My family stayed here in early December 2014 for two nights and have a fabulous time. Earlier in the trip we had been hiking and doing more outdoor activities up north, so we were really happy to get somewhere for rest and relaxation. This place was perfect for that. The pool area and restaurant are gorgeous and the beach is...

Beautiful setting, good service, tropical rooms...steps from the beach. would recommend for a getaway. There isn't much around the area so you would need a car to go into town. The restaurant had delicious food. We love it.

i must say that the biggest problem you will find in this hotel is the restaurant. i had dinner here twice and both days i had one of the worst meals during the entire 3 weeks i have been in CR. the meals come always with frozen chips and frozen vegetables. the drinks are extremaly overpriced. when you receive the...

Yes, we knew going in that the hotel was a little secluded.. We only stayed one night and I think that people who stay here longer and with a group will enjoy it more. If you like to do and see things each day but want some luxury/relaxation, I'd suggest exploring something closer to Manuel Antonio or Quepos. The beach...

Well upon giving my faith to our trusty GPS we arrived at what I call Nirvana. The staff and owner were super friendly, Edward ( the manager or do it all guy) even greeted...

My husband and I were traveling by day in our car and staying in random hotels along our route. We happened along the Clandestino Resort by chance, and wish we would have booked the whole week there! The rooms (cabanas) were comfortable, well appointed, and very romantic. The restaurant/bar was beautiful, with great food and staff. The beach was not...

My husband and I came here for the first two nights of our honeymoon. We had a rental car which made the remote location not an issue for us but instead a positive aspect. We usually had the beach, pool, and restaurant to ourselves! (This could be in part due to the time of year we went, but the place...

We arrived at Clandestino for 5 nights arriving March 14th (sorry about the delay in writing Diane!). We were so impressed on arrival, the resort is right on the Playa Palo Seco. A beautiful palm lined beach that goes on for miles. The road to this resort is not that bad, most of it along the ocean. We had a...

The hotel is really nice, the rooms very comfortable. We had one issue with the room and the staff was very helpful on helping change rooms with no trouble. Food and the pool was good.
