This is a small heaven. You wake up to a clear view of the sun rising with beautiful sounds of the water splashing over the rocks beneath. Breakfast was served in the comfy restaurant outside with a view of an awesome nature. Its was a lifetime experience watching the hippos eating away at the grass just below the restaurant in...

We stopped by Chobe for lunch after spending 2nights at Paraa. The lodges belong to the same owner. But what Paraa has, is location with close proximity to the game tracks. Chobe however has much better facilities. This is a genuine 5star experience. The lunch is at a different level. The food was excellent, and the view from the terrace....

After a long drive through Uganda and Murchison National Park we got to Chobe. It could not start better as we saw at the entrance around 50 giraffes at sunset. After the check in we went to the pool, where we witnessed just 30 metres away from us a buffalo a hippo (a few warthogs) and an elephant just standing...

I was appalled by the state of the camp site, the rude customer service and the safari factory that churns out tours with guides who couldn't care less. The day I was there our guide knew there was a pack of fifteen lions in the park but didn't even try to find them out of sheer laziness. Ruined my whole...

I returned to Chobe with my wife and her brother and sister in law after last visiting in 1971 as a young teenager. As a family I remember spending Christmas 1970 & 1971 at Chobe and loving it then. Little has changed to the lodge except for its decor and the cascade of lovely pools. The views and setting are...

The setting of Chobe Lodge is right along the Victoria Nile and you can sit back and hear the hippos and other big game right from your room. The lodge itself is just a little worn and although it is top notch in every category: clean, good food, possibly the best swimming pools in Uganda........it is way overpriced. So, sorry...

We stayed here for one night near the end of our photo safari. Next time, I would stay here for the entire safari period. The food was excellent and was only exceeded by the venue and its majestic views.
