I read the pet policy. But what would happen if it is a service dog, the majority of the clients that go to Algodones are Americans if an American arrives with a SERVICE DOG and their documents that prove it, should not be charged because Athe low is that SERVICE animals are not considered a pet because is a working dog.

The Hotel is very little crowded and not comfortable, the beds are hard, no sitting area in the rooms, so if you want to watch TV you have to sit or lay in your bed , the bathroom floors where dirty and SECIBD HAND SMOKE EVERYWHERE there were signs everywhere staring “Smoke Free Rooms” but right beside it was the Owner sitting there smoking 🚬 and the entire hallway that leads to our bedrooms were filled with smoke... We told her I have asthma and asked her that we were confused why there were those signs there and there were ashtray and smokes every where, her reply was “yes everybody smokes here and there is another area you can go and sit if you don’t like the smoke”. REALLY!? how rude and odd was to hear that answer.. we were with a paraplegic person who was there for treatment whom can hardly move, and she wanted us to moved to the other side of the hotel so she could smoke ... I had to stuffed the bedroom door with towels under and below the door to stop smoke from coming inside it was a nightmare!!! However The Staff members were amazingly helpful, very eager to help in any way they could, especially a guy named Eloy was very professional !!! I would not recommend this hotel because it’s expensive doesn’t have good food at all and some mornings they are not even there ... Not too many choices when it comes to hotels in town, but i would definitely not go back here ... The medical staff told us we could stay in the USA side Hotels and they send shuttles to pick up clients.

I was supposed to get a free 2-night stay as part of warranty work being done by Sani Dental (who are fabulous). I arrived after having had a root canal and was told I had to pay them in FULL at check-in and Sani woild subtract the stay from my bill. When I told them I paid my bill with Sani in full and showed them the paperwork proving it, they STILL insisted I pay in full or I couldn't check in. I had to take the shuttle back to Sani who told me it NEVER SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED and would call the manager to resolve the issue. I said I would not return to a hotel where I had been treated so rudely. They put me up at the Cielito Lindo where they were kindness itself - especially Josie who did everything she could to make me feel welcome. DO NOT GO TO HACIENDA if you can help it. I didn't even get a smile when I first walked in the door and it went downhill from there.

Arrived at night, the customer service was not friendly at all and slow down all the process plus we had a pet. For $ 60 room and $ 35 pet, we got small room with broken bed, broken drawer, broken fridge, opened water botels and so on. Plan to stay 4 days turn just a day. At the end found out the price of room $ 50 and pet $ 10.

I've stayed at this hotel many times and have enjoyed it very much and have also referred it to others. I stayed last month with a friend and was disappointed to learn i had to pay $35 per dog per day! Not deposit...rent! Later I read in their statement that the price was $10. Quite a difference. So i was overcharged $50. There was no damage done by my dogs. I also noticed a big increase in dining rates also. Not a great way to treat returning visitors. However, Tony (manager) was still very nice. At least one thing stayed the same.
