Would be very hard to find a lot of fault with this hotel however, this is a review based on our stay.

We booked with Jet2 and to be honest, I probably should have done a bit more homework. On arrival, we were allocated a basic room which is exactly what we paid for. When we went to the room I was very unhappy with it. It was on the first floor had no balcony and was above the smoking and café area.

Went straight down to reception and asked if there was any possibility of a move only to be told that that is what a basic room offers no balcony and no guaranteed allocation for a sea view. I explained that I wasn’t particularly bothered about sea view but we were staying 11 nights and therefore really needed a balcony. Was told that the hotel was completely full and there would be very little chance of another room, but by the time we got back up to the first floor, the phone rang and they had found a room with a balcony at a cost of €165 euros.

We agreed to the additional cost, and were very grateful to Anna on reception who sorted this out for us.

The hotel is not a four star but a very good three star. It’s rated as a four star because it has spa facilities. I would say it’s like a good Premier Inn.

The hotel is spotless clean, and we had fresh towels daily and clean bedding throughout the duration of our 11 night stay.

Only negative with our upgraded room was the shower was over the bath and I would have preferred a walk in shower. The bath was quite small and difficult to climb into if you are short like me. Luckily, there was a grab rail.

This is definitely a stopover hotel and perfect for a short stay. It has a lot of tour bus trips that stay one or two nights.

Breakfast was excellent, something for everyone. On busy days when the coaches are in the food goes quickly but it’s replenished just as quickly.

We also ate there on an evening a few times and it is buffet style. Something for everyone.

The hotel has no pool but does have a bathing area on the 5th floor with comfy sun beds and a jacuzzi. We used this area when the weather was good rather than the beach to the left of the hotel.
Beach area is not great it is a mixture of small stones, grass and paved areas.

Omis is a beautiful little town and the hotel is a stones throw away from the old town area where there are plenty of restaurants. There are boat trips and other activities depending on how active you are.

It is also approximately 12 miles outside Split but it is so easy to get into on the bus that stops just a little up the road from the hotel.

I would stay here again, but only if I was doing a short trip and passing through, and I would also recommend it.

I really liked the Hotel Plaza, especially because of the very good staff. Reception, food, service and room cleaning, the friendliness, helpfulness and customer orientation is excellent. The food at the buffet tastes very good every day. There is something for every taste!
The room (premium sea view) is nice and big, modern large bathroom, large balcony, always clean. Everything gives a relatively newly renovated impression.
On the 1st floor there is a wellness center, which I can also highly recommend.
The location just 20m away from the beautiful, well-kept beach with several cocktail bars and just a few steps from the city center and the great views of the river mouth is great!
All in all, a wonderful vacation there, highly recommended.

Lovely, modern clean hotel with exceptional, friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is situated right next to the beach which is clean and has several well priced beach bars all along it. We had a premium room and the view from the balcony was lovely. The breakfast is very well presented and has a huge choice. Seating for meals is spacious and well attended by staff for plate clearing. Sun beds for the outside area are available as are beach towels that can be collected from reception. The town is very nice, very clean and the old town area is beautiful. There is plenty to do if you want boat rides, tours etc however, also sitting drinking at the town bars/cafes is relaxing. We took a day trip to Split, which due to traffic took over an hour and a half. It was heaving and although Split was very nice, it was a nightmare getting there. Please DO NOT use the bus service provided by Promet Makarska. Awful service, late, very poor driving and a total disregard for passengers. (See my review). You’re better off taking the 60 bus or an Uber. We ate out every night and the food we ate was very good and very well priced. Lots to choose from. A very good week away in a lovely little, historic town on the Adriatic.

This was our third time in Omiš and at Hotel Plaza, we absolutely love this place! All the staff are fantastic and always make us feel so welcome, from reception, restaurant to the outside cafe bar. There are too many to mention everyone individually, but a special mention for Marina, she always greets us with a smile and makes time for a quick chat even when she is super busy!
We always go half board and it is really good value. The food is always fresh and hot and the restaurant is kept spotlessly clean. We cannot recommend this hotel enough and looking forward to returning soon.

Visited in October 2024. Room in itself was perfectly pleasant, large and comfortable. Paid extra for a sea view which was not worth it, as along with the sea view came constantly annoying noise from a playground right in front.

Although having great potential, this hotel has a lot to learn. Mainly, there needs to be a complete change in attitude from the staff (especially reception).
We found them robotic, really unfriendly, and at times almost hostile. This may be an anti-British thing or it could have been two men travelling together, we were left with the impression that it was both.

To a lesser extent, that was our feeling about Omis in general. So, we often caught the bus into Split where the experience was completely different and people had a normal air of friendliness about them.
Certainly, would not recommend this hotel to anyone and would definitely advise against for any LGBT travellers.
Great shame, beautiful country.

Dear Jean Claude , Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your recent stay at Hotel Plaža Omiš. We genuinely appreciate your comments, as they help us to understand the experiences of our guests and identify areas for improvement. We are pleased to hear that you found your room to be large, comfortable, and pleasant, although we regret that the sea view did not meet your expectations due to the noise from the playground. We are truly sorry that you felt the attitude of our staff was unfriendly and did not meet the level of service we aim to provide. Our team is trained to treat all guests with the utmost respect and hospitality, regardless of background or orientation. We are proud to share that 80% of our guests are from the UK, and we strive to make every guest feel welcomed and valued. This commitment is reflected in our consistently high ratings, with a score of 9.3 on Booking.com. To further address your concerns, we checked the guest comment section during your stay and did not receive any negative feedback that would have indicated any issues with individual staff members. In addition, we specifically reviewed the staff member who handled your check-in and check-out process. We can confirm that this receptionist is one of the best-rated members of our team, consistently receiving positive reviews from our guests. Nevertheless, we deeply regret that your experience did not reflect our usual high standard, and we will continue to address any concerns to ensure a better experience for all guests in the future. We also regret that your impression of Omis was not as positive as we would have hoped. We are committed to creating a welcoming atmosphere for all our guests, and your feedback will be taken into account as we continue to improve our guest experience. Once again, thank you for your feedback. We are committed to providing a welcoming atmosphere for all our guests, and we sincerely hope that you will consider giving us another opportunity in the future to restore your confidence in our hotel. Kind regards, Hotel Plaža Omiš

The hotel scores points with its unique location right on the beach and right next to the charming old town. All of the staff were very friendly, attentive and always looking after the guests. Rooms, restaurant, wellness area, in short, the whole hotel is very clean, there is always someone cleaning. The food is excellent, very varied, the buffet is always replenished so that everyone is full (even when three international football teams were staying at the hotel for a week :-). We have already been to the Plaza Omis twice and will definitely be back soon.

Loved this hotel, I travelled solo and felt really safe here. The breakfast choice was amazing no complaints here ! the dinner was delicious with lots of choice. The rooms were very clean and kept clean throughout my stay, I had a fridge and kettle in my room which were helpful. The beds were comfy, nice bedding and pillows. Black out curtains. I had a great sea view. There was shower gel provided and a great shower. No pool here but a beach just outside the hotel with a jacuzzi on the roof, I used this often after my long days ! Loved the views. There are sun beds up there too, would be nice if they could spruce it up a little up there as it’s a great space. I would definitely consider this hotel again. It was a great location for me, 1hr 10 to split avoid work times ! The bus is a 2 min walk. Nice restaurants in the town, walked up to the fort and travelled on the river, also went on a boat trip to brac from omis booked through the hotel as wasn’t overly priced.

One negative a barking dog ! Lives at the side of the hotel a private house, was a pain sometimes !

Hotel is located right at the town beach and minute from the old town. Perfect for adrenaline adventures on river Cetine. Good service, great selection of food for breakfast and dinner. Rooms vary a lot, so check what kind of room you are booking - some are very small and have no balcony, so drying off clothes after swimming is a bit of a problem. We were given 2 interconnected rooms with a separate corridor where we could leave our beach toys and shoes, so this configuration worked very well for our family

This is a lovely hotel in a great location. The hotel is very clean and the staff are friendly. We stayed half board. The food was excellent with a great choice for both breakfast and dinner. We caught the number 60 bus 4 euros each way into the beautiful city of Split and also a boat ride up the Cetina river 10 euros. Sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach are between 7 to 10 euros each.

It was the bet hotel I have even been so far.
It is easy to get from the airport to the hotel just by the bus. I took bus number 37 from airport Split to the main station in split and then bus number 60 to omis. It was like 4 minutes walking from the station to the hotel.
When we arrived we got one free voucher for dinner at the hotel. It was nice surprise, the dinner was excellent, we could chose from loads of different kind of food, from chicken to fish, different salads, lasagnas, pastas, pizzas, vegetables.
The room was super clean. It was first time when I arrive somewhere and I didn’t have this urge to clean everything before I use for example a shower or a toilet. The airco is working very good. There’s small fridge, towels, shower gel, soap. The stuff is very friendly. Finally when we didn’t ask for the room cleaning, nobody did it (I had it a lot of times when I hung the note “don’t disturb” somebody was walking in and cleaning anyway..)
There’s jacuzzi at the hotel.
Drinks and desserts are at the bar, prices are good, quality of the drinks are really great.
Behind the hotel there is a beach with a bit sand on it, couple of bars so you can every time sit at the different place.
It was very quiet at the hotel, specially in the night.
I would really recommend this hotel to everyone, I am so glad I could come here!
