A small, family-run hotel with 6 rooms on three levels in a modern building directly overlying the sea. A friendly welcome from the owner with delicious fruit juices. Clean and comfortable rooms with air-conditioning and balconies directly over the waves. Standing on the balcony you can spot turtles swimming in the clear pools! Unawatana beach is adjacent to the hotel and there are plenty of restaurants - though the meal we had at the hotel, cooked by the owner's wife was great - aromatic, authentic Sri Lankan rice and curry, a wonderful variety of ingredients and flavours. This is not a fancy five star hotel but it does what it should, and very well. For us, watching turtles and eating home-cooked food made it superb.

A nice welcome with a delicious fruit juice. That was the highlight of our one night stay (we had booked 4 nights but we just had to cancel). The room had ants everywhere; the bathroom, the fridge, on the bed. In addition, the bed was sandy and not from us as we hadn't been to the beach yet, so we both had a terrible sleep. It was a deluxe room and it was very small and dark and VERY loud with the sea just outside and holes in the rooms wall (as part of the design). We stayed in a more expensive, 4 star hotel down the road and it was the best decision we made. Pay the extra money to stay in a clean, comfortable place. The manager was also very rude once we god him we wanted to move. He shouted over us. He also told agoda we were moving because we wanted to stay in a cheaper hotel.. How arrogant of him for such a modest hotel (more like guest house).

It's remarkable stay I can say, warm welcome from the owner with his adorable son and daughter at the first step you are in and refreshing welcome drink with locally taste which completely relief your tiredness after long journey. Room was simply specious with lovely balcony facing beautiful sea, continues wave sound givin' you sense of peace and relax, comfy bed and bath room amenities are just fine with their standard. Exploring the local cuisine, heavenly taste of rice and curry which been prepare by the owner and his team was really bouncing me up to highest level of satisfaction which i couldn't find in other restaurant near by and i was really enjoying myself. Tuc tuc and limo which available you can rent with reasonable price is simply additional touch for guest to explore the city, even the owner would drive you wherever you are like to go at your convenient time. I wish that i could stay little bit longer but even though short it's really worth it and memorable. Looking forward to visit them back in the future... Thanks to the owner Mr. Chandana See u until next time...
