The room was small, no hooks to put stuff for drying. Bathroom fan loud. Hotel clean, friendly staff. The downside is the wasps in the breakfast area and hard matresses. The breakfast was very good and every day with addition of some fried dish different every day (loukomades, small cheese pies, eggs with veggies...).

The hotel looks quite decent as for 2 stars. Rooms simple but really clean. Little fridge in the room, small balcony where you can hang your towels to dry. Big swimming pool with sufficient number of sun chairs, and wifi. Nice helpful staff, especially Maria :)
Simple but fresh greek style breakfast
The only downside was that the nearest beach was about 1km away /Glicorisa Beach/ so you had to walk along a busy road, no pavement. The same if you wanted to visit Pythagorio

We stayed at the Mykali in June ,A lovely postion and view and very clean. We were half board but we only ate in hotel two nights out seven ,it was a set meal so if you did not like the meal you were a bit twix between ,meals we had were very much same same sliced potatoes with meat on top the food was not very Greek. We had breakfast most mornings ok eggs;ham, cheese, cerials, fresh fruit. The walk from the hotel was 25 to 30 mins into town ok nice but a busy walk on the main road ok if you are good on your legs. the nearest beach was a walk down a steep hill a car or scooter would be favoured, car hire quit cheep a scooter 8 euro for the day next to the hotel. The airport was very close I would not pay for transferes its cheaper by taxi. The staff at the hotel were not over friendly they didn't encourage us to stay at the bar on a nightime we felt we needed to go into town for entertainment and a decent meal, where there was plenty to choose from. The hotel has a beautiful veiw but has no shops nearby, you need to go to town. There is a good bus service to Samos Town from outside the hotel. A boat trip to Turkey takes about hour and half you can book it in town. A great day out. Our veiw on this holiday was that we had a very relaxing week well worth the trip and we would go back to Samos. Pythagogion is lovely place but if we stayed at Mykali again we would hire a car from airport, this would make a very big difference and wouldn,t feel so cut off.

This is a very lovely hotel, where the owners and staff make you feel like family. The rooms are clean and very charming, with nice sea-views.
The food is made with love and is very good.
If you stay here, you must have a lovely swim in the big and clean swimming pool, followed by a nice frappe, milkshake, or a lovely mojito at the poolbar.
If you want to go to pythagorion, it’s just a little nice walk.
We will definitely come back and make more wonderful memories here!

hi just returned we stayed in the mykalia hotel pythagorio, it was about 20 -25 mins walk into center no shops or tavernas on way so no were to rest your poor weary legs! the hotel had a lovely large pool, the staff were ok not that friendly not many english go there.food was very poor , limited snacks during day and you had that long walk into town if you wanted a nice evening meal. it was very clean and the views were beautiful but i wouldnt recomend if you have difficulty in walking. they do run a free bus but that too was at silly tmes, the rooms were very clean and the hotel itself lacked any atmosphere it was a shame as it was a lovely place to stay

The staff goes out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Nice, greek food for lunsj, we did not try the dinner menu. Shuttle bus to Phytagorion takes five minutes, but has not the most practical time table. But taxi from pythagorion is 5 Euro.
Nvery nice and quiet pool area, and good sized pool. Tennis court that the guests can use for free. All in all a romantic and very nice place to stay in Samos.

After former great reviews of this hotel on tripadvisor, our hopes where big on this Greek pearl. Never have we been more wrong.

Bad things:
Dirty and badly built bathroom, only extreme hot/cold water in the shower, the shower was only 0,5 x 0,5 meters, FILLED with bedbugs that made us scrach all over, aircondition was broken, no sea view (as promised) because of overgrown trees and bushes, heated frozen schnitzel, frozen vegetables and powder mashed potatoes served as main course in the restaurant (including an apple on a plate for desert titled "fruit" on the menu).

Good things:
Big pool, nice bar, happy and nice staff.

The few nice things does not outweigh the bad i am afraid. I would not choose this hotel.

Lovely staff, clean place, view to the open sea, breakfast good (only the wasps were making some unpleasantness), bar at the pool were nice and coctails were one night 5 euro. It is 2 km away from the city and beach, but they have a van that is free to for guests 3 times a day. All in all, price and the 2 stars hotel matches value.

A very quiet small hotel with a great poolbar. The staff is very friendly and helpsome. The hotel consists of several small buildings with mostly two floors (a few had three floors). Rooms very well maintained and clean. They even arranged a breakfast package for us at 6:30 one day although breakfast only started 8:00. Good shuttlebus service on time to the beach and the city.
