Set a little way out of Santa Elena town, transport is ideally needed to get into town and restaurants, However this means it is quiet. Each separate cabin is well fitted out with kitchen facilities (no breakfast available), and has a great view across the valley. No A/C but not necessary in cooler mountain district. Christian is very helpful and...

Our very private cabin was situated on the side of a hill with spectacular views of the valley and the coast beyond that we could enjoy from our covered porch. The situation requires guests to carry their bags either uphill or downhill from their car, but they can perhaps help with this, if needed. Our room was very basic but...

We were staying in Herradura for 2 weeks. Not far from Jaco, which is a must see beach town also. We rented a Kia SUV during our stay and wanted to see Monteverde. Last minute my husband searched places to stay and we were fortunate to find an opening at Rainbow Valley Lodge. This opportunity was only due to a...

Me and my cousin stayed at the rainbow valley lodge for two nights. We could have stayed longer because this Lodge is so beautiful and the owner Christian does a really good job. We had an apartment with two bedrooms and a kitchen. The beds are very comfortable and also the bathroom and shower are great! The patio is very...

We had a wonderful time. The view from the room is gorgeous and we enjoyed sleeping with the windows open. It does get very windy at night, but it never bothered us. The location is perfect. It's just outside of town, but very easily accessible.

We stayed three nights here and Christian was extremely helpful and helped book tours and a shuttle service for us. The lodging is very clean and comfortable with a beautiful view of the valley. There is a choice of different sized cabins and I would recommend you book one with an outdoor deck to sit outside. You are only a...

Just spent 3 nights here and would highly recommend it if you are looking for clean and close to town accommodations. Unit 4 is the only unit with a TV, so you may want to consider this. Christian is a fabulous host and will look after all of your bookings. Laundry can also be done on site for a fee....

The lodge has a wonderful view over the valley and we couldn't have chosen a better lodge to appreciate the view and its wildlife. White faced monkeys came right up to the glass window of the balcony to greet us. We were warned by the host Christian that it would be windy so there was nothing to worry about.

Beautiful setting, short drive to Santa Elena. Clean comfortable and spacious. Christian is very helpful and a nice guy. Downside, no fault of the lodge is that it blows a bit in Monteverde and we caught it on a bad few days. The wind took your breath away.
