We were able to accommodate 5 family members on a short notice. Mary was waiting and welcoming us upon our arrival. The rooms and individual bathrooms were clean. They had wifi and cable television. The Irish breakfast was plentiful and satisfying for a full day outing. We highly recommend!

We arrived late on a Sunday evening and were able to get a room despite not having booked. Lovely room although we had a few problems with the television. Lovely breakfast and a very hospitable host. Enjoyed our stay very much.

Only stayed one night, but a very positive experience. When we arrived, my husband asked Marie about getting tea later. She said she would be happy to make tea for anyone, day or night - and she meant it. Excellent breakfast. The room we stayed in on the first floor was the most spacious we had seen - tons of... We stayed two nights at Birchwood B & B. Our room was large with a double and single bed, and the bathroom also very large. It was chilly when we arrived, but hostess Mare turned the heat on. She also offered us tea in the lounge/dining room and it was served with toasted raising bread and chocolate-covered cookies. Breakfast here... More

Birchwood is a lovely home, situated on high gound with an excellent view of the surrounding country side. Our rooms were quiet, and comfortable, with everything that we needed. Marie, the hostess, was great, served us tea on arrival, and really made us feel at home. There was a good choice for breakfast, freshly cooked to order. It was lovely... More

We had a good timing chatting with our hosts about everything from cabbages to kings. You can see Tara from the dining room. Breakfast was good, our room was good. Close to town of kells which has some interesting and historic sights. Hope to go back.

During my last stay at Kells, I stayed for two nights at Birchwood B&B. It is located on the outskirts of Kells, and because Birchwood is on it's own grounds, I had no problem with parking. The hostess, Marie, greeted me at the door, then invited me to have a cup of tea. After a friendly chat, I was shown... More

Excellent location, only a few minutes from town, with comfortable room. Our host was very welcoming and friendly. There were no tea or coffee facilities in the room, but they were still available in the kitchen. Sara

It's hard to fault any aspect of Birchodd B&B. Breakast was first class with great selection. on arrival nothing was too much trouble, and Marie, our hostess, was very friendly. Birchwood is located just five minutes from Kells. The clanliness of the rooms, etc. were all spot on. We requested extra toileteries and they arrived in minutes. The breakfast offered... More
