I visited the hotel along with family the room they offered me was fully damp with Damp bath towels, bed lines .... The authority did'nt cared to even put a room freshner in the room and provide some healthy staff as i was travelling with family. The hotel rooms r not worth at all the price they are offering it for.... Food not bad but very selective repeated menu in breakfast.... The Manager though tried to attain all the time and even helped us to attain a party on 24th eve next door.... Staffs were also good.... But some more attension needs to be provided to maintain the rooms as they r almost charging 130$ per day which is not at all worth.... The only good thing about the property is its pool with beach .... Even the hotel is located far from Main Unawatuna beach area..... I felt 1000z better options are there....

The reviews for this villa were really great, and I would agree the location is stunning. Beautiful private beach, great pool and old colonial style house. Sadly the rooms are in need of updating. The bathrooms were moldy and musty. Mould on the curtains, and the shower trickled. Towels were clean but not fresh smelling. The ground floor bedroom in the house was a good size, traditional furniture. However the mosquito net was so holey, no help at all. The room was not cleaned for 3 days. Breakfast was perfectly adequate and eggs cooked well. Could have had more if needed. Our friends checked out after 1 day as their rooms and bathroom was poor. As the room had been paid for for another 3 days, we asked if our driver could stay. I was told no, it was against policy to allow locals to stay. I found this quite insulting. They eventually agreed, but gave him the room near the beach that was being renovated, not the one paid for, and then didn't give breakfast, despite that being pre paid for. I found this really mean.

Amor Villa is a wonderful place. It is quite, nice rooms, a nice pool with a wonderful view. Also the food is good. Specially the homemade dinners with rice and curry. But the best is the staff: they always want the best for you and we feel like living home with a big family. They take really care of us and we did not miss anything. The kids love this place! We really want to come back! Thank you!

The villa has a comfortable homely feel and is well looked after by the friendly staff. Our room had an amazing view of the pool and sea where you could wake up in the morning and look out from the bed to the sight and sound of the waves crashing on the beach in front. The beach is clean and mostly deserted, great for early morning strolls and even a rock pool close by to bathe and watch the sea life. If it’s a place you need to unwind and relax yourself, this is it. When you are ready to socialize again, the location is great for a tuk tuk ride to Galle, Unawatuna, Wijaya Beach and Thalpe.

We enjoyed staying in this small hotel as it was quite different to the more traditional tourist hotels we had experienced for much of the tour. We had an upstairs room in the annex with a balcony above the beach; ideal if you like to sleep to the sound of the sea but quite noisy when rough if you don't. The room was simple in design but was a little tired, particularly the bathroom. Everything worked though. Meals were taken in the main house, which is colonial in nature. We ate dinner, which was included, on the terrace. We were given no choice in first evening although the tuna was excellent. We agreed our meal on the second night directly with the chef. Breakfast was also table served and again you could ask for items as you required them. A nice change from the traditional breakfast buffet. Just be careful when ordering food to confirm what is covered by the price and what is extra. The pool was clean and inviting. The hotel is well situated for beach holidays, the lowland rain forest and Galle.
