This hostel is a real backpackers hostel. Altough it is small the house Just has a vibe. The wooden finish of the rooms gives a creak sometimes but its not disturbing at All. The hostel is very clean, the showers are very good and the Staff is exeptionally kind and helpful. The reception desk is cleverly placed with an overview...

This was a great place to stay in Santa Elena/Monteverde. The rooms/bathrooms are outdated but clean so I can't complain! I stayed in a 4 bed private bath room. It was a bit small when it was full of 4 peoples backpacks, but did the job. There are lockers for your things just being your own lock. The staff was...

I fell in love with Santa Elena/Monteverde and partly due to the welcoming feel of Monteverde Backpackers. The location is perfect, a minute walk from the supermarket and town. The hostel is small and friendly and the staff really great, their friendliness and jokes really made it what it was, thank you Alonso and Emile (sorry I don't know if...

The rooms were very nice, clean, and easy to access. The gentleman at the front desk was so, so helpful in figuring out the lay of the land, and helping us navigate and book all there is to do around the area. Most of the activities available have a shuttle that will stop right at the hostel. Great place to...

The rooms are super quaint, the beds are so confortable and each dorm has its own bathroom. The kitchen is small but fully equipped. We payed 12$US/night. Breakfast (eggs, bread,...

Stayed here two nights. I did not have the first reserved and the hostel was full but they found a place for me next door. It was clean and has free breakfast! The breakfast was eggs, bread, bananas, nutella and cereal. What more can you ask for?! The front desk guy was a great help booking trips and even did...

This was one of my favorite hostels in Costa Rica because of the other people who stayed there. There was such a mix of cultures and the living room there is perfect for meeting new people. It was such a fun place and the employees are very fun and welcoming as well. Strongly recommend!

This hostel was quiet and kind of empty when I was there (low season). But the staff was super helpful! They helped me figure out my plans, suggesting stuff to do, and when I decided to do a white water rafting that required I leave to San Jose a night earlier they gave me the money back for the night...
