On arrival at 2am, greeted with a smile, and offer of refreshments and a seedy process. The room was fabulous, with a sea view and plenty of storage space, hangers etc. Restaurant have a varied menu, fresh food and great choices, not always expected on all inclusive. 2 themed restaurants and a snack bar - food pretty much available from 7.30 until 21.30. Bars were clean and tidy and well staffed, from the cocktails to the usual tipple, all good quality. The rooms were clean, the bed was really comfy and when there was an issue with the room, it was sorted immediately with an upgrade. Water for the room and pool towels available. The animation team kept us entertained and when it rained one day, went above and beyond to keep us busy. We went the first week of the season but the resort didn’t open properly before we left. Each day there was something new like a bar built on the beach. Will definitely go again, this time early September when it’s closing down but still busy. But if you like a quiet, none busy environment and not bothered about shops and bars out of the hotel, I cannot recommend this place enough. Even in peak season, I am sure there will be enough sun beds around the huge pool area or pop onto the beach as the hotel Is literally on it. The kids love the child’s pool with slides and waterfalls and there is always the jacuzzi or indoor heated pool if that’s what you fancy. There is even a gym to work off all the fabulous food and cakes.…
We have stayed in so many riu hotels as we usually love them. This is very poor in comparison. It is definitely not a platinum hotel. No mini bar, you have to pay for a safe. No sun beds on the beach. Food very average. Not what I have come to expect from a riu. Was totally disappointed in it. The showers were cold. Very very poor hotel. Would not come here again !!!!
We were on vocation in the end of August. The first impression was amazing. It was good price-quality comparison. The hotel is old but is well-kept. I think they kept swimingpool in good condition, the same inside like outside. Every day we did not have a problem finding any free sunbeds. There is a lot of space. The food was good, we love their fries and pizza. At the restaurant we found a lot of options on meal. To the last minutes chiefs made warm and fresh food. Summmary Good points: - all inclusive - cleaning room - clearl rules in hotel (bars opening hours) - the service good speak in english - the view on sea from room - near to beach - cameral city with quiet and calm area - warm water in sea - balkon in restaurant available for qests - 2 Extra options to Asian and spain cousine - big shower 😈 - a lot of animatons every day Bad points: - insects (but not too much) - dessers (too creamy) - cold water in swimingpool - broken iron…
The hotel is great. The room was great, clean, large, with two large beds, one for adults, one for our kids. The food – a lot and very various, fish, veal, pork, salads, pizza, everything you want. Free alcoholic drinks included in the all-inclusive plan. The downside is that free alcohol makes a lot of people get drunk even before mid-day. Pools inside and outdoor. We visited in early May, so it was not that crowded yet, it’s probably much more crowded during peak season. We canceled our last night because it was pretty rainy and our little kid started to cough. They were so nice as they refunded us money for the last night. Thanks!
We are here now for the 3rd time . The hotel ist excellent, the beach beautifull and the staff very friendly Kalina, Vinci, Radko ....but for the return guests-nothing special. No "welcome again" , nothing ...sad ..but we enjoy our holiday ❤️.
I can recommend this hotel for 100t %hotel. !!!! We stayed from 4 June to 12 June 2021 The best drinks were served !!! Good food I can say the BEST food forever!! Iam sure we will come back again to this hotel next summer.
Where should I start? PARKING - there is no such thing. A 4-star hotel built from scratch apparently, didn’t think about building a private parking lot. You basically park in front of the hotel, if you can find a spot free. If not, up to you to figure it out. That’s not so annoying, but with the amount of bird s**t every day, your car will need a new paintjob after a few days here. I understand why it is like that. The whole hotel is built around the idea of getting buses (and planes) full of german tourists - that couldn’t care less about the parking. The walls are adorned with the “top quality” ratings from TUI - a travel agency that caters to groups. So if traveling on your own, look elsewhere. STAFF ATTITUDE - rude from the get-go. They say they speak english but it’s more like sign language. They do speak german (of course!!!) and bulgarian, and probably russian because why not? Whenever we asked for something, the answer was always no. On the last day of the trip, the maids were knocking at the door since 7AM, just to make sure we were leaving and not interfering with their busy schedule. When we arrived, because it was around 11:45 AM, we couldn’t check in. That is understandable, I know the official check-in time. I asked if they could give us a room because the kid was crying. Initially they said to wait for 1 hour. When I go check after 1h 10 mins, the other receptionist said a hard “after 2PM” (in another hour). You draw the conclusions HOTEL AMENITIES - they try to heat the pool water but they fail miserably. Almost every single day the water in the sea was warmer (even at 8AM). To stick with the pool stuff, the kids one has 3 water slides, and an umbrella-shaped water fountain. Because of the way they are built only 2 slides were usable. The others were pouring water and it made it really difficult to enjoy. Also, the main squid slide has some very slippery tiles, kids were falling every day, including my own. Every day. Still, the “lifeguard” would watch from 3 meters away and not lift a finger (or a mop) to do something. Because if it’s a cracked skull instead of drowning, it’s not his thing right? Also, I don’t know who was the genius that decided the placement of the pools. Daily schedule for pools is 8:00 - 18:00. Only that the kids one goes into shade at 16:00 and it gets really chilly. That, plus the cold pool water and the other hazards, well, you do the math. There is a store on premise, from which you can buy stuff (premium brands like coca-cola :| - I’ll come to that in a second), but bring cash. They don’t take cards and you can’t charge it to the room. The guy there is very nice though, and he’ll take your word for it if you don’t have cash but will bring it the next day. Really, the only friendly face, and probably not even part of the official hotel staff. ROOM - the bed was big enough and really comfortable. Honestly, the only reason why this is not a 1-star review. Read on. The minibar was completely empty, so their idea of an all-inclusive kinda eludes me. Plus, they want to charge you extra for the safe ??? Hello, hotel management? 1990 called, they want their policies back. Also, what kind of 4-star hotel offers no cotton buds/pads, no slippers, no bathrobes?? This was shocking. Also, to put it into perspective, they give you a shower gel/shampoo (cause of course it’s 2-in-1) dispenser!!!! Again, not surprising if it were a 2-3 star hotel. But come on! As well, no napkins. Not in the bathroom, not in the room. Apparently not even in the restaurant. So bring your own. Or buy, whichever floats your boat. FOOD & RESTAURANT - absolutely awesome - if you compare it to a dirt-cheap canteen from a movie depicting the 80’s. For everyone else, the food was horrible. Don’t believe the other reviews, I have the details to prove it. Every single dish I tried was too salty! From meat to basic omelette, too much salt. Then again, I understood why there weren’t any salt & pepper on the tables ?! Also you were entitled to one napkin. For the rest you’d have to ask the staff. Food was predominantly german cuisine (with their würsts in all shapes and sizes) with a few things I didn’t get: 1. there were no hash browns at breakfast but they did have it once at dinner. 2. There were french fries served at every meal, incl breakfast ?!. Again maybe that’s typical in Germany? Also, a funny thing happened. A kid threw up some food in the middle of the hallway. That vomit sat there for the whole duration of my lunch. In the context of covid, this is a serious mistake. If you don’t get what I’m talking about, google how the first sars-cov virus started in a hotel with someone vomiting, etc. Also, still on the hygiene front, if you require me to wear gloves when touching food, why do the staff not use gloves themselves? Are they exempt from a disease? Desserts: awful, a bunch of chocolate and fruit mousses, and roulades, and generally things you could do quickly and in large quantities. Drinks - diluted coke and no-brand alcohol. Only at certain times when the bars would be open. Coffee - cheapest kind from a vending machine. I booked this hotel last-minute after canceling another reservation at the Premier Fort Beach in Sveti Vlas. If you’re traveling with kids, go to Sveti Vlas or Sunny Beach. Obzor is for the retired germans who don’t care what type of beer they drink or if the hotel has a parking lot. Another small plus: the beach. But unfortunately, the hotel can’t take any credit since it’s not theirs. Never to return again!…
It was my 5th time here in the last 6 years. I would come here every year Cool staff, almost the same people all these years ( that must mean they should be happy with their jobs, too), warm. Even in the rough situation now with this SARS-Cov-2 flying around, my vacation was splendid. Everything is very clean(room, hotel, restaurant, pool, beach, you name it), meals are rich and menus are changed daily. This year we had wifi in the room, too, not only in the lobby(password is available in the lobby, single pwd for all guests). Not related to the hotel, you should not be upset that you might see people not respecting some basic rules like: do not lock a seat at the pool if you’re not going to use it much, don’t show up in shorts at dinner(men), use mask over nose and mouth, use gloves offered by the restaurant when picking up your food. Over all, we had a splendid vacation, for the 5th time here. We would come here all the time, we all love this hotel, not even considering to change it…
We stayed here last August for 7 nights. We were worried about going all inclusive as we had never done it before but there was plenty of choice, the food was lovely and they had different choices each of the days that we were there. The pool was large and was lovely, a few reviews mention about the pool being freezing but I thought it was lovely to get into a cold pool to cool down in such hot weather. The rooms are big and very clean and the shower is a walk in shower and was lovely. We are looking forward to staying here again on august, we like to travel and very rarely stay in the same hotel twice but this was by far the nicest that we have stayed in. I would also recommend a visit to Serenity beach bar if you are staying in Obzor, it is a lovely chilled out bar on the beach and they serve the nicest cocktails!…
To be honest we were not expecting the Ritz considering what we paid for the holiday however we were very pleasantly surprised, The Rom which we had upgraded was very spacious and was always maintained in a clean & tidy state by the maids and the view from the balcony was fabulous. There was aleways plenty of choice at the Buffet Breakfast with both numerous hot & cold dishes available. Buffet lunch was for us just a salad and we did not eat in the Buffet in the evening as we chose to eat in the Spanish & Asian restaurants most nights which were both excellent although they could have changed the menu on occasions. The staff were very helpful and friendly. My only complaint would be that the water in the pool was absolutly freezing and so I only went in there a couple of times. Overall excellent value for money …
