We checked in a week ago planning to stay four nights. But our stay was extended due to Hurricane Otto coming through (first hurricane to hit Costa Rica in over 150 years) but owners and staff have made our extended stay special. Not only did owners Nida and Daniello provide us accommodations that were clean, warm and comfortable, but they... More

Very clean and friendly hotel. We stayed in the principal house. The owner and her maids were very nice to us. In this remote town in the mountains, we found everything we needed in Las orchideas. Breakfasts were OK, monkeys and coatis everywhere on the balcony waiting for the generous cook to give them bananas, even when we arrived wet... More

We stayed for two nights at the hotel. The owner is a lovely woman who explained us everything about the area in perfect english (that is not always the case in Costa Rica). The room was nice and clean and the breakfasts taste really well. What was also great was the hot shower 😁

The Hotel is situated just at the entrance of St. Elena on the main road. This is the only thing that disturbed us a little. During the night, you might hear the traffic on the road. The hotel itself is clean and the rooms are big enough and some are new. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Just across... More

This hotel is truly a gem. The personal customer service you get is unmatched by any hotel or bed and breakfast I have ever stayed in. Every morning you are greeted with a nice breakfast. The location has a walkout with views of one of Costa Rica's many waterfalls.

We spent three wonderful days at Las Orquideas. The rooms are large, immaculate and pleasant. The breakfasts are delicious! The hospitality is AMAZING. We thoroughly enjoyed the owner's dining and local attraction recommendations, as well as her efficient assistance in helping us arrange tours and transportation. This experience was the highlight of our trip to Costa Rica!

This was exactly the type of place I was looking to stay at. Very homey, incredibly nice staff, & gorgeous view off of the balcony including animals that would come right up to you and you could feed. Very much enjoyed this B&B.

I would call this a B&B rather than a hotel. It has 4 or 5 rooms opening directly onto a breakfast area, kitchen and check-in desk. Our room was small and ‘rustic’ with no frills – a double bed and just enough room to walk around it. The room was clean and the shower was hot with good water pressure.... More

This was our second stay at Las Orquideas. The experience was every bit as good as our first great stay. The clean, quiet hotel is really more of a bed and breakfast, as Nidea and her husband live on site. Nidea is a treasure trove of information about local sights, tours, guides, etc. Rooms have updated, clean private bathrooms. It's... More

The rooms and grounds are really nice and exotic. Staff are really friendly and accommodating. Rooms include a bar fridge and TV. The grounds are quite scenic and include a pool and jaccuzi. The only negative experience I had here was finding a cockroach running across my pillow. The wifi connection was also not showing up on my phone in... More

Good morning! After reading your review I must ask if you haven't confused our hotel, Las Orquideas in Monteverde with another establishment. The main reason that I ask this is that you mention we offer a pool and jacuzzi and that the rooms all have TVs... all 3 of these statements are false! We do not have a pool, nor... More
