Super helpfull staff, and they upgraded our rooms beacuse they had empty rooms. Clean and roomy, and the pool was nice touch. Breakfest was also great. Staff was also super helpfull with our car problems. The village seemed nice and it was a shame we did not have more time to explore.
Everything was great. The restaurant and the rooms were very clean. The food was amazing, you have a varied choice of meat and fish. The beach is only 2 minutes from the hotel and there wasn't a problem with parking. We can't wait to see you again!
Stayed here back in August 2018 and I loved it, location was perfect, breakfast was great, and all the staff was so sweet- Lovre is very accommodating and want's the best for his guests! I meant to write a review and never got to it and felt bad because the experience was beyond excellent. If I ever return to Baska Voda I will definitely stay here again! Hope everyone is staying safe.
· The dirt was everywhere – the sofa in the living room was full of stains, the coffee table had steel lines and on both sides of the lines there was awful, old dirt like sticky mud, the wallpaper was unsticking from the walls, there was dust on the furniture. In the bedroom, in the upper corner there were also stains, maybe after the fight with fungi. In the bathroom, there was a hot tub, so there were many holes for bubbles, all covered with abounded amount of scale. On the terrace of the apartment intended for a whole family or a group of friends there was only one plastic deckchair. But, there were also four chairs and a table made of metal, all rusty. So, we could not use them to save our clothes from the rust. The cleaning lady came to the apartment every day, without even asking if we wanted her. What was awful, she touched and folded our underwear. I think it was not necessary to make the beds. She could just fold the linen and correct the pillows. The hygine level was tragic. The waiters were constantly moving cars in their extremely tight car park, and then they were rushing to bring food, without washing hands. They served bottle beer out of date. Finally, they charged us with 700 HRK for their damaged arm-lock. The employee who showed us the apartment was in a hurry because he could not park his car in a narrow street for long. So, he opened the door, showed us the flat very quickly. However, we noticed that he hesitated opening the outside door to the terrace. He must remember this. The arm-lock must have been in a poor condition because it did not operate smoothly. When we tried to close the door at night because of strong wind, the arm-lock fell off and they blamed us for the damage.…
Villa Palloma is an excellent hotel for people traveling by car in Croatia. We stayed here as a base to travel to/from Split and Dubrovnik. Wise decision, the hotel accommodations in Dubrovnik are extremely expensive and you hardly get your moneys worth! Parking is a nightmare etc. Ditto in Split. We arrived late and the hotel owner was there to guide us, help with the luggage and even parked the car. He kept the car keys in case our car needed to be moved (parking lot was full). Breakfast was awesome, the hotel very clean and service like no other place, maybe home. Highly recommend. Be aware that if you travel by car to Dubrovnik you will be asked for your passport as you cross the border to Bosnia-Herzegovina and back.
Had a fantastic stay at this lovely family owned hotel. We were met in the car park as we arrived, checked in quickly and our luggage carried to our rooms. These were modern, well equipped with kitchenette and furnished balcony with sea view. Beds were comfortable and everywhere was spotlessly clean. Bathrooms were also modern with good walk in showers. We ate in the restaurant each evening and food was exceptional. Service was also really good and there is a very wide menu choice for half board guests. There are two small pools with sunbeds, one is heated and jacuzzi style. There is no lift in the hotel so could be difficult to negotiate the steps to the rooms and also to the pool area. Wi-fi worked well, occasionally lost signal. Location is good, quiet area but only 5 minutes to beach and seafront area. It was lovely to stay here, we were made to feel most welcome and wouldn’t hesitate to return. Value for money was excellent, would highly recommend.…
Our Party of 7 arrived in Baska Voda not knowing what to expect. We were greeted by the Owner of Villa Palloma who was simply amazing. We were shown to and settled in to our accommodation by the owner and his father who were just the most amazing people! The three bedroom apartment in the Annex was superb - very clean and tidy with all the ammenities you would need for the week including internet, safe, bathroom in each room and a lovely balcony overlooking the majestic mountain ranges in Baska Voda and heading to Makarska. Breakfast was provided daily and the food was very good. I was very sad to leave and I have vowed to come back again to this wonderful place. Thank you Villa Palloma for everything .
We were a 5 minute walk to the beach and so many restaurants. The rooms were clean and view lovely from the room and quaint size Paul on the roof. The restaurant food was very fresh, especially the honey from the honeycomb. The best part was the family owners. When we asked if we could order from the hotel restaurant, which did not promote room service, and eat on our terrace, not only did they say yes, the family personally delivered each course to our room. It was all delicious and an enchanting evening.
We so enjoyed our 6 night half board stay at Villa Palloma. Passing it, we might not have given it a second glance but it's a very friendly, clean hotel, brilliantly run by owner with care to detail. The food was very well cooked and the variety, especially the breakfasts, excellent. Particular food requirements were carefully discussed and implemented. We enjoyed the 2 small pools at the back, which had sea views, but would say they are not recommended for children. Baska Voda very nice resort but good to be just a leisurely 10 minuet walk from the busy beach front bars and restaurants.
This is a nice little hotel with good location and friendly service. The room was ok and the small pools were ok and the breakfast was ok. The only reason why I am giving this place a 3 is that it was a bit costly for this type of a small place but we did of course visit during the peak month. So I have nothing negative to say about this place but as I always rate based on value-for-money factor, a 3 is the highest I can go here. I could visit here again but never during the peak month (August), the beach was packed with tourists!
