At Hotel Quellenhof, your comfort and satisfaction come first, and they look forward to welcoming you to Bad Breisig.
We chose Bad Breisig as a transit stop between Bavaria and Amsterdam (I had stayed there over 50 years ago so was curious to see how things had changed - remarkably little !) Quellenhof seemed and was a pleasant simple hotel fit for purpose: Free parking, inexpensive and close to the town centre. Bed was really comfortable; bathroom unusually large; 5 minute walk to Rhine promenade and its many restaurants (the Hotel also boasts a Chinese restaurant but we didn't try this). This hotel would be fine for a longer stay, if the area appeals. Covid-19 in August 2020: Face masks to be worn in the Hotel but other than that not much changed. Guests could help themselves to anything from the buffet breakfast in the usual manner including common forks, spoons and tongs to serve themselves items from the buffet.…
We were there for a night during a long bicycle trip. The service was very nice, the room was cosy and the bathroom big and clean. Breakfast, while not very big, was nice and it was included in the price. Overall a good place to stay.
A nice little family driven hotel where you feel welcome. Rooms are clean and with good spage. The food are excellent - and you get a lot, to a good price. Restaurant was Michelin recommended in 2009. A nice place to stay for some nights. Despite the timing of the Year, the hotel was fully booked.
We booked the hotel at a time that coincided with the Rheine in Flames event in adjacent Andernach, so it was very busy and quite hard to find a hotel for all 3 days. We needed to book somewhere for specific days as we had booked to visit nearby Nurgburgring race track, which also had an event on. The Quellenhof is a delightful small German family hotel in the pretty small town of Bad Breisig. The town is interesting and very well placed for local exploring, and there is plenty to visit locally. There is a good range of restaurants and bars in walking distance on the shores of the Rheine. We drove down from Cologne airport; the hotel has car parking. The Quellenhof is a friendly hotel with a personal guest house appeal, and appears attractive to local German visitors and business people in the know. The room we had was big with a separate balcony seating area. It was next door to the Roman Spa so very convenient for visitors. The hotel was spotless, it was so clean I walked into the patio door thinking it was open! The facilities were not modern but that is not the appeal of this traditional style. The owners did not speak English but we all got by. The Grandson is from Canada so he was a friendly barman and translater! The breakfast is continental with boiled eggs as well, but is well stocked with beautifully fresh local meats, cheeses, fruit, breads, cereals etc. We look forward to a big breakfast and were not disappointed. The restaurant and bar areas are very traditional and pleasant with a small outside veranda. The menu looks very good but we eat out. Bad Breisig is a small town, the hotel is not in the main tourist part of town but a very short walk away. We enjoyed our stay, it was nice to be in a friendly local hotel. We hope to stop again next year.…
Four of us toured Germany on motorbikes, this was an overnight stop that we chose due to its location (close to Rhine and restaurants). Comfy rooms & good breakfasts - would stay here again.
