Ordered this hotel in the last minute. Soft and big bed and AC. We had a big area outside the room with sea view. The shower was good, but we had some problems cause we didnt have any water, but the hotel fixed it really fast. Good breakfast and polite hosts. They had a cute dog there, but it barked alot at strangers, so it was a little scary. Cool cat, though. Nice hotel for a nice price with a goooood location.

We spent a night at this place & our group included seven adults & two kids. We booked two triple bedrooms & one double bedroom. This was recommended to us by a friend of ours & we wanted a cost-effective place which was near the Unawatuna beach. The manager was friendly & helpful. He escorted us to our rooms & since there was an unappealing smell in one room, he also got it changed for us. It seems that their clientele is foreign backpackers. Cleanliness is a major concern of this place. For instance, the towels had stains in them & we did not use them. Since it was the Sinhala New Year season, we felt that they were short of staff & therefore, they did not serve dinner. However, they helped us to order food from nearby restaurants. Following day was a bad experience for us as the manager was not there on the premises. Two ladies were in charge of the place. Their service was unprofessional & the breakfast was very basic. They served orange cordial instead of fresh juice & on top of that, the cake was a grocery bought sponge cake which we did not find palatable even to try. They initially told us that they were going to serve curd but they never did & they almost forgot to serve the tea until we requested for it. Checkout was not smooth as the lady was clueless about the rates we were initially offered & kept calling someone to clarify the amount which we found very unprofessional & unpleasant.

The hotel may be nice. I did not get to know even if I had paid for the room in advance. On december the 18th 2017 I paid for 4 nights starting at 2nd of january 2018 at this hotel trough hotels.com. That is paid, not booked. According to hotels.com: "your booking is guaranteed and all paid for." Also I would not be able to cancel or refund the room. On january the 1st 2018 whilst I was travelling I received an email from the hotel: "we are sorry for this information.according to our booking system this booking seems like over booking..kindly we can help you to find some other property". That is 14 days after I paid for the ticket. There could be that the hotel is so incompetent that they have 2 booking systems that do not communicate with each other, but during 14 days they should have managed to sync these systems!!! I am not buying this excuse! Instead I think someone showed up in their lobby on 1st of january and wanted a room and since the hotels charge more when you do not go trough booking sites they opted to boot me and earn some more money. Instead of letting the hotel resolve this problem, I contacted hotels.com and they arranged another room which btw I was not very happy with. I got a large but not very nice room fit for a family with a rented car when I was 1 person travelling just wanting a small but nice room.

Well, the location was great, just nearby the beach. The breakfast was good/ok. But the room smelled like mold, really mold, the WiFi only worked for a couple of minutes (in two days) and the staff was not very friendly at all. Nah, you can probably find better places for the same amount of money.

an unpleasant experience. My overnight stay at the prime time hotel on 24-26 December. . There was a party at the reception. staff and uniformed police officers. drank heavily. we went to bed. but at 0200, it started with fighting. and knife rigging. they smashed the reception and glass. there was screaming and shouting for a long time. . This continued throughout the night. and there was no one to imform or help. we were very helples. and wanted to leave the hotel. but did not dare because of lack of information or assistance from staff. which was not there. next morning on December 25th. At 0800 we left the hotel. and demanded our money back. they would only pay for 1 night. when they thought we had slept there the first night. we did not sleep when we feared our safety. .

Thank you very much your comment Sir, we apologize if you have been with any uncomfortable situation. We would like to comment on the situation which happens in Christmas day just to clarify some misunderstanding. As the day was full of guests in Unawatuna beach and all of them were really enjoying the Christmas. In this situation due to some outside people suddenly came and started kind of a tense situation foe their personal matter as they dunked heavily due to Christmas day. We were able to calm down the situation even before police comes to the hotel. We were full of bookings with the hotel and our security personals made the guest security first as a responsible hotel where no any casualty to the guest except screaming sounds. Even we could not let anyone to leave and made the hotel as secure place with the support of Police with in few minutes. As we are in Unawatuna for last 05 years this was the first time we experience this kind of a situation. When people gathering for party occasion this kind of situation happens very rarely. Then we have improved new security plan by discussing with our security company in order to further secure the guests by improving the CCTV operations too. As u all booked for 2 days (nonrefundable) we have charge only the night stayed, then we return money for you on your request even it is high end Season days. Again we really apologize for the inconvenience caused. I hope you can understand. Very rarely this kind of situation happens in any tourism area due to gathering for the enjoyments even we experience this once in 05 years.
