We had a great holiday week in L'Incrociata. Beautiful place, great pool, very cool inside the building (apartment Arco) and besides us only two other apartments rented out. Great place when you want to relax. Everywhere around there are hills with trees and wildlife in abundance: lizards, butterflies and we even saw deer and a pheasant. The apartment is nice and spacious, the bathroom could have been better cleaned. You can park the car nicely under a roof. The road to the complex is a few hundred metres through sand. The closest village Ambra, where you can buy all necessary things, is a few kilometres away.
I can't speak highly enough about this villa! It far surpassed our expectations when we stayed there in august 2016. About 1.5-2 hours drive from Pisa airport (hire a car - its worth it). Very easy to find with the use of satnav. We stayed in the Mirabelle villa which is separate to the main building. It has a large garden which is enclosed by fences and gates. The pool section is fenced off as well. In the house there is a living room as you enter with a dining room leading to a small kitchen. The kitchen has a dishwasher and fridge freezer. Past the living room the other way, there is a twin bedroom and bathroom. Below this level is the basement. On one side is where they keep the washing machine. On the other side is a double bedroom. Onto the upper level of the villa is a large double room and another twin room. There is another bathroom on this level. Good points - great sized pool, fantastic views, close by to restaurants and shops. Bad points - hard to say really. We got a few bites from bugs around the pool area, so bring lots of repellent. Lots of people commenting about the dogs barking through the night. I am a very light sleeper and heard them during the night, but I was the only one. Bearing in mind that I was also the only one who woke up to hear earthquakes in the distance! Recommended local places - train station in Bucine (less than 10 mins drive). Use this if you want a direct train to Florence. Do NOT drive in Florence! You are about a 40 min drive from Siena - very easy to find and good parking. Large market on a Tuesday. Very good resteraunts. We visited Siena twice. Resteraunt in Ambra (5 mins drive from villa) called Alla Corte Di Bacco. You need to book as they are highly popular. They speak good English. Food is amazing and well priced. Very bohemian little place.…
We've spent a week at Villa Miravalle back in 2013. It's a great place for family vacation - we've tried excellent local wine, great Tuscany food and even baked our own pizza in the pizza oven. Kids enjoyed the pool and adults had an excellent chance to relax. I can really recommend this place, I think the best recommendation is a fact that this year we're coming back to Agriturismo Incrociata.
We do enjoyed spending our holidays in Agriturismo Incrociata as it offered us both a beautiful location for relaxing moments in the green, and a central connection for visiting cities like Florence, Siena, Cortona and the tuscany countryside. The building is a group of old farmhouses very comfortable and properly furnished with tipical tuscnay furniture and cosy paintings. Everything is surrounded by a green enviroment with a beautiful swimmingpool looking on the valley. The wine selection is excellent, coming directly from the surrounding vineyard properties of the Agriturismo's owner. So, I do strongly suggest Agriturismo Incrociata!!
We stayed here in for 4 nights and had a wonderful time, we didn't want to move on to our next destination. The apartment we had was clean and contained everything we could possibly need. Sitting on the porch after a day of sightseeing and relaxing with a glass of wine and only hearing nature and the laughter of my daughter was bliss. We used this as our base and did day trips to the cities nearby which worked so well for us. We made great use of the pool, swing set, hammock and foosball table. I highly recommend this place and would be happy to return anytime with my family.
Stayed in Cantina for seven nights and we're not disappointed. The room/apartment was very clean and well maintained. Good size master, decent size second for children, but great for two. Good size bathroom, simple kitchen with two burners and bar size fridge. Generous size dinning room table. No bb-q on site as advertised, however char coal grill area available. (Bring your own charcoal!!). Amazing pool area, lots of loungers. Nestled in the hills of tuscany. A local hunting kennel is nearby and at times we could hear the dogs barking, but closing the windows at night silenced it well. That being said, there seems to be a lot of barking dogs in Tuscany. This particular unit (Cantina) had what we felt was the most private patio, most light given it's end unit and closest to the pool if this is what you are looking for. Patio sits six comfortably. If you are coming here to cook, bring what you feel you need to do so I.e. Salt/pepper and specialized cooking items. The dishes and cookware are adequate and there is fresh herbs, rosemary, basil and sage growing everywhere! Sad to be leaving on our last day, we truly enjoyed it. …
With my family we had a holiday break this August in Tuscany. The place we chose, Agriturismo Incrociata turned out to be great. The management description on website and photos provided by the owners fully reflects the charm of the place. The apartments are very comfortable and nicely decorated. We chose the apartment Capanna to be a little bit out of the way of the others. It was very nicely furnished with all household equipment needed. Moreover we had a table available outside under the huge pergola and a piece of lawn with two sun loungers on our exclusive use. Swimming pool was just great and allowed to relax on hot summer days. Within this small property is also a barbecue and recreation area. Everything is kept on a very high level, well maintained, is very clean and nice. You can buy wine from the owners if you like, really nice one. You also receive a complimentary wine bottle upon your arrival. Other services – you can also find a laundry and for 2.50 euros you can use it if you want, this is an advantage especially while you travel with children . This place is in a close distant to nearest small towns plus only 30km drive from Sienna. Owner , Gianluca and his wife Laura are very helpful and charming. We fully recommend this place for your holidays, and we hope that maybe some day we will be back …
Agriturismo Icrociata was the perfect location for our family holiday. There were ten of us (coming from Munich, Malta, Seattle and Portland) meeting here for our family vacation. The location was ideal, easy to reach the top Tuscan sites, the grounds were impeccably maintained and our apartments (we rented 4 of the six in the main house) were well equipped and comfortable. Gianluca and his staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back and recommend this holiday home to our friends!
This agriturismo was the best part of our trip around Tuscany. The accomodation is very comfortable. The territory has everything you need for peaceful vacation: relax zone, barbeque stuff, space for children's and adults' leisure and swimming pool.
We stayed at Easter and the place was musty, dirty and well covered with dead insects. It would seem that it hadn't been attended to since the last visitors were there in autumn 2012 . We were not being charged bargain rates and the Miaravalle house is too close to a busy country road which has speeding cars all night and prostitutes touting for business by day. The Internet description is not accurate in that the photos are not representative nor are the facilities described fully available,(wifi). A short search of the area will yield more charming properties at better prices.
