We have been in several all inclusive hotels and this was by far the worst we have visited. Food was bland, cold and the same every day. Drinks were awful. Only one option of flat tasteless beer in small plastic cups. We had to ask for sugar free drinks as all the self serve machines were full fat. One four slice toaster that took around 5-10 mins at least was there to be used by 800 guests Not child (pram) friendly at all. Wouldn't recommend for wheelchair users or families with pram / pushchair. Rooms were very dated. No tea / coffee making facilities in the rooms. Tiny fridge with two small bottles of water - never restocked! We had to ask for a kettle to boil water for baby milk. Daughter and grandsons room was riddled with ants.

IF YOU ARE BRITISH, WANT DECENT ALL INCLUSIVE AND A TASTE OF GREECE, AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! Arrived at the Horizon around 12.30am and were greeted immediately by reception asking for the Greece hotel charge which is fair enough as we knew about that but then to be told to have €14 for Wi-fi for the two rooms we would have to pay, not happy with this as myself and husband in one room and daughter and grandson in another and fee only covers 1 phone in the room so I had to pay mobile provider for my wi-fi! Do not be fooled by the superior room, absolute load of crap as there is no difference between what we had and what daughter had which was basic double room! They provided travel cot for grandson but we had to ask for kettle to allow his bottles to be made but as we were only provided with 2 small bottles of water in the very old fridge in the room, thereafter we had to buy bottled water from the local Shops!!! All inclusive drinks are disgusting, €8 for a cocktail and everything served in plastic cups and they don’t even serve the local drink of mythos unless you buy a bottle, the drink on tap is German which brings me to the food 🤬 all food is aimed at the Germans and French, always cold and seems to be if not eaten at breakfast will reappear at lunch and same for lunch and then tea! 1 yes 1 four slice toaster for over 500 rooms so if you do decide on toast don’t worry about the rest of your breakfast going cold, it already was or will be when you add to your plate hence we walked into statist most days - no warnings for anyone who may have any allergies on any of the food and no sugar free soft drinks unless you ask at the bar. We had grandson in pushchair and as there were 3 adults were told to go through to the back of the room (doesn’t deserve the title of restaurant) where the pushchair wouldn’t be in the way, told to sit next to coffee machine and by the 3rd night refused to sit next to scalding coffee and chose our own table which they didn’t like but if there are only 2 adults with a pram and your face fits you can sit anywhere! The “lady” who greets you at the trough is so so rude and doesn’t like it when you question her on anything and does have her favourites! Germans were as rude as can be regardless of whether in trough, around the bar or fighting to get towels onto the sun loungers which have seen better days and take your own beach towel or they charge you €5 per towel per day! Overall an absolute waste of money staying here and would never recommend to anyone, even worst enemy!!

Hotel in a minimalist style. I choose hotels with good cuisine and the opportunity to sail far. The cuisine turned out to be of high quality and varied for 4+. The lack of a beach did not interfere, quite the opposite. There was a strong surge on the sandy beaches of Stalida and swimming was prohibited. The swimming area was hidden by rocks. The staff were friendly and worked hard. The workload in the restaurant is enormous. Special thanks to Manos. There are a lot of couples with children. The holiday was a success.

Firstly, This is not a four star hotel, & I would say it is a three at best. Although it has lots of little positive quirks it is let down by a number of others. And I will offer my opinion & justify the comments I have written with evidence. Starting with the positives. The rooms are of a good standard with air con, but some are away from the hotel, so if you have mobility issues inform the hotel. They are set on 3 floors,.again with stairs, no elevator. The views are stunning as you can see from the pictures & made our stay. Should you venture into Stalis, go down to the beachfront, not the road. The standard of food is of a high standard with plenty of choice, coupled with the stunning views will leave you in awe. All staff were friendly, generally personable, but some speak limited English, far better than our Greek - Yamas! The house keeping was of a VERY high standard. The pool area was well set out & accommodated yet again soaking up the amazing views. Negatives. The drinks package is very limited, which is why this is definitely NOT a four star hotel. There is a choice of 4 spirits, no. cocktails. Rola cola & other such nasty mixers. The baths are dangerous & on two levels, there is no warning signs. And with the lighting. It is easy to miss this important safety feature. All in all a good budget hotel, to state you are a four star hotel, You are definitely punching above your weight. We would recommend this hotel for a holiday with caveats.

We have been on our honeymoon at this hotel 9 years ago. We have returned this year, but now with our little daughter in addition. We have been impressed again about delicious and fresh food. Some food is prepared in order that cooking process shall be observed. The buildings and rooms position is interesting, not being necessary to go up on stairs too many levels and the hotel space is also generous, with a great plants and flowers garden. The sea front has an absolutely romantic and outstanding way from hotel to sandy beach. Horizon Beach Hotel is verry apropiate for famillies with small children. Hotel staff is friendly and helpfull. Verry good!

Very nice hotel located on the coast line and within walking distance to Stalis. Hotel manager was pleasant to deal with and helpful. Only issues we endured was not being made aware there was a €66 tax to be paid to the hotel on arrival and only 1 room key issued which was problematic when 3 people were staying in the room. Facilities were good but there was the age old problem of people placing towels on sun loungers in the morning and wandering off for the day. This was despite there being ample sun loungers at the resort. Hotel location is excellent and due to the clear water at the coast line this is a stopping point for the local boat cruises. Therefore, excellent spot for those who enjoy ocean swimming and diving/jumping of jetties.

Just home from a lovely weeks stay, we went for my sisters Birthday , on arrival our room was up quite a few stairs im awaiting a hip operation and my sister has a bad ankle it was no trouble at all in moving us reception team were so helpful ,we had a lovely room by the pool, rooms were fresh smelling and clean, the food was good we always found something we liked, drinks were good to and if you wanted a cocktail at €5 you can't complain , we found all of the staff helpful and happy nothing was to much trouble , there is only a lift in reception area that's the only downfall we found and the bathrooms could do with a shelf for toiletries. ,which we did put on our survey . The views are just beautiful ,there is an abundance of shops bars restruants just a taxi ride away you can walk but we felt was to long a walk for us , all in all we had a great holiday and would definitely go again 🙂

The food is excellent, and the staff is very helpful. We asked for a twin room and they changed the one we had originally. When we went for along excursion, they made us a very early breakfast, a lunch packet and a late dinner. They have nice swimming pools, even one with salt water and an aqua park for the kids. The beach is rocks, but there is a small pier you can swim from. There is a public beach close by. The only negative thing is that their all inclusive does not include coctails and that you have to rent the pool towels
