We ordered several drinks, among cocktails which barely had alcohol. We complained but didn't do anything about, just proposed to add soft drinks. Afterwards they put higher amounts on the bill than what was on the beverage menu which felt as a rip-off. On top of that the service was slow and it is more expensive than other bars. One advice, avoid the bar which will serve you better and not rip you off.

Had lunch at sunny beach, extremely overpriced, for the same old boring fare served at all the beach bars. I guess it was no worse than others from a menu and choice perspective, however it was far more expensive than a nearby bar we had eaten at the previous evening. Slow service, tired old broken sunneds offered free if you eat there, the only enticement. My advise walk further up the beach.

Only stoped here for a tea to plan the next stay on our trip - for this the waiter promised WiFi. However, he did only have the passport for the neighbors WiFi, which was slow even for Sri Lanka. The tea was wonderful.

Ruwan is one of the best chef in unawatuna...He really an amazing curries, devilled chicken and seafoods...the best salad i've ever had. We tried another restaurants (the one's suggested by trip advisory but Ruwan made more better dishes and you can even request according to your palate)I believe this restaurant is just underrated.

I ordered the deviled chicken. The chicken was so over cooked and deep fried it was like eating compressed sawdust deep fried in overused oil. Totally inedible. I couldn’t swallow my food and had to spit it out. The rest of the veg and rice was drenched in sweet sauce by which point I had no appetite. Sent my food back and was presented with a bill and forced to pay for my meal. My partners food had dirt in it. He also didn’t eat his. We sent back full plates of food. When I told the host how bad my food was, he even knew before I started my sentence what was wrong with the food as other people had complained about the same thing. Told me how sorry they were. Then when I paid I told him one should not need to pay for inedible food and was told again how sorry he was. I told him he didn’t know or understand the meaning of sorry and left. And it wasn’t cheap either. Definitely not going back. I would give it a 0 star rating if TripAdvisor allowed it.
