Stayed here for a couple of nights in a twin Banda. Basic facilities but adequate for overnight stays. Two shower and toilet blocks which are kept clean. We found the meals excellent especially bearing in mind its remote location and reasonably priced. Yes Baboons, water hog and hippos can visit the site. There are tents available or you can DIY... Charming camp. Great meals. Great crew. Good basic clean rooms. A bit of a problem with the odd hippo roaming the camp at night, and the Huge baboons all around, but I quess that's what it's all about. Thank you red Chilli. Until next time qwaheri.

This was our base for our three day safari in Murchison Falls National Park, and it was really great! Our group stayed in the tents, which are perfect for storing all your stuff in and sleeping each night. The tents and bathrooms were all very clean, and the bar/restaurant lounge was a great place to hang out around lunchtime and... More

I stayed here for the 3 nights in May of this year. The 'Bandas' were clean, spacious and had plenty of hot water, but the room did get hot at night. Electricity was provided through a generator that was switched off at mid-night. Charging stations for the devices was provided in the restaurant The staff were very helpful and accommodating.... We stayed here for two nights as part of a package deal. It is the cheapest we could find and that is evident in the facilities and the food. It's a cool place to meet other people who travel affordably but prepare yourself for no water in the showers, a choice between three dishes only for dinner, and a very... More

Dear Guggi1987 Thanks very much for taking the time to leave a review on your Red Chilli experience. I really would like to stress that future travellers should not have to prepare themselves for a lack of water and I do hope you received adequate information about the huge problem we faced for a few days in June. We definitely... More

I stayed here as part of a safari package from Red Chilli. Wasn't sure what to expect but the overall experience with my stay exceeded my expectations -- Almost walking into a hippo on my way back to the tent, being chased by a baby warthog shortly after, the sunsets and sunrises...Loved it. Would come back just to stay there... More

Dear NW T Many thanks for the great feedback..so glad you enjoyed the camp and the wildlife that passes through it! Due to a water crisis we have suffered huge problems with the bathrooms but thankfully this has now been rectified. Hope to see you back here sometime soon and hopefully you'll find them spotless! The highlights were the hippos walking around the camp at night, but the fire show by the campfire was cool as well. The dining area is very comfortable and for sure a good place to rest and enjoy a beer. The food was acceptable. The only negative thing was that some of the girls at the counter seemed really lazy.... More

Its the only cheap place in Murchison falls so if you are on a budget this is the only place to stay. Having said that, the place is amazing. The campfire with a view, the tents very clean and maintained. The food is good but expensive.

Dear Saurabh R Thanks very much for taking the time to review Red Chilli Murchison and for the great feedback. We think that at under US$5 per main meal our prices are much more competitive than most restaurants in Uganda, but I'm happy you found it tasty if not the best value! Really hope to welcome you back again one... More

As with all the national parks in Uganda, decent accommodation is extortionately priced. Red Chillis is a great alternative to spending the big bucks, as it is slap bang in the middle of the park and has a huge family of wart hogs to keep you entertained at dinner. The camp fire over looking the Nile is spectacular, and a... More
