Stylish, funky and totally comfortable. You’re are immersed in an authentic Sri Lankan experience... ideally located 50 metres from the beach (where you can swim with turtles). Loads to see and do nearby, day or night... with villa spicy offering moments of cool tranquility when needed. We were treated to the best dhal I’ve ever eaten... and Jayanthi and Kumari were exceptional at looking after you popping in as required without being at all intrusive. Perfect for couples or a family. Highly recommended.

Villa Spicy is welcoming and colourful and deeply comfortable. The two ladies who looked after us spoilt us with their cooking and cleaning and making sure we had a very relaxed stay. Coming back to Spicy after a trip out and climbing into the hammock was gorgeous. It's incredible value, decorated beautifully and we're coming back next year!

We stayed in the villa at the off season, because the villa isn't connected to the main road, we had to cross each time in a muddy road, cross the rail road tracks. At night the road was dark and with 2 small children, it's not so convenient. Although we ask a few time about hot water, and told by the owner that there is hot water.. the water was cold !! Solar system.. no sun no hot water... For family with 2 small children, it's important to know ahead that the room are separated, so if your child use to wake up at night, it's not convenient too. The owner know we come with children and didn't let us know. At spicy villa There is a house keeper how come every morning to clean, we wanted to have privacy so we told the owner that we don't need to use the housekeeper services .. and even though , the day after she comes to do laundry and to take the dry laundry that she dry at the balcony upstairs. It's felt like we're interrupt her. For us it was bad week there. We told the owner about our complaint but it's felt like he didn't really care.

We spent two magical nights in March at villa spicy. The villa itself is superbe! With a beautiful garden Full of exotic flowers and loungers and hammocks. There is a spacious kitchen and lounge area indoors and a baby football table to play on when you come home from a day at the beach. The villa is located 1 Minuit walk to the beach along path of palm trees and a stunning railway track. The rooms are cool and beautifully designed, making the stay unforgettable! With elephant trunk door handles and beautiful art work. The owner such a wonderful man and makes you feel so at home and happy, like part of the family, with amazing recommendations, and is just a kind soul! Absolutely amazing place, I would recommend it to anyone and would definitely visit again! Best villa in Sri Lanka :)

Close to the beach but nothing like other hotels. Here we stayed comfortably in a place equally suitable for a romantic couple or a family on adventure! A perfect location close to beach and city but completely hidden. Lush garden and kitchen with all the commodities but most of all the attention to detail: all the kitchen gear that we find at home, beautiful art, fresh flowers every morning and beach bags already packed and ready!

I stayed at villa spicy with some friends and we all agreed that it was by far the nicest place we stayed during our 3 week trip to Sri Lanka. It was easily accessible by Tuk Tuk and Galle was only around a 20 minute drive away. The villa is close to a lovely beach where we saw numerous turtles! The photos are extremely accurate to how the villa was during our stay. There are two generously sized bedrooms both with en suite bathrooms. There is also an outside dining table where we all had drinks looking over the garden. Overall we had a fantastic stay at villa spicy and I would recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting the area!

What a happy few nights we had at villa spicy, it is beautifully decorated and we all felt at home from the moment we arrived. It was pristine and what amazing bedrooms, bathrooms and outside seating areas! Jiyanthi the house keeper cooked a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast for us and was so helpful! The location is incredible and yet it feels like a secluded haven once you are in the garden of the beautiful villa. By far my favourite place in Sri Lanka- couldn't recommend villa spicy more highly- thank you thank you!!

Me and a group of university friends stayed here for 2 nights. It was the nicest place we have stayed in Sri Lanka! The attention to detail in the villa was amazing, with lots of bright bunting and cushions in the garden. The beds were so comfy! We spent our mornings visiting Galle (just 15 mins by Tuk Tuk) and swimming at Wijaya Beach (just across the railway in front of the house). In the afternoon we played scrabble and enjoyed the comfort of the villa. The house keeper was delightful and there to answer any questions we had. She also cooked us a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast on our last morning of Hoppers! Koki the owner of the villa was also delightful and helped us with anything we wanted to know and book. Couldn't recommend this place more. Thank you! Xx

Jayanthi the house keeper was so helpful and cooked the most amazing curry for breakfast. Stunning decor and incredibly clean. Extremely comfortable beds. Brilliant location with beautiful beaches. Looks identical to pictures, hugely recommended. Our best and favourite place to stay in Sri Lanka.

Lovely villa just short walk from beach. Wijaya beach dies amazing wood fired pizzas. There is also a shallow bit of sea which is safe to swim in and very warm. However my husband got an ear infection and we fear it was picked up in this sea? Lovely to walk along the beach but definitely lots of tourists on this bit. We preferred Unawatuna which although touristy too hadva more authentic feel for us. We also went to jungle beach and to the peace pagoda (worth a visit) all these places easily accessible from villa spicy by tuk tuk - the tuk tuk drivers are to be found the other side of the train track and we would call up too for them to collect us - really good service. Villa spicy very homely and there is a lovely housekeeper/cook who made us wonderful food and drinks and cleaned every day with her auntie and made us feel very welcome - delicious curries - thank you!! The villa had a very spacious patio with dsy bed and huge tabke and chairs with a small lawn where my son played football. There were board games and we often played scrabble too. My son watched quite a few DVDs too in the evening. Upstairs was another small terrace and the two bedrooms. All beds with mosquito nets. I must admit I didn't find the bed hugely comfortable and we didn't get the air con quite right but it was an amazing place to stay and we woukd definitely come back. The price was right, jacinthe delightful and we woukd like to visit Mirissa nextbtime. Definitely go to Galle. We enjoyed walking around and watching the sunset and the locals play cricket. Villa spicy was a fantastic base and s lovely place to wake up in and come back to at the end of the day!!
