My wife and I were treated to 3 nights at this hotel by our family. We live permanently on Crete and are well aware of the enormous differences between the quality of hotels here. We certainly were not disappointed. This is an exceptional property. Our room was extremely clean and comfortable and the staff very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Located... More

We did not have a booking and walked in to ask if they had a free room. The staff were excellent and showed us the range of accommodation. We ended up booking the 2 bedroom apartment which was very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped, even a washing machine which was great as we have been travelling for some... More

We've stayed in Paleo many times but always in appartments. This time our chosen appartment was not available so we decided to go for a hotel and On The Rocks looked a good option. We have walked past it many many times and it provided a different offering to what we were accustomed to. In fact very soon after we... More

The hotel is well located near all the restaurants and bars but still in a quiet spot - easy short walk on the flat and no need to walk down any dark alleys or bring your torch - a bonus for Greece! Every room has a sea view and a balcony. Rooms are nice, clean and modern and have a... More

Have just returned after 7 nights in On the Rocks. The best thing for me was how helpful the staff were. They could not have been more helpful and friendly. Breakfast was lovely sitting on the terrace and was varied every day. Great location and very quiet. Air con essential and was great. Would return in a heartbeat.

Very comfortable hotel, spent four nights here whilst on a walking holiday. Staff very friendly and helpful. Close to tavernas and shops but quiet location. Rooms very clean and well furnished, including a mini bar in each room. Choice and standard of breakfast excellent.

The hotel is located at the end of the Paleochora seashore promenade and has lovely views along the coast towards the headlands of Souyia and Ayia Roumeli, especially in the morning. The rooms are slightly small but well organised and all seem to have a balcony and sea view. Breakfast was nice enough and could be taken on an attractive... More

Stayed here for two nights while on a walking holiday in southwest Crete. It is a small hotel on the seafront in Paleochora. Clean and smart with helpful staff. The location is very central. We only ate breakfast here, but there are loads of tavernas a stone throw away.

We spent a very enjoyable 5 nights at this hotel in July. Very good location looking overlooking the Libyan sea and just a stroll away from restaurants and bars. The hotel is well run and staff are welcoming. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Breakfasts were delicious. Would stay here again when visiting Paleo.

The hotel is situated near the village. In the night it's quiet. The rooms are big enough and there is a good view over the sea. Breakfast is not to big but o.k. There's place to park your rental car in front of the hotel. It's safe.
