Stayed here with 4 kids and my wife, arrived midnight was given our keys and left to find our room on our own, cold welcome to say the least, we went on a self catering package but wanted to upgrade to all inclusive, the staff in the lobby was quite rude by saying you pay just as much as being self catering! Not the sort of response I was expecting. So didn’t get the upgrade in the end.. and I’m quite glad anyway as the catering was rubbish it was repetitive and not a wide variety of food to choose from, kids club absolute JOKE 2nd day in sent our four kids to the kids club about 30 mins later, my wife and I was only to find them all by our hotel and out of the kids club, yes what the hell, they let them all out bearing in mind they are 4/6/8/11 year old, so lucky we bumped into them all. Never went back in again from that day as couldn’t trust the safeguarding there! Big round of a clause to those in charge there wouldn’t recommend sending your kids there. Town 5 mins away on shuttle bus cost 2 lev per person again if you got kids make sure they don’t touch anything as they hate that.. hotel cleanliness wasn’t quite there either they only moped the floor and empty bins. Don’t like changing beds and putting clean sheets on. Lazy comes to mind. Not to put anyone off this place I just wouldn’t recommend this place With kids as can get a bit boring not much really to do. The best things I can say about this whole experience here was the water sports which was handy right on your door step and the beach. Oh ye btw plenty of jellyfish so be careful of those. As My oldest was stung by one. Jet ski was 80lev for 10 Mins. And transfer to airport was hilarious was picked up 20 mins late and it was a mini bus being towed by a trailer where all your luggage goes. Make matters worse the driver was dropping ppl Off at nearby hotels come on!!! We want to get the hell out of this place and don’t wanna miss flight, thank god we didn’t. If your thinking of going here maybe it’s best for a couple holiday that wants some peace and quiet and not do much at all..

We have spent a week at Obzor beach resort from 22nd August (family of 4 with two teenagers, 15 and 17 years old ) in All inclusive If you are booking this holiday thinking it is the typical All inclusive holiday you would normally book with TUI or Thomas Cook … think again! We found and purchased this holiday with “Love holidays” and we chose it on the understanding that it was like any other all inclusive hotel we have been in the past. Their website (love holidays) listed all the things that we want for the perfect time… all inclusive food and drinks, entertainment and activities All inclusive at Obzor beach resort only means you get A.I. food in the main restaurant and drinks are all inclusive in two of the four bars only (main buffet restaurant and bar open until 10pm only and the other bar at the opposite side of the resort only open until 6pm). Draught beer is lovely and after dinner drinks are ok (well we had g&t, their version of baileys and whisky). No glasses so everything is served in disappointing floppy plastic cups so use two if you don’t want them to fall out of your hands for better support. The other 2 restaurants onsite are a la carte where you pay although the reception told us you could use one of them per week pre-booking but tbh we found there’s lots of nice and tasty food in the buffet restaurant Nice salad buffet! In Bulgaria there’s an amazing red pepper and tomato paste that you will find with the crudités The resort seems like basically a time-share apartment complex where people can choose all different boarding options. Some of the apartments were for sale First time ever we never had problems having to get up early for sun beds as there are plenty around the five pools. There’s one heated pool and the others for some strange reason feel almost chilled! The hotel is literally situated on the beach which is wide and clean. If you choose to use sun beds there is a daily charge 😟 as these appear to be owned by another company so we didn’t bother There is very little entertainment at night. On two occasions we saw a singer in one of the a la carte restaurants in the early part of the evening and there is the mini disco for toddlers. By 9pm when the AI buffet restaurant closed it gets pretty quiet so we felt there was misrepresented by the Love holidays website. Throughout the day, although it says activities take place , I found them pretty poor to be honest. After a few minutes of activist if people weren’t joining in the animation team tended to give up and things faded away…. Overall it’s a nice resort with friendly helpful staff and great for a nice restful break for tired parents. We found the clientele to be mainly Eastern Europe but there were some from Western Europe too. We didn’t see many British families so my teenagers weren’t able to socialise as much as they would have liked. I would say that for me the most disappointing aspect of the hotel was the lack of cleaning of our apartment. Beach holidays inevitably mean sand gets brought into the apartment and no effort was made by housekeeping staff to clean. The two bathrooms and WCs we had were not cleaned during our one week stay toilets cleaned. I queried this with reception and they said this should not have happened (bad luck for us??) Be aware and maybe bring some of your own cleaning products? Kitchen was equipped with basic cutlery and cups however no tea towels or washing up liquid. If you use plates, cups and cutlery you are expected to wash up your own things so washing up liquid and sponge etc are a must. Cleaners don’t wash up or move anything. No snacks for hungry at all times during the day unlike most of the other AI hotels where we have been. They only add one extra hour for late breakfast and one for late lunch… so if you or your children are hungry throughout the day make sure you have your own snacks! Sad to see no chef cooking omelettes etc like in other hotels so some days you will find scrambled eggs some other days fried eggs or boiled eggs. We thought the bacon to be amazingly tasty if a little fatty! For the choice some would find it very repetitive but we were not fussed about it Most activities are to pay extra so this needs to be clear when you book all inclusive Hotel needs to improve ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ Cleaning in rooms ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ Entertainment for adults ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ Activities during the day Otherwise can be boring for a family We needed a doctor on site and that experience was made easy as the local one is willing to see you sending a car to pick you up at no charge within 5 min however if any treatment is needed you must pay the private service fee. It will save you a trip to Varna an hour away so make sure you have insurance as the health card from Europe won’t help in this case. Obzor Village is easy to reach. Lots of shops for tourists and restaurants to try at night with reasonable prices. Street music so that was nice for a change. To get to town there’s a Shuttle bus outside the hotel and runs every half an hour for 2 Lev (€1) per person each way. Or walk down the beach for 15/20 minutes apparently (we used bus only). there is a supermarket onsite with basic stuff and another one 3 min walk from resort. If you are going to book this hotel they have a really useful app which can be downloaded from the App Store and which contains lots of useful information. I was pleasantly surprised by Bulgaria, a nice green country and nice people but if I went back I would try a different hotel

A group of 4 went at the end of July start of August all inclusive. The hotel was beautiful and very big. It has around 7 pools and many blocks to stay in. The bonus is that there is a beach attached so you did not have to travel to one outside. Receptionist were extremely lovely and informed us of everything we needed to know. The room was spacious and had many utilities to use inside. The only downside to the room was that the shower did not drain properly so maintenance had to come everyday (not a massive issue). The food is mainly catered to eastern europeans and Middle Eastern palettes, which meant we had to try new things as we are from the UK. In the restaurant, there are many tables and chairs for different size parties. The staff are hardworking (especially bar staff) and are there whenever you need them. There are 2 restaurants in the resort that you have to pay for but they serve lovely food. The biggest thing that put the rating down are the holiday makers. We are a group of black individuals, and we knew going there we would get a few stares but, people were very rude snd hostile towards us which affected our stay. The location is good but quite isolated from other larger places like Sunny beach. It is about 40 minutes- 1 hour to get to Sunny Beach which costs around £60. Overall, this hotel is lovely and is ideal for a family holiday.

I have enjoyed my stay in this resort to the maximum. Friendly people, amazing animation and a fascinating beach. I've had an awesome time with the bartender Stan and with the head of animation Aurelia. I'd recommend some changes to the kitchen, but other than that I'll only have good memories from my stay at this hotel.

Arrived at midnight ,couldn’t even get a cup of tea .We we’re given our room numbers and left to find our rooms .We weren’t given any information whatsoever and no information in rooms .There was no toilet roll so had to knock on sons room for some .We had paid for bed and breakfast but only went down on the first morning ,not worth the walk ,big queues, didn’t even have any normal tea bags .,ended up buying bread and butter and having toast in our room .sometimes the bed was not made . Thought sunbeds on beach were for the guests but at a charge of 30 Bulgarian lev no thanks . Also have to pay fo safe in room As we had a late return flight we enquired about a late checkout ,no room available we were told .,my son his partner and grandaughter had to change and freshen up in the disabled toilet . Luckily a very nice Scandinavian couple let us use their apartment . Prime position on the beach ,and spacious apartments is all this resort has going for it

We have a lovely apartment, with two toilets!, right next to the pool as the photograph depicts. It is a large complex with multiple pools adjacent to a lovely sandy beach. The hotel is on the outskirts of the resort and a courtesy bus costs £1. to the centre. I wasn't aware that we would be self catering in an all inclusive hotel so am disappointed to find that we can't purchase a drink at our pool bar although we can a bit further along. The self catering facilities are very good however.

I would recommend this resort to every family with 1, 2, 3 or more children! The apartments are large, clean, most of them are quiet (except these, facing the pool bars) and you are just some steps away from very good and wide beach with a nice sand and large free zones (if you prefer umbrella with 2 sunbeds are 15 euro per day). The girls at Reception were helpful. The eating was much better than 5 years ago, but there are options for improvement in the variety of the meals. The chicken was not so good prepared almost every time. Some improvements must be done in the apartments cleaning part. The staff is insufficient and the cleaning time slot was between 1 and 3 PM which is unacceptable when you have small kids. The animation team was one of the most positive and impressive things in the resort! Marina, Aurelia and the boy (sorry, I forgot his name) were amazing with the kids, giving them a lot of smiles, dance music and a great time every evening at 8 PM. The boys and girls in the restaurant & bar Castello were very helpful, trying to give their best during the breakfast, lunch and dinner times. One of the best waiters were Rosi ( I think she was with duracell batteries :)) and Marian. I would like to mention the girl at the bar (forgot her name) and Kris. They both showed a great and professional attitude. The real estate director miss Antoaneta Yordanova is a lady with a lot of style and knowledge. She showed a professional attitude and was very helpful!

Great and very kind animation team, especially Aurelia and Todor. Nice and clean rooms and pools. The food was very delicious and not expensive. Beautiful beach. In the resort you can play minigolf, volleyball, go to the gym and do a lot of other activities.
