We were incredibly impressed with all the improvements that have been made since our last visit here 8 years ago.
Room We had a double room with a sea view on the 3rd floor. Our double was 2 single beds put together to form a double, this was not a problem for us but maybe for others. Our son and his partners room next door had a very large double bed. The view from the balcony was very good, we could see the sea in one direction and the hills behind in the other. It was very well equipped with tea and coffee facilities, fridge with water replenished daily,a wardrobe with hangers, drawers and shelving. There was also a very comfortable sofa in a sitting area. The bathroom had a very large shower. The room was cleaned everyday to a very high standard and bath towels seemed to be changed daily.
Buffet/ food We ate breakfast and dinner in the main buffet restaurant. We found plenty of choice every day for all tastes. There were several themed nights including, Indian, Chinese and Mexican. My husband loved indulging in the many desserts on offer. At lunchtime we tended to visit the snack bar on the beach front, there was always plenty of choices on offer. There are 2 other restaurants available to book to eat in but we were more than happy with the buffet.
Pools There are several pools on offer, the main pool had daily entertainment, including aerobics and water polo which were very popular. We found we preferred the adult only pool at the far end of the resort which was very quiet, perfect for a swim to cool off and quite deep, should any children wander into it a life guard would regularly come round and check and ask them to leave. Just round the corner was an amazing water park for the children to play in with numerous slides. What really impressed us was the lack of reserving of sun beds, no matter what time of day there was always beds available, and certainly not the early morning rush you encounter else where. The main pool and the area of the water park and adult pool both had a bar serving the full range of drinks you would expect or want.
Entertainment
Most evenings there appeared to be a children’s disco followed by the main event, we watched some amazing Cretan dancing and singing, a wonderful group of young lady singers from South Africa, a magician and an acrobat act. There is plenty of comfortable seating around the terrace and across the whole complex.
Reception The ladies and gentlemen on reception were very helpful and polite. We had a small issue with our key card in our room and they had a technician sort it in less than an hour in the early evening.
Shop There is a small on-site shop that sells a variety of souvenirs, daily newspapers, snacks, water, toys and swimming things, all at quite reasonable prices.
We had an amazing stay and would thoroughly recommend. If we return again in the future we would love to try the bungalows with pools.

Amazing first family holiday abroad! Hotel spotlessly clean. Rooms made up and cleaned every day with fresh towels. The children were pleased with slushies available. Pools were fantastic! My children are picky eaters so they lived on chips and rice, pancakes, waffles, doughnuts, ice cream. I'm gluten free, breakfast was clearly marked but lunch and evening meals weren't at clear. I managed though. My partner and I booked for a massage. FIORI massaged me, it was so relaxing and once she found some knots she asked if I would like more pressure. My partner had Christina. He too thought his massage was relaxing. Would definitely return but next time hire a car to venture out. Amazing views and spectacular sunsets.

We’ve just returned from a fantastic week at Arina Beach Resort with my husband and 5-year-old daughter, and I can’t recommend this place enough. We had a wonderful time and would happily visit again.
Pros:
Quick Transfer from the Airport – One of the biggest advantages is that the hotel is only a 10-minute drive from Heraklion Airport. After a long flight, it was great to arrive at the hotel so quickly and start enjoying our holiday right away.
Plenty of Sunbeds – One of the best things was not having to wake up early to reserve sunbeds. There were more than enough modern and comfortable beds with parasols available throughout the day, so we could relax without any stress.
Great Pools – The resort has five amazing pools, though only the indoor one is heated. My daughter and I loved the children's pool, which had multiple slides for all ages. Even as a non-swimmer, I felt safe and had so much fun going down the slides with her.
Friendly and Attentive Staff – The staff at Arina Beach are incredibly friendly and helpful. They remember your drink preferences and always greet you with a smile. It made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
Fun Entertainment – My daughter loved the mini disco at 8:30pm every evening. The animation team worked tirelessly to create a fun atmosphere, and the evening entertainment was top-notch, with a mix of Latino dancers, magic shows, and live singing performances.
Clean and Well-Maintained – The entire hotel, including the grounds, was kept spotlessly clean. Housekeeping did a great job every day, ensuring we came back to a clean and comfortable room.
Fantastic Room – We stayed in room 3204, which had a beautiful sea view and was very quiet at night. We all slept really well, which was a huge plus!
Delicious Food – The food at the resort was excellent, with a great variety, especially for vegetarians. It was always fresh, never repetitive, and there were live cooking stations. The breakfast was particularly good, and my daughter and I enjoyed fresh pancakes every morning. The desserts were a highlight, both in appearance and taste.
Great Kids Club – The kids' club was well-organized, and the staff were really engaging with the children. It was a nice option for my daughter, and it gave us some time to relax.
Cons:
Pools Not Heated – The only drawback was that the outdoor pools weren’t heated, so if you’re visiting outside peak summer months, the water can be quite cold. It wasn’t a big issue for us, but it’s worth noting if you prefer warmer water. Overall, we had a fantastic time at Arina Beach Resort, and I’d highly recommend it to families looking for a fun, relaxing holiday with great facilities, quick access from the airport, and attentive service.

My husband & I have just enjoyed two weeks at the Arina Beach Resort.
The hotel is set in a lovely peaceful location & only 15 minutes from the airport so you will be the first to be dropped off & the last to be picked up on the return journey.
The food at the hotel is excellent, there is so much choice at every meal, even the fussiest eater would be well catered for.
We spent our days on the beach where there were always sunbeds & parasols available. The sea is clean & some days it was very calm & other days there were some great waves, it was quite cool in the morning but by the afternoon it had warmed up considerably.
A big thank you to Olga at the pool bar & the guys who worked in the Exclusive bar in the evenings who always remembered what we wanted to drink. There is no waiter service at all you have to go & get everything yourself which we had not encountered before whilst on holiday.
Our room was on the third floor with spectacular views & sunsets. The towels were changed every day & the bedding changed every few days. There is also shampoo & shower gel etc in the fabulous sized shower.
I knew I was going to have a great time as soon as we checked into reception but my one niggle is the smoking. My husband and I had to move several times in the evening when we were at the Exclusive bar & on a couple of occasions it was so bad that we had to go back to our room & sit on the balcony, us Brits just aren't used to it. I appreciate that people want to smoke & that's absolutely fine but I certainly don't want to be breathing in other people's cigarette fumes every evening, surely in this day & age it would be ideal if there was a NO SMOKING area as well for all non smokers so that we could sit & enjoy the entertainment in the evenings as much as the smokers do.
We've been home a week tomorrow so would we return......... yes definitely, we've had a lovely relaxing holiday.
Thank you Arina Beach

This hotel is amazing all rooms have a sea view we had a superior room with a fantastic sea view and right next to the aqua park which was ideal with an 11 year old the rooms were made up and cleaned every day with fresh towels every day The food even the fussy eaters couldn’t complain about with a great kids section with plenty of chicken nuggets (not processed chicken) and pizza which keeps most children happy the pool bar had an amazing selection every lunch time so no need to use the main restaurant at lunch time Asian restaurant had a fantastic choice Staff couldn’t do enough for you especially Mitchell who was amazing with the children working very hard long hours Only thing I would say is not much outside hotel but city is only 10 minutes away but the shops across the road are much cheaper than the hotel shop Will definitely be returning

This is our first time at Arina Resort and we are overwhelmed with the service , accommodations, food and overall experience! The price is extremely affordable 👍 We are staying in a Beach front suite with a private pool , the rooms are very large , clean and nicely decorated.
We live in Naples Florida in the United States and to get just a beach front room , no pool or all inclusive would be the same price as Arina ( just the room ) , So to get all of this and be in Greece 🇬🇷 is amazing !
The staff has far exceeded our expectations! My Husband is in a wheelchair and especially the management has gone above and beyond to make sure he is taking care of first class !!!
I would highly recommend visiting Arina Resort, definitely 5 stars In every way!

2nd stay at Arina Beach and it didn't disappoint. Lovely welcome upon arriving, cases carried to our room. Room was spotless (superior with sea view) and there was a complimentary bottle of wine, bowl of fruit and 3 bottles of water. Water was replenished each day. Room was cleaned each day to a high standard. There is a safe in the room which is free - excellent idea.
Food was always plentiful and delicious. There were sometimes one or two cats in the main dining room which I didn't agree with but they didn't bother you.
We didn't try the other 2 restaurants due to one of the party having a nut allergy so didn't want to take any chances. Did frequent the snack bar a couple of times and the.pizza here is so much better than the main dining room one!
All staff work extremely hard and are friendly. There must be lots of staff behind the scenes also working extremely hard so a big shout-out to them also.
This year I did notice a bit more selling whether this was trying to sell pool t shirts or health and beauty.
Great hotel if you're looking for a relaxing stay, not much near the hotel as sites are further afield.
Your all-inclusive is until you leave the hotel which was super.
Sunbeds. We didn't have a problem getting a bed. Some people put their towels down from around 6am if they want a particular bed, others around 7, the next lot 7.30. The last beds get taking (in August) around 9-9.30. I did notice some people put towels down early but then don't return for most of the day - would be good if the hotel monitored this. You can change your pool towels as many times as you wish - open everyday 10.00-12.30.
Would I stay again ? Yes if I could ever afford a swim up room!

We have just returned home from our holiday at Arina beach hotel we had a fabulous time there were 7 of us with ages ranging from 67 years to 8 years old.
The Hotel is in a great position on a beautiful beach with sand not shingle and crystal clear water.
The rooms were spacious and cleaned well with fresh towels daily the beds were so comfortable and large.
The choice of food was good and always tasty.
The staff were pleasant and very hardworking you could see they took pride in their work.
The Reception staff were pleasant and helpful and the guy on the buggy that helps with your luggage was always smiling and happy.
Our children had a great time in the pools and on the water slides the pools were spotlessly clean.
The nigh time entertainment was a little hit and miss the best we saw was the Drifters tribute night they were fantastic singers.
The sunbeds were the best I've ever lay on especially the double ones they were so comfortable.
Negatives;
There's not enough accessible toilets in the resort, the toilets near to the Baby pool/relax area had 17 steps going down to them one of our party has mobility issues so it was a bit of a trek to the toilets near to the beach restaurant down the ramp.
There are a small amount of toilets near to the shop which the main bar uses so they could become a little dirty at the end of the night.
We had a meal at the Sunset restaurant and I asked to use the toilet and was told there aren't any so again I had to use the stairs or the lift down to the toilets in the main bar area which is a bit of a trek from the restaurant.
There are no toilets on the first floor of the resort near to the Reception.
The lifts are very small and hot I saw a Mum with a buggy and one other child struggling to get in at the same time.
The area near to the Sunset restaurant which has the beanbags placed out we thought would be lovely as a chill out bar as its just wasted space at the moment it would be a great alternative space if you didn't want entertainment at night and would be an even better view if the concrete wall was replaced by railings or a glass balustrade.
We felt that one of the other bars should stay open later to allow you to watch the sunset they closed at 6pm and I walked up to the bar for a drink at 5.45pm I asked the bartender are you still open and his reply was what do you want so long as its easy then we are open!!
My suggestions for the Hotel Management Toilets on the first floor of the main building and the pool bar open later to allow Guests to enjoy the sunset without evening entertainment.

Just got back from a fantastic weeks holiday at the arina beach resort hotel and spa. Clean and modern with stunning views and a special shout out to Georgio the restaurant manager for helping us with our grandson who has multiple allergies and sorting him out his individually cooked delicious food and Eirina for looking after us all supplying us with many trays of alcoholic and soft drinks from the bar with her smile and charm. This is a beautiful hotel with many bars and swimming pools and fantastic for us as a family. There is a great children's pool with slides etc ranging from babies to teenagers plus a kids club every morning and afternoon. The resort is spotless and we had a fantastic family room with a sea view on the ground floor and right beside a calm and relaxing swimming pool which my 2 year old grandson absolutely loved and was in from morning till late afternoon. We visited a dinosaur park just down the road which you can reach by bus but they are very busy and you could wait a while but we opted for a 15 euro one way taxi journey with an entertaining driver who gave us a run down of the local area and where to visit. Rooms were cleaned every day with fresh towels and there was entertainment every evening proceeded by a kids mini disco which my grandson loved and danced at. We spent most of the time around the pool and were all inclusive so no need to eat out but theres plenty around outside if you wanted to be more adventurous and visit towns, villages etc. The only down side was the journey home and the queuing at heraklion airport 🙄 I really do think with the amount of tourism in crete they need to extend and renovate the old airport. All in all it's a great hotel to stay at and would definitely go back to and stay longer than 7 days, we all had a relaxing holiday. One more thing its only 20 mins from the airport so short transfer time this does mean you are on the flight path to the airport but actually I didnt mind the planes going over and we would try to work out which airline or tour company and which country they were coming in from. Thanks arina beach for a great holiday we will be seeing you again.

For the second time in this hotel, this time with my husband and neighbors/friends. The weather was fantastic at this hotel and I wasn't the only one who felt that way. We arrived at night and were warmly welcomed at the reception by Alexander and Jannis we were allowed to eat and drink what we wanted. The food was fantastic again and whatever restaurant or bar you came to they treat you as a guest, as a friend at home. The rooms were also cleaned every day, beds changed and you got fresh towels every day both for the room and for the beach. We would love to come back here sometime. In one word enjoyed.

you can view it on Arina's own website and have a walk through tour of the room type. I would assume the package operators haven't done deals for that room type or its sold out. You could check the hotels website if that room type is available on the dates your looking.
