Excellent service, nice rooms, clean area, delicious breakfast, tea and coffee available throughtout the day. They book different tours around the area for you. we had a very nice room at the ground floor with 2 walls of glass. We were able to get a lot of light in the morning and the sound of rain at night. Totally recommend...

We spent here our first night of the 1-week tour around Costa Rica and it was maybe the nicest stay. Rooms were clean, sheets smelled nice, hot shower, excellent hosts (when we checked-in they showed us what can we do around in Monteverde) ans super-breakfast. We had a room outside the main house and the rain during the night woke...

We had a great time at the Mar inn. Rooms are spacious and clean, shower is hot and the host is super friendly and helpfull. That, in combination with a top location and good breakfast makes this a nice place to stay.

Anthony and family made us feel very taken care of during our stay in Monteverde. They were very helpful and responsive to our needs. Everything was meticulously clean, including our bedroom and bathroom. We really appreciated the variety of healthy and tasty options for breakfast. The coffee was good too. Other pros: fridges and safes in room, very nice bathrooms,...

My family of three stayed here for 12 days during a service trip to the region. The rooms were clean and well appointed; ours had a patio out back; a balcony overlooked the town to the Gulf of Nicoya, a 1.5 hour drive away. The owners, the Mar family, do a wonderful job running the place. The son, Anthony, speaks...

We traveled with 6 adults and 3 children. We stayed in 3 separate rooms and would highly recommend rooms 7 and 3. This is a family owned and run B&B and they take great pride in their establishment. The rooms were spotless and the breakfast was delicious. We were treated with a spotting of the local sloth on our first...

After hiking the Monteverde Cloud Forest all day, this B&B couldn't be more welcoming! We did not have a reservation but the Mar Inn was recommended by a restaurant down the road. Beautiful hotel in a convenient location. Anthony was welcoming, gave us a good rate and answered all of our questions about the area. The building was spotless and...

We did not book in advance and followed the good review of the lonely planet. The welcome was nice and polite from the tenant who offered directly a green season price for a big double room 50$ (which is a fairly good price being in Santa Elena with a good level of comfort and at a walking distance from bars...

The staff here was friendly and helpful. There is a nice breakfast with the best bread I've had in Costa Rica. The porch is lovely to sit on, especially at sunset. I like that this inn is just outside of the little town - the walk is short to town, but it's just enough to keep the noise of the...
