We lived in a two-room apartment as a family for 10 days at the end of September-beginning of October 2022. I liked it very much. Clean, comfortable, has everything you need. Great big terrace. We stayed for two weeks in September 2022 and we had a wonderful time at the apartments. Since we were a rather big group with kids we were interested in making our own program and we usually synchronised over whatsapp or at night when we gathered to grill some local fish (two grills available, lots of memories there) The apartments are cleaned every day so everything is spotless, they are furnished with taste and are positioned at about 100m from the beach. In the early morning a salesman drives trough the neighbourhood selling fresh fish directly from his car. The balcony is very big, making it a great place to play boardgames with your friends, or simply enter the daily meeting when you work remotely (I tell you, the look on your colleagues will be priceless when you'll enter the meeting and peak Ypsarion casually shows in the background, or if you're at the studios near the beach and the sea dances in the background :-p ) The apartments have a Ping-Pong table that you can use free of charge and you can also lend (also free of charge) some bikes that the hosts have to travel around. They are not premium, but they're good enough if you wan't to arrive quickly to some shop that's further. The hosts are very sweet people that try to make your stay as nice as possible so don't be surprised to find fresh figs in your room because their tree had some that are ripe and ready to be picked, or to be welcomed with some sweets that Stavros's mom has just pulled out of the oven. The parking space is just in front of the apartments where there are a couple of olive trees lending their shade to keep your car cool during the day, making it the nicest parking space I have ever seen. (I've seen one similar at Marble Beach two years ago, absolute beauty) The beach is very close and there are plenty of restaurants there, you must try Taverna Akrogiali or Captain Fish (although this year it was closed and it's not very clear if it will be reopened next season, the owner got covid and it was not in a good shape). Also, the island has plenty of attractions scattered around that can brighten your day when simply swimming and sunbathing are not enough anymore. (The Sotirelis olive oil museum in Panagia, also I definitely recommend Giola for example, but lend an ATV for that) I think there are about 4 or 5 shops in the neighbourhood, even more if you're willing to walk more than 10 minutes. (Cheapest beer is at Arista ;-) )…

The Best place to stay on Thassos Island and Skala Potamia! If you are looking for a ideal place, Porto Thassos is the one and only choice. Owned by a family of great, more than friendly and always helpful people. Stavros and his parents are so kind, so warm and so lovely, you will regret to leave home after the stay with them. They will treat you not like a regular customer but almost as a member of a great Greek family! And this is something priceless, something you will not get elsewhere. Something you can’t buy with money! Great people, great friends and we wish them all the best! Thank you so much for a great time we spent together The studios are freshly renovated, equipped with everything you need in a very good interior design we loved from the first sight. Ideal and so comfy place to stay even when there is bad weather outside. Kitchen annex and bathroom have everything you need. Another thing you will love from the first moment of being at Porto Thassos is how clean it is during the whole stay. The studios are cleaned every day, you do not need to ask for fresh towels or bed linen, it is always changed for fresh ones! All above make your stay so comfortable so you feel like in 5 star hotel. Really. When it comes to price value - Porto Thassos is worth every single euro spent there. Book a holiday with them and enjoy the highest level of comfort. Stavros – the manager is always there to help you, give all the information you need. Professional and very friendly at the same time. The Porto Thassos building has a very good location, minutes from a beach and walking distance to town main attractions. Shops, cafes and restaurants in the closest area. If you have a car they offer you a free parking place which has many trees so your car is protected from the sun. So if you are looking for a studio or apartment to rent, do not go elsewhere, do not hesitate – you will not find anything better, book Porto Thassos and fell the real Greek hospitality and highest service possible. We are already planning to visit Porto Thassos again with our friends next summer!…

The apartments are clean and fully equipped, all you need. I think the best part of it is the balcony which is really huge and is more of a terrace than balcony from which you can take in the fresh sea air and watch the greenery and the mountains and hear the sea(at night). The service is very good. The host is great, laid-back, friendly, helpful and warm.Very welcoming. Lovely people, a pleasure to be around.

Simply amazing. The villas give you everything you need: cozy and comfortable beds, a fully equipped kitchen, and a beautiful large terrace. Villas are close to the beach, about 200m walking distance. Close to the supermarkets and tavernas, also within walking distance. Stavros, the guest is one amazing guy, very friendly and kind (we love you, Stavros). If you ever need a place to stay in Skala Potamias ( Golden Beach), you must choose Porto Thassos Apartments.

A group of friends rented several apartments and studios at Porto Thassos. My friends made our reservations directly with the hotel in order to get the best rates. The hotel is comprised of 3 buildings, we rented in all 3. The apartments were very clean - kudos to the housekeeper who did an excellent job every day. The location is perfect - close to the beach and restaurants. Plenty of parking space under the olive trees.

We stayed at Porto Thassos in a studio for 10 nights during August. It was an awesome experience. Stavros and his family are amazing people, we felt really welcome and it was clear throughout our stay that they truly enjoy what they do and want to offer the best services possible for their guests. The location is great, the rooms look really good and have plenty of space. They're cleaned daily, each time we came back to our room we found it to be in perfect condition. Golden Beach is a couple of minutes walk away and you have everything you're going to need within walking distance from the location. There are also bikes available that you can use whenever you want. Stavros was an amazing host, he recommended a lot of beautiful places that we could visit on the island and was always there to help us whenever we had any questions. It was an amazing experience and we will definitely come back when we decide to visit Thasos again.…

I booked and stayed at Porto Thassos for two consecutive years. My family and I were impressed by the cleanliness of the location and the rooms. The rooms are furnished with good taste. I enjoyed an amazing vacation on Golden Beach with a group of friends. We stayed at Porto Thassos and we loved this family-owned hotel. The hotel is owned and managed by the Katrantzis family – Voula, Nikos and their son, Stavros. They were fantastic hosts and did everything they could to make us feel at home. I think it is worth mentioning that Stavros holds a degree in tourism from the University of Athens. He is fluent in English and will gladly give you suggestions on restaurants, local attractions and places to visit on the island. You can also ask him about the ferry schedule. Nikos makes an exceptional olive oil and my friends buy a canister every time they visit. He has an interesting tool to harvest figs from the huge tree on the property. You should try some ripe figs if you happen to visit in August or September. My friends made our reservations directly with the hotel in order to get the best rates. The website is well designed and user friendly. The subsequent communication was seamless and very helpful. The hotel is comprised of 3 buildings. The larger building has 12 studios and the reception. The other 2 buildings have 4 two-bedroom apartments each. There are 2 outdoor grills and free bikes to rent. The apartments were very clean - kudos to the housekeeper who did an excellent job every day. The location is perfect - close to the beach and restaurants. Plenty of parking space under the olive trees. Very large balcony with 2 square tables and 5 chairs. The second bedroom has a small balcony with a table and 2 chairs. I have to point out a small detail – the large balcony is facing north and has plenty of shade all day long. You will appreciate this especially when visiting in July or August. The kitchen has a medium sized refrigerator, an electric stove/cooktop and everything you need if you feel like cooking on your vacation. As other reviewers pointed out, the shower has a glass cabin. This means there are no plastic curtains that cling to your body and let the water drip on the floor. It is a criterion I look for when booking a place to stay. If you like sweets, there is a nice pastry shop called Panetteria next to Carrefour Express. They sell fresh bread, baklavas, birthday cakes and a wide variety of desserts.…

Having the privilege of finding a good offer here, was the best thing that happened this summer to us! The staff helped us finding an everyday-activity, took good care of us and the rooms were so special, comfortable and well cleaned. We did felt welcomed from the first minutes until the last. Special thanks to Stavros, the receptionist, being so interested of helping and asking everyday if everything is alright!
