I was in Dallawella Beach Resort during early June 2012. It was a pretty decent hotel by the beach and the prices are very reasonable (way cheaper than hotels in Colombo, the capital) .The staff was very polite and their service was excellent. What is more, I have to mention the wooden cabana just by the beach. I highly recommend...

We have been staying at The Dalawella Resort for two nights, we booked for four and have decided to stay longer. It is very quiet and the beach is beautiful. Other visitors are saying that the hotels in Galle are much more expensive and no where near as beautiful. The rooms are simple but clean, the beach cabana is very...

The hotel is located a bit away from the busy main beach in Unawatuna which suited us perfectly. The waves are a bit too high here but only a short walk on the beach away is a natural rock pool perfect for swimming and a bit of snorkelling. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and the food absolutely delicious...

What i liked about this place was the location, attentive staff. Small resort with 8 rooms. Only downside i saw was couple of dogs on the beach which bothering my son little bit. They have excellent view of the beach from the seabeds. We did the right thing in choosing this resort. Thanks a lot for making for stay comfortable...

We just returned from four nights in the Cultural Triangle followed by four nights on the beach at Dallawella. Despite the mixed TA reviews, we chose to give them a try. <Good Call> It was a busy week and the nearby competitors were going to cost considerably more $$. Dallawella has only 8 rooms and we were hoping for some...

Just spent 3 days at this beach hotel. It's main great asset is the location - literally set on a stunning clean quiet beach. No noisy music - just the sound of the waves crashing on the shore - bliss. We ate at the hotel on every evening of our stay and the food was simple but edible - I...

We just returned from a 3 night stay at Dalawella. We stayed in the beach cabana they have which is set round the corner from the main part of the hotel and we loved it. It's obviously very basic (it's a beach cabana!) but there's a big four poster bed and the bathroom was massive. What we loved most is...

The Dalawella is not flash or elegant, but it offers clean and pleasant accommodation with the advantage of being right on the beach. The rooms are quite plain but have really high ceilings and air-con which really helps in this climate. You could probably take your own towels as the ones provided are small & very thin ! The outside...

I arrived and the bathroom had not been cleaned. The staff makes up for most shortcomings, however. My sheets also had dirt marks on them but those were promptly replaced just as the bathroom had been promptly cleaned. The room was not cleaned once during my 4 nights there. I didn't mind but they did not even offer. When I...
