Large room, clean but a little dated. Bathroom had a huge bathtub. No coffee maker in the room or lobby. Bed was very, very firm but comfortable. The kitchen did make a lovely breakfast every morning. The hummingbird feeders on the porch off the dining room were wonderful.

We were nine travelers on a birdwatching tour of Costa Rica. Monteverde was our second stop and this hotel is a perfect launching point. The rooms are spacious and ours faced the South with great views of the Gulf of Nicoya and the Southern Cross. Breakfast every morning was plentiful and the service was attentive. They have their own trail...

Hotel Montana Monteverde is a perfectly nice and decent hotel, with good food and pleasant service. Nothing particularly stands out as exceptional. The rooms were clean, tidy, and good by CR standards. The cocktails were good at the bar.

We stayed here for two nights as part of a tour, so it was mainly a place to sleep and eat for us. The room gave a great first impression - spacious with a nice balcony overlooking rooftops and trees. There was no A/C, but it was not needed. There was a 5 AM symphony of birds having some great...

The hotel is nicely situated with splendid views of the surroundings. The food is quite good, even if I found the Jello-pudding somewhat strange. Good service and nice staff. It was a good place to stay at.

The hotell was nice overal, but there were a few things that makes me from not giving more than an avarage rate. We didn't get any cleaning of out room during the two night we stayed, even though we broke a glass and let the reception know about it. We didn't eat dinner there and I wouldn't since there was...

The grounds are beautiful, and we had a lovely view out of our window. There were also good ceiling lights in the room. There was a very large tub, and the shower was strong. We were in a building down a hill and across mud and grit from the main building. This required either hauling our bags up a significant...

Hotel Montana Monteverde, as previously reviewed, is certainly dated and well used. However, this hotel is very clean and quiet. It is perfectly situated if you are heading to any of the major attractions in the local area. All the staff have been outstanding - from the desk clerk who checked us in three hours early upon our arrival to...

We arrived on 30 Dec and the reception lady was very welcoming. We took our luggage to our Superior room which I am going to start with a positive - had an amazing view of the rain forest. That is the highlight of the room. The hotel got built in the 1970s, and looking at the hotel reception, breakfast room...
