A family group of 8 adults and 4 children . We stayed for a week at Blue Magic Hotel at beginning of July 22 The hotel is situated between hills and sea.. We had a mixture of room types, all spotless and plenty of room all with spacious balconies. The hotel spotless, a large choice of food for every meal . Large quantity of spirits in every drink . Entertainment Staff were excellent and the children loved them. Hotel staff all lovely and friendly. Town is short taxi ride with lots of shops and pla es to eat. A visit to Neesebar Water Park is worth while and lots of fun had by all ages, with plenty of different level rides a d lots of choice for food. Would highly recommend and can't wait to go back

Really really loved our holiday. We have just arrived home and I could not say enough good things! The food was great and the buffet very filling. The pool cools you right down which you need as it's very warm during the day. By the end of the week I was pretty much on first name terms with most of the entertainment team. They really made the holiday special for us and they are constantly putting on fun activities and events. We spoke with them every day. The children we took loved them as well and they did plenty for us adults as well. Love you all Blue Magic. I've also still got all the songs stuck in my head! Craig

We are just back from our 2 weeks all inclusive stay with our 2 young kids. I’ll start with the positives. Rooms are great, always clean with superb air con and great sized bathroom. The pool area is huge and perfect for families. Always plenty sun beds. The slides for kids are awesome as well. Beach right on site very good also. Now the improvements needed : the food was basically the same thing every day for lunch and dinner which after 1 week was just sickening to eat, not a great range for kids not even a burger or chicken nuggets. Very little activities during the day. On my 2 week stay there was 2 games of darts and 1 volleyball game. Now the main negative for us was very little entertainment at evening time. When you’ve been looking after kids all day you just want to have dinner, get a table have some drinks and enjoy some entertainment, but literally nothing at night. There’s always a mini disco but no songs in English whatsoever ( very little British in hotel ) so we ended up most nights in obzor just to even hear some music. No tables at stage, literally nothing at evening time which was just a massive disappointment for us parents. Overall I would not stay at this hotel again BUT a couple of improvements on food and entertainment during day and night could easily change this.

Bathroom was perfect great large shower fairly modern looking. Bedroom maids was great. Shop in hotel was reasonably priced good variety of European drinks and snacks. Shuttle bus in to obzor town was very cheap and ran every hour up until 10pm which was great. Hotel was on the beach with free sun loungers the beach bar was free for inclusive guests. Food at this hotel could do with some improvements what we had for lunch was the same as we got again for dinner every food item on the menu was cold. Kids was running riot in this hotel parents letting children just grabbing plates and throwing them, children using scooters in the restaurant and driving in to people whilst carrying there food. Also evening times one staff member on the bar with ques like you can’t imagine all for a drink but other non British guests don’t like to que and just push in. One bar man young lad short hair usually wears a white shirt and black tie was great (throwing ice in cups) having a laugh and a joke but unfortunately very rushed off his feet as he was the only one on the bar most nights. Recommend improvements: •switch up the food variety’s (more variety for kids/fussy eaters) •more entertainment for the kids as they was bored (Games in the pool, face painting, arts and crafts, bean bag tossing, or evening shows like karaoke, magicians or musical chairs) •tidy up the pool area remove the weeds etc

Just back from 2 weeks in this hotel. The hotel is lovely, modern and clean. The taxi from airport was very uncomfortable no radio, no communication not a word of English. Not the hotel’s fault. The negatives: the staff were so grumpy and showed no effort to help in anyway. The food was plentiful but always lukewarm or cold. The Lobby Bar was way too small for the size of the hotel. Always a queue and with the exception on one of the bar men with the black shirt the others didn’t care if they served you or not. On several occasions the gas was gone on the beer but they couldn’t be bothered to change it . The same with the soft drinks machine, it broke down at least three times during our stay. On one occasion we were served gin and WATER not tonic. Could you believe that staying in hotel for two weeks and not one staff bothered to say morning or everything alright? When we were leaving the manager was on reception and even he hadn’t the business sense to say good bye or thanks for visiting etc. Now the staff uniforms! With the exception of reception their shirts were a disgrace . White/grey cream never ironed , disgusting. It rained at least 8 out of the 14 days you would think that the small bar in dining room would have opened to accommodate people inside as only maybe six couches in lobby bar and a few tables and chairs. The weather is out of hotel’s control but how they treat their staff isn’t. With nothing else to do in the area you would expect them to put on something to entertain guest in rain.

After 3 years of waiting for a holiday because of covid, we were not dissapointed. We had read lots of negative reviews about the hotel mainly from Romanians. We think that they must have visited a different hotel. both me and my partner are disabled, we can walk but not to far we both struggled with some things ie:- the height of bed, height of chairs in Lobby bar but we overcame them. Possitives . The hotel was clean and welcoming. . All staff were excellent (Reception, Bar Staff, Pool area staff, Cleaners & the Entertainment team) . Food was great with lots of choice, hot and very tasty. . Our room was spacious, with an excellent pool & Black Sea view from the balcony. bathroom/shower room was very large and always kept very clean. . Bars, The Lobby bar was great but a tad small and always queues for drinks Staff there were doing a great job. Pool bar again for size of hotel was small and could have done with more staff but the staff on here were great and worked as fast as they could it could have done with opening later in evening to take strain off lobby bar, The beach bar was good to but again could have been open longer hours. . Pool was great for me as I am disabled and have balance issues, there was a gentle slope into pool. I went in a few times everyday. I used my walking stick till waist deep then left it on the side. . Sunbeams, plenty of them but far to low for me. I stacked 5 onto of each other so I could get off them, pool guys would separate them at night and I would do same again next day till pool guy came over and we explained so they were left 5 high for rest of our holiday. Negatives . Mostly because of my condition, could have been a grab rail in shower. . Bed although a Superking size could have been6 inches higher ( I did ask reception, they added a mattress topper but could have done with another mattress). . Seating in lobby bar all far to low for me, there were a few barstools so I sat there if one vacant. . Queuing at the bar, not a problem but our first week there were many arrogant Romanian families who would just push to front. . Dining area, there were lots of children running everywhere and with people carrying hot food it's just a accident waiting to happen. . Entertainment was not for me but the team were excellent with the children. My partner is Lithuanian and spoor Russian so we got to meet a very nice member of the team Nikita from the Ukraine.

This hotel was one of he best I’ve been to. Just me and my 8yr old granddaughter for a week. Staff were friendly and eager to help. Regular mini bus 2lev each to local town and bus connections to Sunny Beach 8 lev each. Hotel was clean with plenty variety of food in the restaurant 3 times a day with food and drink available outside. Private beach with security also on the entrance to the hotel. Rooms cleaned every day also water topped up in mini fridge. Has free safe, air con and fabulous scenery from every balcony. There’s a Aqua Park 25lev each owned by neighbouring hotel. Recommend you look at the shoots before paying to ensure they are suitable. Only criticism is that the kids club was not inviting. Entertainment staff did not cater for all ages which was disappointing. Also there was no evening entertainment. However this might improve during the high season. Would definitely book again! Recommend a trip to Old Nesebar.

Just returned home from a week at the sunrise blue not so magic and can honestly say full of promise but a total let down, first the good, huge room, fantastic walk in shower, big pool, great beach, now the bad, firstly our main complaint was I emailed the hotel on 2 separate occasions to ask about food labelling and allergies as my wife is coeliac and twice I had the reply from the manager “all our dishes are clearly labelled with any of the relevant ingredients such as peanut, wheat, fish ect” and low and behold nothing apart from the pizza and pasta containing wheat’ nothing on sauces , dessert ect, the food is very much the same for lunch and dinner but a good choice but usually cold, the coffee machines are a complete joke and as with all the drinks seem to run out on a regular basis, the bars especially the main lobby bar had large queues and often a 15 minutes wait, the pool area is large but never cleaned and large weeds growing in the tiles, the only evening entertainment was a game of bingo and karaoke on the last night, trying to get a seat in the lobby bar was difficult after 8pm and when we did get one it would be covered in spilt drinks and empty glasses, the 20 minutes walk to ozbar was not recommended as pavements were shocking but for 2 lev each way the shuttle bus was fantastic, the kitchen and bar staff work long hours so it’s no wonder the don’t smile

After reading the reviews I was unsure what to expect. I do think some of the reviews are a little harsh. The Hotel was fine, lots of improvement with some services needed. The room was clean and fresh towels everyday. The maids are a credit to the hotel. The reception staff were very friendly. The bar was extremely understaffed and they really need to learn to smile. I dread to think whats its like when its full season as it so tiny and not much room to sit ! would be a lot better if they had a self serve for soft drinks and coffee as queued for 30 mins just to get 2 soft drinks. The restaurant was ok, clean and tidy. The food was ok and catered for most people. They did run out of clean cups and glasses every night. The review about the coffee in the restaurant are correct, it is shocking ! but the cappuccinos at the bar are good. We did notice bits of rubbish outside which was there for several days. The pools are great and the kids had great fun on the slides. word of advice for the little pool it has a very rough surface and it was making children's feet very sore. so wear swim shoes if you can. The kids club was a big disappointment, The entertainment staff were lovely but the club only had a few broken toys, paper and crayons. Nothing else at all even though they advertised different activities they didn't have any materials to do them. Had a message at the spa by Roxanne which was out of this world and would highly recommend. Great prices.. worked out to be £34 for a full body massage. The town is about a 20 min walk, nice little town with some shops and a few restaurants. I personally would not go back to this hotel and i don't think it is a 4 rating at all. more a 3. The only other thing I found at the hotel was there are a lot of other foreign nationals and they were all pretty miserable. You could spot the British as all friendly !! especially when it rained as we were all still out by the pool.

Hotel communal areas and room where exceptionally clean and modern best I’ve ever stayed in for price I payed. Poolside area is looking a bit shabby, weeds growing through tiles everywhere, I had a room overlooking pool and beach and not once did I see the loungers stacked and floor hosed down, cleaners would descend on area every morning with mops to mop parts that had spillages etc, therefore ants was everywhere and into everything. Every 2x poolside loungers had there own umbrella with a tray attached to hold cups, food, creams etc but these where covered in everything from bird poo to food and drinks a sticky mess as never cleaned either so really unable to use, ants used as a buffet. Shame really as the pools and slides are brilliant and modern but in desperate need of some TLC. 5x Cabanas poolside 50 Lev about £23 a day with bowl of fresh fruit and a jug of something to drink, don’t waste your money, cabanas have stained mattress, ripped and stained insect covered curtains, 2 of them sat on own wooden slatted base which are overgrown with weeds, I tried out without paying for an hour on 1st day and last day and the situation never changed, in my opinion they should be removed and replaced with covered areas for older kids games. I can’t comment on beach cabanas at 60 Lev as these weren’t set up at time of my stay. Staff in particular 2 bar staff of about 5 that I came across was absolutely without doubt the worst, sullen, bad mannered, ignorant, lazy to the point you would think was quests of the hotel, when quests approach bar they ignored you, walked off and gave bad looks, I absolutely don’t know how they have been kept employed. I always approach all staff in all departments with the absolute respect they deserve wherever I stay with please, thank you, good morning etc and found most of staff here never responded or wanted to talk, with the exception of all the house keeping team I met and 1 receptionist, I found the staff to be quite unresponsive to the point I had to question my sanity 💁🏻‍♀️ Restaurant and snack bar food was exceptional, the restaurant food had loads of options covering many tastes and nationalities, very impressive, dining area was cleaned to a very high standard, lovely modern and spacey with a lovely bright huge outdoor eating area. Snack bar serving pizza, fruit, salad, hotdogs, cheese burgers, chicken nuggets, cakes and biscuits, with a large covered seating area, this area could do with a little TLC though and is where the ping pong table resides which isn’t great when trying to eat and ball going everywhere or just listening to the ping pong on bat 😵‍💫 Not a lot to nothing for older kids 8+ Especially in the evening, no air hockey tables, no pool tables, no machine games, no teen games room, in fact just 1 ping pong table which adults took over in snack bar seating area. The manager will comment that there’s a full activity daily program advertised for kids of all ages, there is not and nothing at all if weather isn’t suitable. Everything I have mentioned above is what stuck out in a positive or negative way for our stay 1 adult and 11 year old boy. There is so much more to this hotel, overall I had a good stay but would not chose to stay at this hotel again even though in my opinion I paid very little, TUI package holiday with early flight from Birmingham, check-in luggage 15kgs each, transfers to and from hotel to airport on AI stay for 7 nights with late night flight back to Birmingham £605 for both of us or £302.50 each, but still at this price hotel falls short, staff attitudes and lack of older kids amenities are important to me, this hotel in my opinion would not suit a family with varying ages groups of children. Now nothing to do at all with this hotel, but if on beach looking out to sea and look left you can see a little water park, this belongs to Sol Luna Day Resort & Aqua Park, please do not waste your money thinking great for your older kids it was 4 slides that’s it and costs 25 Lev each, beautiful sunny day took my 11 year old and 14 year old friend he met at our hotel, we walked down to hotel on lovely sunny day, paid (what a faff) within 30 minutes started to rain so they closed park, end of ☹️ but to be honest after 30 minutes they was ready to go anyway.
