My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights, using it as a base to visit Paestum. The hotel is situated right on the water at the marina and we were so comfortable here in our room, San Francesco, up in the roof space of the hotel. Our room was very clean and well appointed with modern fittings and had good wifi connection. Good quality linen and products were provided. Each morning we awoke to a beautiful view of the marina. All staff were pleasand and helpful and car parking was provided for 10 Euro for our stay. The Italian breakfast was plentiful and served in their restaurant overlooking the water. We had one meal at the restaurant and the fresh seafood was great.

Staff were lovely, rooms were spotless and tasteful, restaurant was great - it's a really great base for a week's holiday. My Mum can't go up and down steps and this was one of the few beach side hotels that was genuinely step free all the way down to the water. Unfortunately she fell ill at the second half of the holiday and the staff were great, cooking and bringing up special meals etc. Just a couple of points - we went in September and while it was lovely and warm (26C) the autumn storms had washed great piles of rotting seaweed into the bay so it wasn't ideal to swim. They did regularly rake the private beach though. Also - as I said the hotel was ideal for those with mobility difficulties - but the town itself is very steep and full of uneven roads and steps.

We used Palazzo Dogana as our base for a week to explore the entire area. And the perfect base it was. The hotel is centrally located on a small but nice beach. Francesco and Toni are the perfect hosts, and really go our of their way to make sure all is well for you. Wi Fi is great around the hotel and in the rooms. The rooms are spacious and beds comfy. Breakfast had a nice assortment and the coffee was free flowing!! All in all we had a great time here and definitely would return when we come back to Agropoli. Highly recommended!!

I live in Rome and was looking for a weekend break somewhere not too far. Having been to Tuscany many times I decided to go south to Cilento. Agropoli was the closest town so looking at hotels in the area I found the Palazzo Dogana. It's every bit as inviting as the photos and reviews on tripadvisor. The bedroom was spacious and very clean, the breakfast was plentiful, the personnel courteous and helpful. If you are coming by car, you will be given a parking permit for the duration of your stay so you won't have to pay on-street parking. You will also have access to the private beach with parasols (ombrelloni) and chairs (lettini) at no extra charge. The beach is really pretty and the sea is clean, despite it being right next to the port. If you don't feel like dining at the hotel restaurant there are plenty of options in just a few hundred yards distance. I highly recommend this hotel!

One of the best hotels I have been staying during my Italy's traveling.Location is excellent - right on the sea, it has it's own private beach and besides - the very impressive cliff with old Castle on the top along with the Church Santa Maria dei Constantinopoli - the savoir of sailors and fishermen of the little gem - Agropoli. Bell's sound from that church is coming every hour and this is magnificent! The Palazzo itself is beautiful, the room is spacey, about 20 sq m, clean and very charming. Especially to mention about Manager Tony. He was so helpful, his suggestions for restaurants, for places of interest were excellent, his kindness and attitude to my family were absolutely great. Also to mention Alessandra, the server in the breakfast room, she was so helpful with any our request. Breakfast by the way was incredible - very very good. Thanks very much Alessandra and Tony to make our stay in Palazzo Dogana so marvelous!
