Brilliant place to stay. Geraldine and Edward were more than helpful. The breakfast was also brilliant. Staff attentive but not over the top. I would really recommend a stay here. Enjoyed a lovely walk into town and around other ruins clsoe by.
My family and I stayed in December 2019 and had a wonderful time . The proprietor was fabulous and made us an early breakfast as we had early flights the next day. The room were so clean and gorgeously appointed. It felt very luxurious. Highly recommend .
Being terrified of the thought of driving on the left side of the road and being discouraged by the high hotel prices in Dublin, we chose Highfield House in Trim, County Meath. Access to Dublin was easy via the hourly bus line 111 which picks up just across the river from the B&B. The room and public spaces were clean and gave the impression of staying in a museum. The cooked breakfast was delicious. Yes, we would stay here again. Restaurants and pubs were within easy walking distance.
A hidden treasure with amazing views and beautiful original features and a fantastic host. Old world charm with all the modern conveniences you could possibly need. Breakfast was beautiful and freshly cooked and the selection on offer was second to none. Would highly recommend a stay here
This was a very good choice in terms of food, rooms and proximity to the town of Trim. The owners are also very accommodating people who gave us a variety of useful information; definitely a great place to stay when you are in Trim.
