We were delighted wiht the facilities as the rooms lovely, large and well equipped. From the porch we could often see wildlife such as warthogs which was one of my favourite animals. The staff were outstanding and the food was first-class.

Me and my husband stayed here for one night on our two day safari tour out of Kampala. The location is perfect right in the middel of the park. Wild animals just outside our room. We arrived late and left early so we didn’ t see the surroundings. We had trouble sleeping because of the heat and lack ofAC. In addition the bed was too hard. My back aced so I am glad that we wouldn’t stay longer. Good sleep is important on a safari! The shower worked fine and there were no bugs in our room. Food was good but nothing special.

We stayed two nights at this lodge. I would highly recommend it. The staff is very professional. The rooms at clean and roomy. They have air conditioning. The food is very good. After the sun goes down, wild life actually comes onto the property. You can set on the porch and see wild bores come up looking for food. If you want, they will provide a box lunch if don't want to come back to the lodge for lunch. We did this two days. One morning there were at least thirty waterback deers just lying on the property just in front of the porch. The only negative is that wifi is only in the lobby area of the lodge.

We got a room with the Nile River views. And you could see antelopes wandering in the compound of the lodge. The lodge is nice and basic. Hot water is available but not powerful for a good shower. Meals served are buffet for breakfast and dinner. Forget about WiFi.

An effort to get here via the ferry then a further 40 minute drive, but reasonably happy with Pakuba Lodge. We stayed 2 nights at full board costing 490 usd for 2 persons, additional ranger game drives were paid separately to the ranger at 20 usd. We arrived around 7.30pm when dark was settling in, and at the car park staff came out from nowhere to assist us with our luggage. Easy check-in and all the rooms are very close to reception and restaurant areas. Lots of flies and bugs around the resort at night, so nothing new there. The whole set up looks lovely with clear concrete walkways, well manicured lawn/greenery, clean and tidy pool area, and terraces coming with all rooms. The rooms itself look fab from the outside with artistic stone walls and thatched roofing, but inside apart from the bed, is pretty basic. Rooms inside are big but the space has not been maximised to its potential, as there was a lot of plain areas that perhaps should of portrayed the safari theme more to it's imagination. Power points for chargers were by the front door as opposed to being in the normal bedside location. Fridge not working but we didn't really use, so did not chase up reception about fixing. Though we had a problem with our hot water. Spoke to reception about this, and they got an engineer to solve this, but on our return from a game drive the problem was still at large. Cold showers do seem to get the brain sharper during these early mornings! Food here was good, brekkie and dinner being buffet with packed lunch in between. The resort seems like a very popular choice amongst tourists, as there was always plenty of people out and about. Wifi here works good but only in reception/lounge/restaurant, and not in the room. The swimming pool is glorious for those who just want to chill after one too many game drives, but we just wouldn't of been able to relax with the thought of being greeted by any four legged friends. During the night we heard some commotions outside our room, which were four waterbucks enjoying the peace. Shame we didn't have other close-up animal experiences, as the lodge has no fence surrounding so that animals can roam where they please. Staff did say to us that hippos and hyenas can visit every so often during the night. All the staff here were excellent and very attentive to our enquiries and trying to make our stay better, but Junior is the main man who is constantly smiling and has a welcoming demeanour about him. We had our own vehicle with our own personal guide, but had a ranger (Patrick) accompany us for an early morning drive and we witnessed quite a lot, with a pride of eight lions being the highlight. Overall great stay but just needs a few things ironing out so that this can become a fantastic lodge at that...
