The Best place to stay on Thassos Island and Skala Potamia! If you are looking for a ideal place, Porto Thassos is the one and only choice. Owned by a family of great, more than friendly and always helpful people. Stavros and his parents are so kind, so warm and so lovely, you will regret to leave home after the stay with them. They will treat you not like a regular customer but almost as a member of a great Greek family! And this is something priceless, something you will not get elsewhere. Something you can’t buy with money! Great people, great friends and we wish them all the best! Thank you so much for a great time we spent together
The studios are freshly renovated, equipped with everything you need in a very good interior design we loved from the first sight. Ideal and so comfy place to stay even when there is bad weather outside. Kitchen annex and bathroom have everything you need.
Another thing you will love from the first moment of being at Porto Thassos is how clean it is during the whole stay. The studios are cleaned every day, you do not need to ask for fresh towels or bed linen, it is always changed for fresh ones!
All above make your stay so comfortable so you feel like in 5 star hotel. Really. When it comes to price value - Porto Thassos is worth every single euro spent there. Book a holiday with them and enjoy the highest level of comfort.
Stavros – the manager is always there to help you, give all the information you need. Professional and very friendly at the same time.
The Porto Thassos building has a very good location, minutes from a beach and walking distance to town main attractions. Shops, cafes and restaurants in the closest area. If you have a car they offer you a free parking place which has many trees so your car is protected from the sun.
So if you are looking for a studio or apartment to rent, do not go elsewhere, do not hesitate – you will not find anything better, book Porto Thassos and fell the real Greek hospitality and highest service possible. We are already planning to visit Porto Thassos again with our friends next summer!

I had 8 nights of accommodation in the building closer to the beach (about 50 meters to the beach).
The beach was one of the strong points with fine sand, crystal clear water and an smooth entry into the water (40-50 meters and the water reached the neck).
The exemplary cleanliness contributed to the feeling of relaxation and safety.
The room is big enough for 3 people and equipped with everything you need to quickly prepare breakfast.
We really enjoyed serving breakfast on the terrace overlooking the mountain and partly the sea.
Also, on two mornings I admired the sunrise directly from the balcony... an experience I recommend!
Hotel staff very kind and understanding.
We liked it so much that we forgot when we had to leave 😃.
I recommend this hotel with confidence!
Also worth mentioning is the interaction with Stavros who provided us with useful information whenever we needed it

This is our second year at Porto Thassos. Last year we booked a studio for 9 days and we enjoyed it very much. The stuff (Mr. Stavros and his family) did their best to make us feel like home.
So this year we booked an apartament for 13 days. The apartaments are more spacious than the studios and they have a big balcony and fully equipped kitchen. The room is being cleaned every day and if you need, you can use the laundry service.
The studios and the apartaments are separate buildings. Each building has a small playground and a barbeque area. There is also enough place for the kids to play "hide and seek" or to play with the ball under the olive trees. You can also use one of the bikes because there are plenty of them, for the guests to use them for free.
Our hosts were as friendly as usual, they grilled some tasty fish for us and I can say that it was the most delicios fish I have ever eaten in Thassos. Mr. Stavros recommended us the best tavernas on the island and the most spectacular beaches.
We will definitely return ar Porto Thassos.

We stayed at Porto Thassos in a studio for 10 nights during August. It was an awesome experience. Stavros and his family are amazing people, we felt really welcome and it was clear throughout our stay that they truly enjoy what they do and want to offer the best services possible for their guests.
The location is great, the rooms look really good and have plenty of space. They're cleaned daily, each time we came back to our room we found it to be in perfect condition.
Golden Beach is a couple of minutes walk away and you have everything you're going to need within walking distance from the location. There are also bikes available that you can use whenever you want.
Stavros was an amazing host, he recommended a lot of beautiful places that we could visit on the island and was always there to help us whenever we had any questions.
It was an amazing experience and we will definitely come back when we decide to visit Thasos again.

We stayed in a superior Studio.
The room was perfect, cozy, big ,we had everything we needed. The location is very close to the beach, the staff was very friendly, helpful and welcoming, we recieved fresh fruits constantly.
I would totally recomand this place.

We rented an apartment at Porto Thassos complex for about a month and a half. Impression from this place is wonderful. First of all, the apartment is very clean, which is extremely important, because we stayed with a small kid. All furnitures, dishes, electric equipment, sanitary engineering is new, modern and working very well. The apartment is equipped with all important things, so that during a long stay we did not need anything. It is well seen, that the owners care about guests’ comfort. There is a very nice green area in front of the house with a Barbecue zone and olive trees. It is situated not far from the best part of the golden beach with clean and soft sand . Also the owners are very nice and pleasant people, who cared about us and were always eager to help us with our questions, some of which were even not related to our accommodation.

My friends and I stay here every year. The apartment is well appointed. It has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen with a full size fridge and a huge terrace. I love the fact that the bathroom has a shower cabin with glass doors, which is quite rare in Greece. Most showers have flimsy plastic curtains or none at all.
The beach is about 200 metres away and you have many restaurants and taverns within walking distance.
Stavros and his parents, Voula and Nikos, are wonderful hosts who make you feel at home right away. This why we kept coming to their hotel year after year.

This is the most comfort apartment I've ever been in Greece! On a good location - 2 minutes walk from the Golden beach, in a very quite part od Skala Potamia, perfectly clean, very cosy and well-equipped studio, with the great terrace, made to enjoy the sunrise as well the sunset time. Much more, our hosts, Stavros and his whole smiling family, made our vacation very pleasant and relaxed, providing us with everything we needed (clean towels daily, all info about island, beaches, restaurants, fruits and home made cookies, etc.). Perfect stay, perfect memories. All recommendations for this lovely place, where we will come back again!

We have spent 2 weeks in this superb apartment hotel. A family with 2 teenagers, in an apartment with 2 bedrooms and one living room with 2 bathrooms. Everything was perfect: it is quite, very close to the beach (3 min by foot), cleaning was done daily basis, ari cond solution is very silent (needed only for 3 nights, but you do not even hear it), close to Skala Potamia, very close to 2 supermarkets and several good restaurants (we loved going to Captain Fish Tavern). Plenty of space for parking. I would definitely recommend it, we will for sure return.

We stayed for two weeks in September 2022 and we had a wonderful time at the apartments. Since we were a rather big group with kids we were interested in making our own program and we usually synchronised over whatsapp or at night when we gathered to grill some local fish (two grills available, lots of memories there)
The apartments are cleaned every day so everything is spotless, they are furnished with taste and are positioned at about 100m from the beach. In the early morning a salesman drives trough the neighbourhood selling fresh fish directly from his car.
The balcony is very big, making it a great place to play boardgames with your friends, or simply enter the daily meeting when you work remotely (I tell you, the look on your colleagues will be priceless when you'll enter the meeting and peak Ypsarion casually shows in the background, or if you're at the studios near the beach and the sea dances in the background :-p )
The apartments have a Ping-Pong table that you can use free of charge and you can also lend (also free of charge) some bikes that the hosts have to travel around. They are not premium, but they're good enough if you wan't to arrive quickly to some shop that's further.
The hosts are very sweet people that try to make your stay as nice as possible so don't be surprised to find fresh figs in your room because their tree had some that are ripe and ready to be picked, or to be welcomed with some sweets that Stavros's mom has just pulled out of the oven.
The parking space is just in front of the apartments where there are a couple of olive trees lending their shade to keep your car cool during the day, making it the nicest parking space I have ever seen. (I've seen one similar at Marble Beach two years ago, absolute beauty)
The beach is very close and there are plenty of restaurants there, you must try Taverna Akrogiali or Captain Fish (although this year it was closed and it's not very clear if it will be reopened next season, the owner got covid and it was not in a good shape). Also, the island has plenty of attractions scattered around that can brighten your day when simply swimming and sunbathing are not enough anymore. (The Sotirelis olive oil museum in Panagia, also I definitely recommend Giola for example, but lend an ATV for that)
I think there are about 4 or 5 shops in the neighbourhood, even more if you're willing to walk more than 10 minutes. (Cheapest beer is at Arista ;-) )
