Stayed here for a night with family. Pretty nice property. Nicely done. Well maintained. Decent pool.
Downside is that the road is very bad leading to this place. Left and right are private properties. Right next to the beach, though you are not going to...More
Clandestino Beach Resort was part of our honeymoon in Costa Rica in september 2016.
During green season the road can become dirty and a 4-wheel is recommended, however smaller cars will also make it.

Might the the few of the places where I would stay in Palo Seco. Food is ok, the place is quite "Isolated", so if you want a place to stay to be quiet and enjoy nature, then this is the place for you.

When I traveled there in 2015 in the month of November their Caesar salad for 5700 colones, guacamole for 4500 colones hamburger for 5300 colones a dessert was around 5000-6000 colones... So for the things on the menu that are not expensive they are reasonable they did have items on the menu that were considerably more expensive (lobster, for example, I believe it was around $25-$30 US dollars). But on average our lunch daytime snacks, dinner with Dessert ran between 40,000 colones and 55,000 colones for myself, my husband and my six-year-old/day. He and I split a lot of meals. Which is not unusual for us....
No nightlife like a band or DJ. The bar is open until, I think around nine or 10 in the evening. The nightlife would be your self people to work in the bar and the other guests. Hope that helps!
It's not all inclusive. The food is overpriced and B- in quality. There's no entertainment or fitness. The beach is across the dirt road, but you can't swim because of dangerous currents. I recommend avoiding this place.
