Man, what a special place. Right on the water, with the sound of the hippos at night, watching the sunset, and sitting out by the bon fire after a great meal. Can't beat it. We stayed in a Thatched Cottage with our daughter and absolutely loved it (although, honestly, if you're not spending too much time in the room, a... More

We stayed in River Lodge only one night but we enjoyed it a lot. We took the cottage on the river bank which was a cool great place. Clean, hot water, comfortable beds and well built. The food was good - all three meals - and the atmosphere was very relaxing. I wish we could have spend there another night,... More

Lovely spot right on the edge of the Nile, Fantastic views across the water to the mountains of DRC across the river. Beautiful sunsets and great facilities. Nice restaurant, good food. Hippos and warthogs roam around the campsite, be warned if you go back to your tent at night!

We stayed at this lodge for 2 nights and we enjoyed our stay. The location was nice and recharging. Upon arrival from hectic journey you are welcome with cool welcome drink for recharging yourself. The lodge has ample area for walking, children's play and even sun-set and sun-rise points. The food served at the lodge is tasty and delicious. The... More

Lovely location set on the river. Good food, friendly staff, nice tent rooms. Fantastic boat trip from lodge to Murchison Falls. Saw literally hundreds of hippos plus crocodiles, giraffe, warthogs and deer. Awesome.

Glam tents/lodges with en-suites so close to the bank of the Nile that hippos are regular visitors in the camp. The food was good although limited in choice. The pool and pool area was nice but the pool was over chlorinated. Free broadband was available but only in the pool area. The views were fantastic. Staff friendly. Service wasn't always... More

We arrived late in the evening after a very long day and were immediately handed freshly squeezed watermelon juice. It was so refreshing after being on the go since 5 am that morning and especially delicious after drinking warm water all day long in the car! Murchison River Lodge does the expected very well - beautiful, clean accommodation, lots of... More
