passionately produce these amazing wines. And we wanted...

My wife and I visited Italy in November 2016 with 2 other couples. We are all very fond of good wine. We selected this tour based on a recommendation and we are extremely happy we went. Weather you know very little about wine or you are very knowledgeable this tour is for you. Besides the delicious food provided the experience...

After having a bottle of the Terre Di Bracciatica at a local restaurant, we stopped by Podere dell'Anselmo to see if any bottles were available for sale. While Anthony was looking for available wines, he asked if we had time. Well, we were on vacation and not in a rush. He then proceeded to provide an impromptu wine tour. Anthony's...

Visited on a wine tour. Anthony was so informative, he really made the experience. Wine was outstanding. Food was outstanding. The whole thing was incredibly memorable, and we're looking forward to taking a vacation and staying at the B&B in the future.

Stopped here on a wine tour and cannot believe how great everything was. The hosts and employees were incredible, welcoming, and as friendly as ever. The views cannot be beat, and the wine is some of the best I've ever had. If you don't stop here on your next trip to Tuscany, you're missing out!

We visited during a wine tour. The wine was fabulous and our tour guide and the owner of the vineyard gave us a very informative tour. We learned about the making of wine and olive oil. We used grape tours. We had a delicious lunch. I want to return and stay for a few days!

Not easy to find and even more difficult to access through the unpaved narrow roads. Once you get there you can enjoy the beautiful countryside, the vineyards around and especially the lovely hosts and the hospitality of the owner, Fabrizio, and his team - and in particular Valentina's enthusiasm to be of help.

This is a little gem nestled in the wonderful Tuscan countryside. Fabrizio is the charismatic owner surrounded by a great team notably Valentina. The food is fresh, moorish and coupled with the bio-dynamic wine it's a sure winner. The sweeping countryside and reasonably short drive to Pisa airport is a major attraction. If you want to switch off, have a...

Fabulous stay with all you need and expect from the pictures, wonderful location and food. Valentina and Patricia are lovely hosts and are the biggest reason for this rating, the owners unfortunately are less approachable.

This place is stunning upon arrival. We were lucky enough to have our tour guide, Anthony Freveletti, know the owner and winemaker, Fabrizio Forconi personally so we had the best treatment. First off, you are surrounded by rolling hills of vineyards and you are instantly transformed into the most relaxing tranquility. We had dinner with the other guests staying there...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The "PODERE DELL'ANSELMO" is a family run wine and horse resort situated in the midst of the magnificent Tuscan countryside. Here, rows of cypress crown the ridges of the surrounding hills, where ancient castles look out over the renewed vineyards around Montespertoli. The Villa The private villa has recently been restored respecting its old-world charm, but adding modern comforts. Set on a working vineyard, the property is surrounded by rolling green Tuscan hills in the heart of Montespertoli. The Forconi family has operated its vineyards since the 19th century, specializing in the Chianti "Podere dell'Anselmo" wine. The produced wines are long-lived and are examples of the best in the Chianti wine region, thanks to the family's knowledge and expertise. Tradition and old family customs merge with modern winemaking technologies, to yield nearly 50,000 bottles a year. These are distributed with the authentic "Podere dell'Anselmo" label. The prize-winning Tuscan Red wine "PAX" from Podere dell'Anselmo boasts the Gold Medal, awarded at Mundus Vini in 2014 and several award in all around the world.
