Stayed here one night. The staff were friendly and we found everything very clean and comfortable . The beds were good too. The breakfast was delicious . Central enough to get to most places. Would stay there again.

We were looking for somewhere to stop of for the night on our way back from the highlands. We had original found the hotel on booking.com priced at £55 a night including breakfast which seemed very reasonable as its holiday season. As has become out standard, we called the hotel directly so as we often feel sorry for the independent... More

The hotel is big. Our bedroom was nice and clean. The beds were comfortable. The wifi worked extremely well. The location is good, not far away from the city center and the staff was nice. The breakfast was nothing special. Nice stay

We stayed here so we could attend the Highland Rising across the road at the Newtonmore folk museum. The receptionist gave us a warm welcome when we arrived and told us everything that we needed to know for our stay. Our room was fresh and clean with a nice bathroom which had a lovely big shower. The hotel was almost... More

Family room with double an 2 single beds. Very 60s décor but clean and the bathrooms are refurbished. there is a wee walk over to the main area and breakfast so if you have mobility issues make sure you ask for a main area downstairs room. Thin walls so the family rooms can be a bit noisy. recommend the fish... More

Lovely evening dinner Crofters pie best ive tasted served by Anna who was polite and very professional all the staff were attentive. The experience was marred by the lady on the next table mouthing off and blackmailing staff to get an extrA roll - shouting " bad review " - i wish they would shove one in her mouth -... More

The pub at the Highlander is a friendly place where tho locals congregate in the evenings. The staff are friendly and the patrons seemed happy (I did not stay there), but whatever you do, do not order the hamburger. It was totally overcooked, hard as rock and completely tasteless - pub food at its worst. The chips were very good,... More

Have stayed here on numerous occasions, on a bed breakfast and dinner basis, for the weekend. Arrived today. Smooth check in as usual. I asked for a ground floor room as we have our dog with us. Got exactly what we asked for. Room is really nice, with the best shower I have come across in any hotel I have... More

My wife and I stayed here during a two-week UK vacation with Trafalgar. This was a great place to feel and experience the wonders of Scotland. We had great service from everyone associated with the hotel. The bartender was a kick in the pants and the wait staff were very attentive. The bathroom was by far the largest we experience... More

Found this hotel and the staff great for a couple of nights, had stayed at this hotel a couple of years ago on a similar tour, and it was good to note the hotel remained at its high standards.
