Just returned from Aggello Boutique Hotel in Stalida. Had a lovely 10 days. Hotel met all our requirements, ample space in the parking lot for our rental car. Upon entering the hotel, you immediately notice how neat the hotel is and how good it smells! That's a nice entry.

After checking in we had to wait 20 minutes for the room to be ready, so we got something to drink from the house. Arriving in the room it turned out to be spotless, beautiful shower facilities (white "marble"), fancy washing facilities, air conditioning AND ceiling fan and also very nice (firm) beds that were long enough for me (almost 2 meters). The TV in the room had a Chromecast, but it was not really usable because of the sometimes slow wifi. But we didn't come to Greece for YouTube or Netflix anyway. At most the reunion of B&B full of love...

Staff were extremely friendly (despite it being the end of the season for them too, and some walking on their gums). The owner is disliked by many people, but we were not bothered at all. She's a little TOO businesslike at best, but we could handle that just fine. Her partner (Kostas) from the restaurant of the same name was also extremely friendly. But you can say the same for everyone, cleaners, bar staff, all equally friendly and time for a chat. "Come as a Guest, leave as a friend" (as it said on their Facebook somewhere, for us it gets over with what we experienced.

In terms of breakfast we were satisfied, I don't have a choice of 15 types of meats or cheeses at home. Every day 3 different hot snacks, a different preparation form of egg and different types of bread (including brown bread which tasted good). Possibly we are a bit too easy then, but actually only the orange juice was not good...

Just like in the pictures!! Very nice hotel that has been renovated in recent years. One of the best in Crete! The hotel is run by a family, and you notice that in everything. Super friendly, cooperative and enthusiastic people who are always there for you. I suffered from stomach flu for a day, and the staff even offered to get medication for you from the pharmacy. Very sympathetic!!

About the hotel:
Super stylish Boutique Hotel, cozy cozy layout and a wonderfully cooling and clean swimming pool with pool bar. Here Yiannis will serve you the best drinks and cocktails, and “for a pool bar” provide you with delicious lunch dishes (both healthy and tasty unhealthy snacks). Rooms are clean, tidy and thoroughly cleaned daily. Towel service every other day (thinking about the climate) but otherwise perfect. Rooms are spacious, with balcony and seating area. Beds are good, as well as a spacious bathroom and separate sink. Bohemian style furnishings, modern and fully equipped.

Breakfast:
Good! Think of sandwiches, croissants, eggs, various types of fillings, coffee, pastries, cookies, etc. Spacious breakfast room, quiet in terms of acoustics.

Location:
Perfect! Located on the main street, but you won't notice this in the hotel/swimming pool. The location is also perfect, just outside the hustle and bustle but still close to beach bars, bars and restaurants in Stalis.

Restaurant Kostas (not included):
Kostas (owner), Stelios and staff know how to serve guests. Top service, and always with a joke and a smile. The food is exceptionally good, often with tasty and local products. The menu is very diverse, you will find traditional Greek, meat, fish and European dishes here. Portions are always richly filled and very tasty. Don't forget the ouzo, which flows freely as the evening progresses. Especially on Saturday as there is Greek night with live music and traditional dancers!!

Boutique hotel that looks luxurious in the photos, hotel is neat but it is only very unfortunate that the quality of the materials used is poor, so sit hotel will quickly degrade.
That can already be seen at some points.
We had a small corner room with a spacious balcony, room did not have the nice decor as in the photos on the site.
Only high beam and no reading / mood light, air conditioning does not work properly, there is no hot water in the evening, but lukewarm seems like they turn this off.
Breakfast is minimal, there are no fresh products, but croissants from a package of minimal quality.
Pool is neat and the pool bar is super arranged with nice man behind the bar. But pool still on the small side.
The hostess is not welcoming and nice, do not expect help if you want tips on the area, she refers you to a tourist office for info on the most basic things.
Restaurant at the hotel (kostas) fine, but quite pricey compared to the other restaurants nearby.
As a hotel guest, you are placed in and on top of each other at small tables while there is plenty of space at the front, but they save these places for arriving guests.
The hotel could have gotten some more stars from me, but the chagrin of the hostess poppy has made us feel unwelcome and were already negative towards the hotel, and then you see a lot of negative things.
Stalis is not really a place but a chain of shops and restaurants without a real village center.
Tip rent a car and hit the road. Tip; bays on the mirabello bay and boat trip to chrissi island for snorkeling

We stayed 10 days at the hotel and had a very good time there. The staff (both bar and restaurant) were very friendly and in addition everything was thick for each other: a nice, clean room with sea view and a good breakfast every morning. The location was within walking distance of all bars, beach clubs and of course the beach itself. Definitely recommended!

Super nice hotel in the center of Stalis.
Nicely furnished (recently renovated) rooms. There is a nice swimming pool with plenty of sun loungers and a pool bar (delicious drinks and food).
Breakfast is excellent and something for everyone. And if you miss something, you can always ask and it will be arranged (if possible), such as oat milk or gluten-free bread... Great.

To anyone seeking relaxation and unwinding from everyday stress in the beautiful island of Crete, I would strongly recommend staying at Aggello Boutique Hotel. The family-owned venue offers a great variety of rooms with tasteful furniture and modern equipment. Not to mention the breakfast they offer that outstanding every experience I have made so far. The whole property is lovely and just the perfect option to spend some unforgettable hours. The receptionist is always ready to help and welcoms the guests with a warming and trustful attitude. Clear 10/10.

Great hotel!! The rooms are very well designed and clean and exactly the same as promoted on the internet. The employees are very friendly and always helpful and made our holiday complete. Food in the restaurant Kostas is also very good!! On Saturdays live music, reservation for eating in Kostas is a must due to the fact that whole Stalida is coming to watch and listen to the music :) We sure come back again

Wonderful to be back in this beautiful boutique hotel. The hostess and host are wonderful people and, together with their enthusiastic staff, make you feel welcome during your stay. The hotel is located on the road, but you don't notice it. It is wonderfully quiet to relax by the pool where there is a bar where you can enjoy delicious drinks and lunch/snacks. The restaurant at the front of the hotel has a good, extensive menu. The rooms are nicely decorated and have good beds. A nice bathroom with a lovely rain shower and everything is neat and clean.

Wonderful cute little slice of heaven in the centre of Malia with spacious rooms and a beautiful swimming pool. The owners Popi and Kostas are some of the sweetest people I have ever met during my travels, Jannis at the pool par gave us some interesting insights about Crete and greek history and Irini have always served us dinner with some positive vibes and good smile all the time. The Albanian woman was smiling at us all the time when she discovered we were Italians and that was so funny hahaha. Amazing staff!

There is a free parking for the guests and also the opportunity to book a half board option for your stay if you book directly from their website. The dinner menù is a bit limited but the portions are generous and very delicious. Don't miss out the greek style theme night every Saturday if you stay in the weekend.

Highly recommend for people who wants a nice base to explore the centre-east part of the island and good vibes.

What a lovely hotel this was. Nice interior, both in the common areas and the room itself. Every day the room was completely cleaned up, we liked this very much. Nice breakfast (not very extensive unfortunately). The pool was fine, just not very big and there was not a deeper part. It really is a subweb hotel, so as far as we noticed there were only Dutch people. We would not go for such a Dutch hotel next time. The location of the hotel is great. Super close to the beach and nice restaurants. The village itself is purely geared towards tourism, so there is not much to do except good food and going to the beach. If you want to see more of the island we would recommend you to rent a car. The village is close to a major road, here you can also take the bus to eg Cherso.
All in all we had a nice stay at this hotel.

Hello Moojoose, The hotel entrance is on the right side of the hotel and you can use the wheelchair to go in. Our room was on the ground floor but we had like 5-6 steps (small stairway) to reach it. It is just a few steps but not accessible by wheelchair. You would have to bring it up and down. If a person can walk a short distance (10-15m) then it would not be problem. Regarding the swimming pool area, it is behind the hotel, so you have to go out of the building and go around the hotel. Luckily for us, our balcony was facing the swimming pool area so we just went over the balcony fence and there we were. Hope I did not confuse you :) Great place and I am sure they would think of something to help you. All the best Marko
