We went there for an early spring bike ride. Great place for that. Hotel locatin is superb, We really enjoyd our room being far from the hotel reception and traffic. This could be a problem for some guests less capable for long walks or luggage carrying. Hotel provided help with checkin luggage transport and provides two wheel carts for guests to use. Internet and parking charge in my opinion a little too expensive, Free WIFI is a standard today.
Great holiday here. We visited off peak (October) so the outdoor pools were closed and drained, but the indoor pool was great and quiet probably due to the season. No issue with children using the indoor pool, however they can't use jacuzzi etc under 12, as you might expect. Changing facilities by the pool are clean and smart with good showers but they are small. You can get towels from the hotel but need a 'towel card' from reception which you swap for a towel in the pool area. It's all free and you then return the card on check out (or are charged if you don't) The horses were lovely and both kids enjoyed a ride for a very reasonable price. No helmets (😬 )... All was ok thankfully. The animals about the place added to the charm. Friendly dogs, cats and a donkey. Kids enjoyed naming them all! Not too many cats and they are friendly and well looked after. The apartments are very clean and the beds were comfy. The bathrooms especially needing updated - they were basic and tired. However all the hot water you need and our apartment had a bath which was great for the kids. Food is on offer and we had breakfast and dinner once while there, and enjoyed a pizza in the downstairs bar one evening - they do very inexpensive pizza in the bar Monday - Friday, bar opens around 6. You can play skittles in the bar but only for 8 year olds and over ...not sure why and this caused some disappointment the younger members of our party. There is a small shop on site which has most of the basics at a good price (no rip off!) including fresh rolls and pastries. The resort is really close to Heviz - basically meters away and walkable, but the path isn't great. We couldn't do it with the buggy. I'm not sure if there is a buggy-friendly path but if there is we didn't find it. So it was in the car for us, and it's a 2 min drive to Heviz Thermal Lake and about the same to the shopping area be and there is ample parking at both. Loved the thermal lake - don't miss it of you stay here. I can't think of much else to say other than we really enjoyed this break. Hungarians are welcoming to children - we were often helped or brought to the front of queues etc. which was lovely. Thoroughly recommend Hungary and lake Balaton and this is a great location from which to explore.…
since over ten years we feel in dobogomajor and in heviz like home. the always helpfull and friendly staff in the reception is number one of all 35 resorts we know. thank you ! we will come back two times every year.
Perfect place to relax. The resort also offers various services and experience opportunities (tennis, horseback riding, wellness). The wider surroundings of the resort also offer plenty of opportunities for excursions (Lake Balaton, Lake Hévíz, Badacsony, Kehida) The living units are spacious and comfortable. The equipment is simple and practical. The staff is kind and service ready. The restaurant is excellent, although they are waiting for guests with a narrowed menu now due to the weaker season. It should be noted that the resort is truly absolutely pet friendly, full of cats. Anyone who is allergic to cat hair can meet a cat anywhere. There are height differences in the area of the resort, those with limited mobility will have difficulty moving.
fabulous place to relax and rejuvenate your soul. There are wonderful areas to explore and the food is fabulous. There is a lake to swim in as well as an indoor and outdoor pool. The beds were comfortable and the place was very clean. The kitchen had all the cooking necessities and the grocery store on site had fresh food and alcohol for purchase. A car was not needed because this resort offered trips to Budapest and surrounding areas.
The club is an average club with good location near Balaton lake, a little old fashion, mattresses are too soft and sometime not convenient, breakfast looks simple and basic, a grocery store open 7-14 with limited food beer wine bread some veggies and milk products. The first apartment we got wasn’t convenient on two floors with scary stairs so we switched and had to pay a little extra, why? The team have only basic English even less.... but are polite and nice. Only basic cleaning in one week. Must improve
Great area to stay. Visit the thermal lake and it was easy to travel from Budapest to Cserszegtomaj via car. Spent a one day trip to Austria. Low season and little tourist which was nice. The food and wine was wonderful. Prices were reasonable.
Nice grounds surrounded by nature, swimming pool, wellness. Nice strolls just on the grounds, horse stables and balloon flights in the background, For people who enjoy walking a nice 1,5 km walk to the thermal lake Heviz.
My family was satisfy, it was very pleasant for us. We were on termal bath on village Hévíz ve were on bike tour arrond lake Balaton, and ve have joly good time, the wine in this region is very good. The peploe were friendly.
Can recommend for families with children. The apartmants are well equiped, however we had some serious problem with tidiness. The meals including the breakfast and the dinner is more then delicious with wide range of variety. The wellness can be fan for 1-2 hours in case of rain for example, but ita quite small so do not count much time on it. The workers are nice and helpful.
