We stayed here before catching the early morning ferry back to the U.K. Between us we had two rooms, both had been recently renovated and were comfortably appointed with decent facilities. A wee bit on the expensive side but it is in a holiday destination and the port is only a 2 minute drive away. If the weather permits a...

Visited with my wife and two friends, lunch before catching the ferry back to Portsmouth. The menu was simple but the food was good quality, well prepared and the service was excellent. Very reasonably priced too. Nothing fancy about the restaurant in this hotel, but well worth a visit. We will be going back.

I have visited Hotel Du Phare many, many times and it does not disappoint. (The Hotel rooms not so good)!!! However, the set menu at 22 euros includes 6 Huitres (Oysters) to start, 2 Sole Meniere with Chips, (well I am British so..........) and the table bread is soft and delicious. The establishment is used to us 'Brits' so they...

I arrived in Ouistreham after an overland trip from the South of France, because all flights had been grounded by a Traffic Controllers' strike. I chose the restaurant in this hotel because the menus were well priced and were attractive. For €14.50 I had an excellent 3course menu which was well accompanied by a house wine carafe, also not expensive....

I have stayed here four times in the last six months, twice on my own and twice with my wife. It is a traditional Bar/Brasserie/Small family Hotel, which used to be so common in France. It is very conveniently located to the Ferry Port, parking outside and across the road in the Car Park( mind the lorries when crossing the...

We've stayed for the weekend with friends and although it's not very knew it is very clean and staff is welcoming. It's also very well placed, easy to find and although in front of the main road the rooms are very quiet.

My husband stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks after our plan of going to Brittany fell through. Mr and Mme Raffe were wonderful and very welcoming and kind to us. Special mention to William (Guillaume), their senior staff person, who was kind and very helpful. Made our time in Ouistreham most enjoyable and we would not hesitate to go...

I stayed at the Hotel Du Phare this summer, with my husband and 2 children, the night before catching the early ferry back to Portsmouth. We were greeted by extremely friendly staff on our arrival. We had a family room with 2 double beds, whic was clean and spacious. The shower was excellent, which is always important, and the beds...

I have stayed in this hotel many times over the past 10 years, the owners and staff are fantastic. The owners Martine and Gerard and family have a very warm welcome for everyone, any D-Day veterans are treated with upmost respect and are like family.
