This hotel afforded us a surprising pleasure above our expectations. I guess I feared something like a "motel chain" experience one finds in the USA. Instead we found an original, clean, conscientious, and even cozy, environment, in a terrific location. I adored the front desk staff. There were three or four women who were so genuinely friendly (not a put-on...

Stayed in one of the higher level rooms in the new block. Large room with separate spacious bathroom including walk in shower. All very modern and clean. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Outside seating area and larger terrace overlooking the hotel area and the beach. Narrow beach with sun at particular times of day because of the...

I must admit, I am very surprised by the Average reviews as this was not our experience at all. A friend in Le Gosier booked the room for us in a last minute reservation. We took the hotel shuttle bus and were greeted at the hotel as you'd expect to be. They put us in our room and within 10...

We spent four nights exploring this beautiful archipelago while based at the Bois Jolie Hotel which is situated about three quarters of a mile from the little town and ferry dock and built into a hillside that runs down to what is virtually its own private sandy beach and jetty. The rooms are mostly bungalows within the grounds plus a...

We stayed in a bungalow with a small garden overlooking the ocean, it was so beautiful it took my breath away. It is a family-owned business with very friendly people running it. The location is pure perfection. The beach is gorgeous (just watch out for sea urchins).

This could be Paradise. The most beautiful place with excellent snorkling possibilities. Fine service in terms of transport to town. Warm- hearted manager. Poor wifi. Breakfast poor. Daily insufficient fruit, especially ananas, shortage of croissants, left-over bread from yesterday. Insects on the buffet. One of the servants told me that the guests ate too much! Not a proper hotel standard!...

We've been to Guadeloupe many times as we really love the islands, the people, and the food. This was our 3rd stay at the Bois Joli and the first time we've stayed since their amazing renovation. We love to relax here and can get to the village easily by hotel shuttle or a pleasant morning walk. We enjoy the pool,...

Let's start with a couple of caveats . . . Other than day trippers, Les Saintes get very few English speaking visitors. Not many stay overnight. You are not only in the Caribbean, you are also in France. If you can't live without US levels of service, and don't want to try at least a few words of French then...

We stayed 1 night here. The location of this hotel is wonderful overlooking the Pain De Sucre beach. The hotel room itself is ok - nothing special but functional. However, the service and welcome leaves much to be desired! This was not a language issue as I spoke French the whole time. I can't imagine what it would have been...
