We arrived on a dark rainy Saturday night by bus. The owners knew our arrival time and showed up at the bus station to pick us up!! Freddy helped negotiate the best family price for zip-lining with 3 different companies and arranged everything for us. Amazing caring people! Our family felt safe and cared for. The shared kitchen is very...

We have slept there two nights and it was nice and really close to the 'center'. The stuff was really really nice and friendly, the breakfast delicious and the kitchen very clean and well equipped. The room we stayed in was quite small and dark (it was the one located in the corner, unfortunatelly, the other ones were much lighter!!)...

This is a budget hotel so do not expect anything fancy. We had a double room with private bathroom and it was very clean. The staff is extremely helpful!!!! They recommended us canopy tours and give you a full map of the town and nearby activities as well as flyers for various activities. They book the activities for you and...

When we got to Cabinas El Pueblo, Freddy showed us our room and gave us a thorough review of the activities to do in Monteverde. Our room was very clean and comfortable. I liked the spirit of the place, and the spacious common kitchen space it offers to its guests. Breakfast was good, with satisfactory portions and they offered two...

It was a little tricky to find but once we did we were very happy with Cabinas el Pueblo. The room was clean and comfortable. The wifi worked ok. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. It's a short walk to town. And a nice breakfast to boot. All of this at a very reasonable price.

We booked this place before arriving in Monteverde. From the moment we arrived things went wrong. First, they tried to charge us more than our pre-booked rate. Then they told us they don't accept credit card (they do). We didn't have cash on us so the man on reception went to 'speak to his boss' (he looked inside a rucksack,...

Dear Friend. Sorry your comment to our stay, I think it is wrong to refer also to our place. If in our place, we work hard to be very cordial and friendly, and of course we accept all cards. If this comment really out to our lodging we ask a thousand pardons, because every day we work to improve and...

The interior is a bit outdated, but everything is very clean, which is the most important thing to me. I also loved the service the family provides - everyone is super helpful and eager to organize trips, shuttle services, tours etc. Breakfast was ok, very basic. Overall good value for money.

We were placed right next to the kitchen and dining area so that at 6 am there was loud noises until we were so frustrated we woke up. Breakfast was awful-only poor breakfast I've had in CR. Lied about promotion for wine, which is fine but they acted like we were mistaken even after showing the deal to them. The...

Dear Guest I'm sorry that your stay is not the best. We do not understand your comment. Here very good breakfasts are served, the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Now you remember our place is a hostel, not a 5-star hotel. Actually I say that you pay for a room, not for breakfast, since breakfast is a courtesy and...

We stayed here on out one night stop over to Monteverde last week and I found the guys at reception very helpful with booking tours and the rooms very clean. Our stay at Cabinas was lovely. The owner, Freddy, goes out of his way to help you with anything you need and is very friendly. The rooms are clean and cozy and the breakfast is a solid meal, the fact that it's free is a huge bonus in a country as expensive as Costa Rica. The showers are hot, the...
