Five of us stayed here last year and we are going back again this year. We had a wonderful time and it suited all three generations. Pool for the children and close to the beach, sun terrace for the mums with a bar serving cocktails and shade for nan to read and relax. We had a two room apartment with two balconies and amazing views. Over looking the sun terrace and the sea, excellent to sit out in to catch the last slice of sun. Staff were friendly and welcoming and rooms were always kept clean. If you don't want a tourist trap and want to enjoy the real Croatia this is the perfect place it's a bit further to drive from the airport (about 90 mins) but so worth it. I left Croatia loving the place the people and the cuisine and am going back this year for longer to see more of the islands close by.

Hotel Conte is 50m from the beach of Promanija. The hotel has own parking place, so the car can be left in safe. The rooms are clean (we used two rooms). The staff are very friendly, speak English. They could handle some special needs for the meal (gluten and lactose free) some time they cook meal for us. However the breakfasts and the dinners was tasty, and various.
Really suggested for a beach holiday!
In 1 km you can find some lovely small lagunas with rocks. They are excellent for swimming or snorkeling.
The main beach has some water sports facilities eg. parasailing, jet ski.

This is classed as a 4* hotel well the food is no where near this standard. No fruit or toast available at breakfast, evening meal was served luke-warm or cold (especially the soup of which you had no choice) on 2 nights dessert was a slice of water melon. The Hotel itself is nice, its clean, nice relaxing areas, small but adequate pool, lovely large terrace with comfortable seating. The rooms were adequate although not always cleaned properly. On all the websites it is claimed all rooms are seaview overlooking Brac Island, this is not true, we were land view overlooking apartments and mountain at the back of the hotel, it is also not on the beach, you have to walk down a concrete road through waste land, which is used as a car park during the day, and over a small road at the bottom to reach the very rocky beach( you need something on your feet to be able to go on the beach).It is a nice area to visit though a quieter part of Baska Voda with plenty of nice bars and restaurants, seems to be the local resort for eastern Europe, mainly Czechs, Poles, Russians, Croats, though English is widely spoken and understood. All in all nice resort, Hotel definitely not 4* though the 3 young people running it did their best and were friendly though a bit out or their depth.

The personnel in restaurant were unwilling and extremely unprofessional.
The food was special story. The offer for breakfast was completely the same every morning – the cheapest groceries (salami, cheese, yogurts and other) that you can find on the market. Furthermore, always was something lacking and guests had to ask for it (plates, cups, glasses, cheese, salami…). If there was a coffee (often cold!) in thermos bottles, there were no cups, and vice versa. Only in this 4**** hotel we had to pay for cocoa during breakfast. Dinner was a completely disaster and even though we had paid 7 half boards, we cancelled dinner after 3 days. During breakfast you have to choose and circle on the paper between 3 or 4 main courses you would like to eat for dinner. For example, one day the offered menu was the following: stew with pork and green beans, risotto with zucchini, meat dumplings in tomato sauce with mashed potato, stew (brudet) of mackerel. Onion soup, mushroom soup, some concentrate soup, were served as warm appetizer…. Two evenings we had watermelon for dessert, and the third evening form cake (bought in store!). Even if we neglect so poor food offer for 4****, we cannot ignore not enough cooked and distasteful meals (evident problem with the cook), questionable cleanness of dishes and unprofessional behaviour of the personnel. Everything in this hotel looks cheap and poor.
We had double bedroom on northern side and it was extremely small with very little free space. Shutters on the window cannot be opened.
The only positive thing about this hotel is its positions – near the beautiful beach.
This hotel definitely does not deserve 4**** - maybe 2**.

Service top quality. Rooms are clean. Food is excellent. A beautiful view of the Adriatic sea from balcony. Beach and restoraunts are near the hotel. Everything was great. Thanks a lot. We are coming back next year.

This was the most terrible hotel of our Journey trough croatia. At arrival we had to wait for like 10 minutes (no bell to ring) before someone demotivated came to the reception. The hotel itself is verry nice. The location is perfect acording to the beach. But the staff is verry demotivated and dont want to help you. Breakfast is simple and every morning the same.
If the staff would be kind it will be a 3 star hotel for now it is a 2 star hotel. I dont know why it's rated as 4 stars.
The price is to much for what you get.

We stayed in this hotel 11 days, thinking we will be placed in 4**** hotel but everything was below 2** hotel service. The owner organized dinner for the guests but he invited also local politic people. Glorifying them he totaly ignored guests so we were waiting for a dinner from 8p.m until 11:30p.m and we gave up, none of personal was not even excuse. Service in this hotel is terrible, unpolite and unproffesional. For the breakfast you can choose same thing every morrning most probably bought in supermarket near by. They serve for breakfast juice sirup mixed with water ( 4**** hotel). Swimming pool is mostly dirty. However don't throw your money, if you want to visit Makarska riviera any hotel with 2** will be better option than Hotel Conte in Promajna. The only good thing with this hotel is position near beach. Advice: Avoid this hotel

Very bad hotel. Very bad food. Very bad staff. We booked rooms with Seaview and paid for them extra money but when came here we got a small room with windows overlooked other apartment. So we had to keep the curtains closed.
The rooms was dirty, The hall was dirty. Meals were tasteless without any choice, Internet was too slow.
I do not recommend this hotel to anybody

We stayed here this summer. The hotel is very nice. Our room was on first floor...great size and very clean. Bathroom is also clean and spacious. Meals was various and quite good. The staff were friendly and helpful. All obligations are executed with a smile. If you travel with car, hotel offered free parking place for you. Hotel is located 1 minute walk distance from main beach. I would highly recommend hotel Conte.

Beautiful area of baskavoda, very relaxing, all Stoney beaches with plenty of shade from overhanging trees. So not for anyone who prefers sandy beaches.
Hotel very nice and clean and a great location, staff very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast, a little sparse and could do with better management, but having said that staff would provide you with any request. Enjoyed our stay and plan to go back in summer with young adult family.
